Royal Alden Hickman become chief designer of Haeger Potteries in 1934 - thus the Royal Haeger connotation. Stayed there for six years and continued off-site work. He designed many of the Heisey glass animals. A terrific, innovative designer.

My former Mother-in-Law was friends with P. Buckley Moss (Pat), she was also an avid collector of her work. She even had commissioned like 4 different prints, which were absolutely stunning, but very specifictoo my M-i-L. Sadly, within weeks of my M-i-L's passing, there was a terrible fire at her home, & almost all of her collectiion was lost. I cried & cried, as I knew the value (sentimental & monetary) that was loss. The fire was ruled accidental, but my former husband believed it was a disgruntled family member, who was conveniently staying there & was not happy with the fact he was left out of the will. Anyway, I believe 50 or 60 pieces of P. Buckley Moss's art were lost that day. Such a sad shame, I still mourn the loss (of my M-i-L) & the art, to this day. 😭

Thank you! I saw an Alrose Lava Glaze bowl with a cat and a dog on it with the crazy eyes at an antique show a month ago. I didn’t buy it because the vendor hadn’t opened yet (I got there really early) and it’s been haunting me ever since because it was just marked “Italy” and I couldn’t identify it.
When I was there last, I found some great deals. The guys at the front desk said I would make a great personal shopper. That would be my dream job !!!

I see that beautiful pendant on your neck. I have a gorgeous ring like that but smaller set in sterling silver. I tried for the auction piece you had up but it went too high for me. I was sad. That’s so strange for me since I’m Portuguese and visiting Portuguese ceramics artisans since I was born.
That ceramic pieces are copies of XVII Century ceramics and are hand painted.
I would be so afraid to have a small child around all those breakables! 😬
Her kids have grown up around them and were taught not to touch if they wanted to go with her. Even at home they were taught to be careful. Hopefully the kid in the shop is being trained the same way.
