I hate to be a stickler here; but Petrova? For a male actually hailing from Russia?? For a male it would be "Petrov" then conjugated to the feminine it would ONLY THEN be "Petrova". This problem was also present in the previous book of this series.
Also is there such a big cliffhanger because there are more books coming?
This isn’t a fairytale as I know they would have been dead long ago in reality. The woman is too ignorant the way her thoughts are portrayed considering she is a Fed. Agent. 🤔😒🙄women are not that stupid!

Agreed, most women aren't stupid. In my opinion , many just lack confidence . As for the FBI in 2023... they're just F_ing 🤡 clowns. Government's spineless puppets, weaponized against "free commerce capitalists " labeled criminal bc the gov't doesn't get a "cut" of profits. The feds ARE bigger criminals than most of their targets... they're just drones wearing fugly shoes and cheap clothes.
But I do appreciate these types of audio books. Despite my inability to embrace the inconsistencies and incredulous depictions.
I like it when a secondary character is brought to the forefront as a main character in a later book. It ties previous stories neatly to the ‘current’ time of the novel series.

Female narrator sounds like a male

She’s so obvious I can see it
I am so disappointed in this book. I love Willow Fox writing. She is talented for sure and it shows in book 1-3 but fell real short in the last one. Started out OK , other than the FBI woman not too bright, but as soon as Anton gave himself up to warn her she was being hunted, we'll that did it for me. What ,he could think of another way. Story just stupid, unrealistic and not worth listening too. Glad she didn't write this as the first book because I wouldn't have listened to the rest of the series and that would have been a shame because they were good. Sorry.
I'm like why he turned himself in they have nothing on him he could have just got to her himself and warned her.

This is how I feel about most romance books now, about the same 2 personality types for the females. I find most of the males cringe & mostly the same 😔 idk it just feels to me it just needs more variety. What appeals to some women doesn't do the same for others. There is no judgment on those who enjoy. it's all just too repetitive for my liking
Exactly, I kept wanting to just skip to the end to find out they were all back with the Bratva! I have loved every book till this one....
I liked book 1 and 2. Book 3 I stopped 1.5hr in because I am having a hard time with the female character. This 1, all the comments pointing out what I feel about book 3, makes me not want to finish this 1. Ugh.
