Try swapping some cadmium out for zinc and season with a bit of indium. It will ceate delocalized electrons that could allow these to be used for a lot of interesting applications.❤
The absorption range it is around 400nm and it doesn't vary to much. However, the emission spectra has a wide range depending on the time that the synthesis is conected to the condenser and the refluxed. You can find more information about the characterization of the CdTe QDs on the following conference given by one of our students. www.spiedigitallibrary.org/conference-proceedings-of-spie/10929/109290N/Tailoring-and-controlling-fermionic-properties-in-heterogenous-quantum-dot-colloidal/10.1117/12.2510973.full?sessionGUID=b107aa8e-6b03-24e0-3964-275c9d2601d2&webSyncID=c84be48d-0a77-d2b9-8b6e-9dcc23514693&sessionGUID=6017581c-0207-37c1-7a6c-a2189b4d6340&_ga=2.56919402.1500455779.1566512229-579254541.1558455166&SSO=1 Also, we add some references of our works with CdTe on the video description.
Sorry for the late response. It is called 'One pot method'. We take the method from the following article: Wu S, Dou J, Zhang J, Zhang S (2012) A simple and economical one-pot method to synthesize high-quality water soluble CdTe QDs Journal of Materials Chemistry 22 doi:10.1039/c2jm31409f Also, we add some references of our works with CdTe on the video description.

what is the molar concentration of the prepared CdTe QDs ?
WHAT IS THE RANGE OF ABSORBTION THE QDS can be tuned? and how you wash the and purify?
