    Hello Melissa, I want to ask u that I am deciding between 2 facial oils for my skin the Premium 20% Vitamin C Serum For Face with Hyaluronic Acid, Retinol & Amino Acids or the PURA D'OR 4 Oz ORGANIC Rosehip Seed Oil and idk which one to pick. I had a lot of acne growing up and then I started using clindamycin topical phosphate solution and it cleared up my acne and most of my hyperpigmentation but I still have a lot of hyperpigmentation left on my cheek and forehead and chin so I’m not sure which oil I should use and I also use a nicinamide serum and a dove moisturizing cream so can u tell me which would be better for me to use considering everything I already use. Thank you.

      Generally, you do not need any treatments for this condition. By simply waiting, the skin will heal on its own. However, you could try a low-strength retinol product, which is likely to show the best effect and may help speed up the process. Something like Good Molecules Gentle Retinol Cream with 0.1%, which you can use 2-3 times a week in your evening skincare routine, might be beneficial. Alternatively, you could consider the Ordinary Ascorbyl Glucoside Solution (a vitamin C derivative but water-based).
      But overall, I would recommend staying away from oils, as they are likely to increase acne, especially in the oilier areas - at least, that has been my experience. Similar to the vitamin C product I showed in this video, it's not good for acne-prone skin.

    Can i use like this : morning and evening
    (cleansing oil, face wash, face lotion or toner, the ordinary hyaluronic acid, that ordinary vitamin F you mentioned, moisturizer, and then sunscreen

      You do not need to double cleanse in the AM. The rest of the routine looks good; just note that 'face lotion' is not a moisturizer :)

    Hi Melissa I just finished using this up and not sure if I should re purchase or try some of their other vitamin c products. If you had to pick one which do you think is the most effective. I want to try their pure vitamin c but not sure if my skin will tolerate it as I’ve tried 2 other ones before and I couldn’t. Thanks in advance sorry for the long comment haha

      What are your skin concerns?
      What other skincare products are you currently using?
      They also offer another Vitamin C derivative, Ascorbyl Glucoside Solution, which is a water-based serum.

    I have a doubt is benzophenone-3 ingredient in the sunscreen is safe to use?

    • @MelissaVanDijkOfficial
      @MelissaVanDijkOfficial  4 місяці тому

      Benzophenone-3, also known as oxybenzone, is a common ingredient in many sunscreens due to its effectiveness in absorbing UVB and short UVA rays, protecting the skin from sun damage. However, its safety has been a topic of debate.
      The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has considered oxybenzone as a generally recognized as safe and effective ingredient for sunscreen use, but it has also called for more research to further evaluate its safety profile due to concerns about potential hormonal effects and coral reef safety. Studies have suggested that oxybenzone can be absorbed through the skin and may have estrogenic effects in laboratory experiments, raising questions about its potential impact on human health and the environment.
      In addition to human health concerns, oxybenzone has been linked to coral bleaching and damage to marine ecosystems. As a result, some regions with coral reefs, such as Hawaii and Palau, have banned sunscreens containing oxybenzone to protect their marine environments.

    • @MelissaVanDijkOfficial

      As explained in the video, I don't think it's a good idea, especially for oilier, acne-prone areas. I would recommend using Ascorbyl Glucoside or the vitamin C powder mixed with hyaluronic acid instead.

      Hello 😃
      Well, yes, I mean we do get older, so aging is unstoppable, haha. However, I can set up a routine with the products you have, which you can try and see if it improves your condition.
      AM:
      Clean your face with your favorite cleanser.
      Pat dry.
      Apply Jumiso VCP 1.0 firming serum.
      Apply sunscreen if you have prolonged sun exposure.
      PM:
      Clean your face with a non-exfoliating acid cleanser.
      Pat dry.
      Apply The Ordinary Argireline solution.
      Wait a minute or two.
      Apply Matrixyl.
      PM 2:
      Clean your face with your favorite cleanser.
      Pat dry.
      Apply Bakuchiol (in case you also want to include that one).
      So, you can essentially alternate the evening routines. Otherwise, just follow the other morning and evening routine.

    Hello Melissa I would like to ask you can I use the ordinary niacinamide, azelaic acid and mandelic acid at the same time bc I need to finally get rid of these red marks I literally have them for 1 year and they are still here I use niacinamide since the summer and mandelic for 1-2 weeks and I haven't started w azelaic

    • @MelissaVanDijkOfficial
      @MelissaVanDijkOfficial  5 місяців тому +3

      The products won't help with these marks if they have been present for a long time, as they are in the deeper layers of the skin. You either need to wait longer for the skin to heal on its own, or you may need laser treatment. Laser treatment penetrates the deeper layers of the skin and can show significant results.

    • @user-tc5gd6db3c
      @user-tc5gd6db3c 4 місяці тому +1

      @MelissaVanDijkOfficial I am too young for laser treatment I am 16 years but also its not that affordable for me if you understand:) The marks are getting better and better niacinamide helped me a lot but please I'd like to know if I can combine niacinamide with mandelic and azelaic acid

    • @MelissaVanDijkOfficial
      @MelissaVanDijkOfficial  4 місяці тому +1

      @@user-tc5gd6db3c You can use Niacinamide with Azelaic Acid in the same routine, as well as Mandelic Acid with Niacinamide. However, combining Mandelic Acid with Azelaic Acid can be too potent depending on your skin tolerance. So, you could use one combination in the AM and the other in the PM.

      @user-tc5gd6db3c 4 місяці тому +1

      @MelissaVanDijkOfficial I use mandelic acid once a week so
      I am still at the begging of using mandelic acid for how long should I use it once a week?

    • @MelissaVanDijkOfficial
      @MelissaVanDijkOfficial  4 місяці тому +1

      @@user-tc5gd6db3c You can use Mandelic Acid daily if tolerated by your skin. Generally speaking, Mandelic Acid is a gentle exfoliant. However, you can now increase its use to 3-4 times per week, or every other day, before transitioning to daily use. Always try a specific frequency for about two weeks before making any changes. The same applies to Azelaic Acid :)

    Is it oil like or dry Matt ?

    • @MelissaVanDijkOfficial
      @MelissaVanDijkOfficial  2 місяці тому

      It's an oil, but surprisingly it doesn't feel heavy or excessively 'oily' like some oils can feel on the skin. Even as someone who typically avoids oils, I find this formulation quite agreeable.
