I would love a video on the disneyland/california adventure shows (fireworks, parades, world of color, etc.). I've been to Disneyland several times but have never seen a show. I'm a ride junkie for sure but would really like to slow down and see some of the things ive been missing out on. I have a trip planned soon and have been trying to research a guide but can't really find a comprehensive one. The whole thing confuses me, like dining packages for exclusive seating, show times, the queue in the app??? I just have so many questions. Just an idea that would hopefully be helpful to others too!!
That would be amazing!!!
Thank you for this video and the Disneyland rides video! So helpful!!
This was so easy to listen to and watch! You gave us a great presentation of each ride 🙌🏼 also, I really believe Amy has the million dollar smile! When she smiles, I find myself smiling back ☺️🙃
Thank you!
You’re the man awesome video !!!!👍🏽
Great vlog! Very informative and concise. Recommended your channel to friends looking to visit Disneyland Resort as the best to watch for no nonsense explanations of what to expect in the parks. Oh and love Radiator Springs for its speed and ROTR for its content/story.
Thank you for posting this. We are going to California Adventure this Wedneday. It has been many many years, and a lot has changed. I showed my family this video and they are excited to go. This video gives me an idea how to plan the day. Thank you again.
I'm going in two weeks an wanted to get back into the Disney spirit, thank you for the video I appreciate it wo much😊.
Thanks for the great video! Rise of the Resistance is my favorite ride.
Love these sort of videos. They are really helpful for new visitors and act as a check off list for the regulars. Thank you. :)
This might be the last of this type of video for awhile.
Next week will feature several “tip” style videos.
And at some point I’ll update the tours of each park, which are the “walk and talk” style.
It may take me awhile, but I have it in my mind that at some point I’d love to make a “Disneyland Planning DVD” style video since Disney stopped making those back in 2015.
That makes complete sense and this time of year is a good time to post these sort of planning videos. They'll have search 'legs' the whole year. It's a good mix for sure.
Thank you for this video!! I’m taking my son, mom and dad to DCA soon and I needed a cheat sheet lol
I've been searching what feels like FOREVER for detailed descriptions of rides so I can determine if they are ok for my autistic sister to ride. THANK YOU! 💗🇦🇺
Awesome!!
Thank you for such a comprehensive yet easy to watch video!
Very detailed video again. Great work! I just wish my body would allow me to Mission Breakout and incredicoaster as they look so fun
Thank you!
Thank you for the new vid I love dca so so much and I love the layout of the vid
ONE MORE WEEK TILL I GO!!!
@@-Lukasguedes Hope you have an awesome time! So close!
@@SoCalDisneyDad thank you keep up the great work
Nice video
I would also like to see a California Adventure food video like you did for Disneyland.
Which one? My top new foods I tried in 2023?
Awesome helpful video! Was this all done in 1 day?
This is just a bunch of footage I’ve accrued over time. Though it is possible to ride every ride in a single day at DCA. We’ve done it on a few occasions.
I never knew the swinging gondolas on Pixar Pal Around had barf bags. Then again, I don’t ride it very often because to me it’s not worth the wait it often has.
I was wondering if you could do a video on the best spots to get away from large crowds. My wife and I love going to Disneyland, but sometimes the crowds can be overwhelming and can induce anxiety for her. I know of one spot to go to by Harbour Galley but that is the only one.
I found this video super helpful! Concise, split by area, and tells me all i need to know (our party of 4 are both old and tall enough to ride everything, but I'm a baby and several are a hard No for me)
Mickey’s Death Wheel? 🤣
@@SoCalDisneyDad I think my heart stopped beating just seeing those gondolas swing. I do like the idea of the stationary ones!!
As a solo traveller going in February, can you get the buddy pass for 1? Obviously i want to do the ride, but waiting in that line would be too much!
I'm going in March for the first time and these videos have been so helpful! Would you want to do a merch tour for Disneyland and DCA like you did in 2023?
I think a merch guide is on my itinerary for next week. So should be out shortly!
I dug it
Thank you!
