I taught Dexter in Years 7 and 8, watched his love of music blossom every year after with him popping into my room with new suggestions etc… and Fontaines were the first of them that I’d never heard and really vibed with. So to see this, is mind blowing. Dexter adores the band and absolutely smashed it on stage

Dexter has a smile that would light up Wembley stadium - what a lovely chap - the boy's from the better land - the band really try to make Dexter relax into the performance - the base player is lost in his own world oblivious the the Dexter - Moments like this really make great memories.
No words for how much I love this!!! SO much joy on that stage, such lovely lads to welcome Dexter so warmly- absolutely *brilliant*!!!🌟

Amazing. Dexter is the year above my lad in school and in his own band. Maybe they could support the Fontaines?! What an amazing thing to do and such confidence for a boy so young. Fair play to the Fontaines, they really welcomed him in and looked like they were enjoying it as much as he was. A forever memory for him I’m sure. Brilliant.
I kept seeing his sign on the big screen when I was in the crowd, when he came on stage I was so happy for him, must’ve been a dream come true. Massive respect to fontaines
Yeah I got one video of them playing and when I looked at it back they had his sign saying “Can I play guitar on boys in the betterland” with a cute smiley face

Honestly I don't really mind that. They're at the point where they're getting great exposure but they aren't getting a lot of mainstream attention
From what I've personally seen in the past, many rock bands are often their most raw and creative at this point in their career and it leads to music that feels way more passionate than what's usually circulating on the charts
