Why doesn’t the judge get someone to go and tell the people outside the courtroom to be quiet? The noise is so loud!

Yes. I've never known a judge during a trial, to not demand silence even outside the doors of his courtroom.

Much noise from outside the court room... I am surprised this is not being addressed by the judge... it has to be distracting to the jury... as it is for me @9:19 ridiculous that noise is being ignored by court staff

I find it extremely disturbing the amount of parents disposing their children as if their life was meaningless. I just can't imagine strangling my 5 year old child. It physically sickens me. How can their actions be defended?

@@twig265 I know this girl personally. And she is a liar. She killed her child. Simple as that. A 5 year old would not kill them self on purpose, it's just absurd

    • @twig265

I wasn’t saying that Cloe did that. She asked how can her actions be defended. When Kelsie called 911 she said her daughter hung her self in the closet. Her lawyers are going to use that and say the police coursed her into saying that confession. I live in Ottumwa and I’m 120% sure she murdered her daughter. I would of taken Cloe into my home and loved her. I don’t know them but the stories I heard about Cloe was she was a sweet, fun loving kid.

Andrea Turnquist - I have postpartum depression right now. I have 3 kids and my youngest is 4 months. Using postpartum depression as a defense is the dumbest thing ever because it’s rare that a mother will kill her child with that, usually it’s the other way around, the mother kills herself. Now postpartum psychosis is a totally different thing and could be used, but it’s very clear the girl on trial doesn’t have that. She killed her daughter and is trying to make up a defense.

Some ppl should never become parents... when I was about 6 or 7 yrs old... a woman around the corner and up the street from us drowned her four small children in their bathtub and laid them out on her bed... her husband came home and found them there and called the police. The reason I know and remember this incident is bc my mother, I use the term loosely, told my sister and me about it... she also said she could do the same to us any time she wanted to so we better mind our p's and q's!! My little mind was terrified!! I was the oldest of 5 w alcoholic parents and did all the parenting while maintaining A's and B's....this was the fifties!!!

This prosecutor made me think how sad (for Chloe) that the mother needed help and seems no-one in her family or friends set up counselling or extra babysitting. The parents who kill their kids shocks and disgusts me I don't understand it. So if I thought this it seems the prosecutor didn't do a great opening.