I was wondering if the swings or Zypher make you dizzy? I’ve been afraid to try these rides because I hate getting dizzy. ♥️ your channel
Thank you Jen
I do find swings to be a bit dizzying, so I usually skip them or have to focus on a single point as I swing to lessen the sensation.
But the Golden Zephyr has never given me any issues.
Seaworld San Diego is destroying its wave entrance to put up some generic wooden one.
Thanks for the nice video, and I have a question, with my 7 years old, do you think we can hit those rides in one day?
I have a 9 and 6 year old. Here’s our strategy for achieving just that:
Can We Ride EVERY RIDE at Disney California Adventure in ONE DAY!?
ua-cam.com/video/pzllWaqOMpA/v-deo.html
WDW really needs more single rider lines like DL resort has
what do you recommend to rope drop at DCA if our 4 and 7 years old can't do Guardians of the Galaxy or incredicoaster? TIA!
Toy Story is what we always go to first. Even over both of those.
Spider-Man usually falls around 3rd in line for us as we usually do Incredicoaster after Toy Story.
But Spider-Man and Soarin’ are also good considerations.
A lot of walking to hit all of them, but this is what I would say:
Toy Story, Spider-Man, Soarin’, in that order.
Unless you’re going in March-April, because Soarin’ will be Soarin’ Over California for a limited time, and that jacks up the wait times. We often have to rope drop Soarin’ if we want to ride it during that season.
But Toy Story and Spider-Man both have 45 minute wait times later in the day, and you can ride them 5-10 minutes if you do them first thing.
Soarin’ usually maxes at around 30. But it’s a long 30 because the line doesn’t move fast.
notes taken, thank you so much for the detail explanation! @@SoCalDisneyDad
The promo code isn't working
I prefer rise. RSR is great but Rise is exceptional.
Have you done any videos which just address the motion sickness/ nausea factors? I know it is probably hard because everyone is different. For me rides like dumbo or one fish two fish at universal Orlando are a pleasure as long as the rides are high catching a breeze and not going up and down. On the other hand the small week base spin of the tea cups do me in or the screens and motion of star tours is also a problem.. the all time worse for me is the Harry Potter Hogwarts ride where the combination of screens and the system that hurtles you even makes me sick with my eyes close. I would like to know if some of the milder rides at Pixar pier would be ok to ride in advance but I guess I’ll just have to ride and find out. I did guardians cause I love tower of terror but it did me in and I appreciated you pointing why this probably is in your video. Kudos!
I have not done a motion sickness specific video. But the video from a few weeks ago about the “worst rides” are the worst mostly because of sickness reasons. So that would be a good one to watch.
Thank you. That’s a great idea. I’ve been trying to catch up on your older videos since I just started watching the channel
I really hope they can add seat belt for Mickey Fun wheel…
I doubt that happens.
I am going to Disney world in 5 days, I’m excited to see the differences between Disney world and Disney land
Nice! Is that your first visit to WDW?
@@SoCalDisneyDad Yup 3 days away
@@bentleyreade9971 Be sure to ride Cosmic Rewind. It’s my #1 Disney ride of any US park. Haven’t been overseas so can’t speak to those.
@@SoCalDisneyDad I was planning on it because it looks awesome
@@SoCalDisneyDad you were correct
Yea spider man ride not my favorite ride there. Great for Spider man fans, but ride is eh. Could have been better. My opinion. and haha "MICKEYS DEATH WHEEL" LO L
Thanks for sharing this video ! Very helpful tips. :)
Yeah, I know a lot of people who don’t like it. So you aren’t alone. I actually miss A Bug’s Land.
rise of the resistance
I love you traver.. trivor?? Trevor??? Idk ur name but I love you fonem gang🙏
You had it right the first time. Traver!
It’s a weird one, I know. My parents couldn’t make up their minds between Travis and Trever, so they combined them. 🤣
Thanks for watching!
@@SoCalDisneyDad gotchu, I always get confused because you say it differently in some videos, but regardless, it’s all love💯
@SoCalDisneyDad I like your name! That's an interesting story on it
