They're a mix of Indie and Shoegaze. I can see they're Placebo fans but they're HEAVILY influenced by late 80s and early 90s shoegaze, along with early 2000s Post-Punk and Indie. @@James-nz8hp
the lyricism on this track is insane. I know they're all poetry geeks...nabokov wrote lolita. are these lyrics from the perspective of humbert ? fucking genius this goes so hard

Carlos’ guitar work is incredible, adds so much depth to the sound
Some good ole shoegaze influences
Very very clever guitar work on this. They’ve almost created their own wall of sound, synonymous to them.
Without a doubt heavily inspired by My Blood Valentine.
Yeah, if all their songs sounded like this they would be considered a shoegaze band
Listen to Placebo. Shoegaze doesn’t quite fit.

One of the best sets if I’ve ever experienced. This band can only go up
The bass line on that track is bad ass - This sounds epic - Fontaines DC are delivering something very special - A truly great band.
The best band in the world

I completely agree, even though I disagree.

joy division in modern era
Except they don't sound anything like Joy Division
The first and second record do, they departed from that sound on this album
@@lucasrowe1100 they really don't though. Maybe a few songs have similarities. But I would never associate them with Joy Division or post-punk

the bass guitar is very clearly visible throughout the video
