If only you knew how long i have been searching for this 😅. Thank you so much, really helped me know the difference and which to use and when to use them.👍
the overshoot to create a small bounce is a brilliant effect, thanks for such a concise explanation, im new to motion and this really helped me to get my head around the graphs
This was such a helpful video because whenever I watched an AE tutorial that required the graph editor it never explained whether to use the speed or value graph. One question though, if you arent animating a graphic and instead a video, would there be handles, because there isnt any actual cardinal movement of the clip? (After writing this I realized im talking about time remapping.. :P)
P MI, Adjusting the Bezier/influence handles changes the degree of the motion or velocity. Moving an influence handle away from a keyframe will shape a path with a more gradual incline and therefore a gentler slow in / slow out. The 70% is just a number that I like to use which means you can go higher or lower depending the motion you are after. Hope that helps and thank you for your feedback! 😀👋
How do you select which curve to animate? Hello,Elias, I have a question, depending on what you select the curve that you animate, since sometimes you use the "value" or sometimes you use the "speed", with what criteria do you know which one to move? Thank you very much. :)
Maria, the most used one is the Speed Graph because it's related to speed but if you want to change Position values for example then switch to the Value graph because you are charging values rather than speed. Does this make sense? 👋

1 minute motion path is going to be very slow, also at the distance between those individual paths, most likely quite a bit and that makes it slow. Hope this helps. 😀 👋

Speed Graph measures speed or velocity over time and you can change the speed of animation between keyframes using its Speed Graph as I demonstrate in the first part.
