I did this in one attempt. My friend had warned me about the neutral ending a couple of years before my first play through, so Omega Flowey didn’t terrify as much. This allowed me to bravely stand in the face of that monstrosity.
I've actually seen a few people defeat Photoshop Flowey on their first try, blind.
(I recall needing two tries, myself.)
I was happy to fight the demon flower. I don't think anyone else was NOT surprised and also like WOW I'M FINALLY FIGHTING HIM!!!!!

Undertale was such an amazing game, I beat the pacifist route a few years ago and it was so fun, I wish I could replay UnderTale without any memory of what happened in the Game.
I was playing my first playthrough of Undertale a while ago, and I already knew the Omega Flowey fight existed, so for the whole time I played, I was scared of the fight happening, and when it finally happened, I beat it first try. Yeah, that was unexpected 😅

Patrick Collins he does it out of respect, but that could easily be misinterpreted, especially in the first play through. But the fact that he has one for each person that falls down and the soul color is weird, especially since he shows it before he even meets the kid, like he watched the battles and knows that a kid with a certain name and a certain soul color comes down and is heading his way.

21:25 I played this part on Switch, so I wasn't able to experience the game purposely closing down. But holy crap, the amount of thought and immersion that is put into the pc part of this game seems absolutely insane
Hey, I know this is an old comment, but what does the Switch port do with the shut down? Does it just reset? Because I suspect that a Switch game can’t close itself, although I do think that a game could force itself to crash.
@@spectralbut what the switch version does is it fades to the white screen when Flowey laughs, and stays there for a few seconds. Then it simply cuts to the "corrupted" starting screen without any closing down or crashing.
And when you die to Omega Flowey and the laughing invades your screen, the game purposely acts like it is glitching out, with a purposeful glitched screen and corrupted sound that sounds similar to "they all disappeared without a trace" intro. The game then cuts off to black for a moment, before resuming Flowey's dialogue about killing you only one time or something similar to it.
I would say that Toby Fox did the best he could when making it, and it does feel really well made too. When I initially played the game for the first time on Switch, I didn't even know the game purposely closed on PC in these moments, but they were still very well done.
To summarize your question, no. The game doesn't crash itself, but rather it gives the illusion that it *is* crashing while still working properly.

@@spectralbut Other than the Mew Mew boss fight, I'm not sure if there is anything else added to it. It's up to you if you want to get it, but here's my take on it:
I believe that joystick control makes some of the fights more difficult, such as Undyne with the green heart (genocide battle with her really was a challenge with the joystick), however it can also make some fights easier (when red).
Also you can't access the game's files like you can on PC (obviously), so there's something else to think about.
I don't know if borders were a thing on the PC version, but they have those on the Switch version, and the "Dynamic" option is really cool, as it changes from location to location automatically.
Everything on the PC version is on the Switch version, and nothing is left out.
Undertale is a great game regardless of what you play it on, but what you play it on is up to you. Hope this helped

this is probably the hardest boss to do a no hit run on.
Yep - people would assume it's Sans but he's just the most difficult to beat, but once you get his attacks down, they're not actually that bad. Flowey on the other hand is fairly simple to beat, but you're bound to get hit unless you get a LOT of practice. (which you won't since you'll probably have beaten him before that's possible)

The coffin detail will always be one of my favorite parts of the undertale map.
