Growing a beard was so out of my comfort zone and I committed to the yeard, which was the best thing I could have done; otherwise I would have shaved it off at every awkward phase. Although we have never met Dan your beard advice has literally changed my life, because you have been my main source of beard knowledge throughout my bearded journey. I don't think about shaving I don't like it. Hey Dan I haven't mentioned it before but thanks for keeping a clean language channel.

Wow! Congrats to the Mayor for making such a remarkable transformation. When I first started watching your videos I appreciated the information about quality products, tools and routines for proper beard care and I really liked the positive vibes but I was a little skeptical about the whole life and health transformation. Now I'm making sure I hydrate properly, found some good quality fish oil to take, have upped all my vitamin intake, started going to bed early, and have just decided to start up a daily walking/biking regimen. Thanks to you and the Mayor for all the inspiration!
Great video Dan! You were absolutely right, that final tip did not disappoint!!! That can be such a huge motivator and source of encouragement to stay the course no matter how you’re feeling in the moment. Wow! The picture of the Mayor without a beard is night and day to what he is now…a beard model 😂. I’m sure many others can relate when they look back to their pre-beard days as well.
This was a great video Dan! It is important for people to know that your tips in this video can be used all throughout life, and not only with one's beard. Again, great advice!
Awesome video and I have experienced all 3 items. Glad the Mayor was a good sport on the before and after photos. I see pictures of myself without a beard and I did not like the person I was. The beard has changed me in sooooooo many ways. I did think about shaving but the support I received from the community gave me the confidence to push through the phase I was going through. Item #3 has hit me the most when I see a picture of what I looked like before a beard I don't recognize myself. That was an unhappy, lack of confidence person.

In almost a year of growing my beard, I have had many “bad” days where the products I used were too heavy or not enough. I have made it through many phases and haven’t cut it yet although I have had it trimmed once at 4 month stage. Now I just let it grow watching and learning from many people like your videos. I have lost over 65 lbs during this time also so I have a change in my diet and have made sure I drink plenty of water during the day
8 plus years of absolutely no trimming here. None. He’s now at my belly button and our next goal is belt buckle. My beard has definitely developed his own personality and I rather enjoy his company. It was well worth getting through the bad days that you speak of without pulling out the scissors and making a decision that I would have regretted. To say he gets more attention from others than I do would be an understatement. Keep growing brothers.
Great video Dan and it comes at a perfect time. I have considered shaving it off a few times over the last couple weeks due to different reasons from awkward phases to stresses in my life. I talk myself out of it by telling myself why I decided to grow my beard and the regret I would have if I shave and I just power through.
I always remember that this too shall pass. Anytime I feel like my beard just won't style the way I want, I just walk away. I don't want to do anything drastic and regret it. I'll look through your videos for a solution if possible. If it's something that seems to continue to happen then I will send in to Beard Advice Live. But as I've learned from this channel and this community, the best thing for me to do is walk away and try again tomorrow.
I think a lot of people need to see this. I never got to the point where I WANTED to shave, but I was worried I would have to go to stubble after severely burning my beard. Luckily I was able to save it, but I lost a TON of hair.
@@DanCBearded Yeah I have mentioned it before but gas tank vapors + spark = fireball in the face. Just absolute stomach drop after I felt it, and saw what it did.
Thanks for the words of incuragement teacher! Just this week I was saying how unhappy I was with with my bread growth. I was growing out the side and doing a reset on my cheek lines. I stopped in at Men's Barber Shop in Philly and got a great beard trim by my barber Tim. I am extremely satisfied with my beard style now and I even found some awesome new combs for my beard which are changing the game for me. Thank you again and keep those videos comes!
I have always stuck by these words: we DON’T EVER make decisions when we are intoxicated or when we are emotional. Been there a ton of times but love my beard and the journey.
THIS! All of this is! That tip 3 though!!! Good video Dan (and thanks Mayor for volunteering the before bearded and after photos). Stay bearded and positive people!!!
I cut half my beard off. It was pretty long. The split ends were everywhere and not all hairs were the same length. Thoughts of starting over crossed my mind, but I remembered your words.
Beards rock! I think what you are referring to is equivalent to what we over here call the 'norman' phase when growing your hair long - it gets to that stage where it's not long or short and you can't do a anything with it. It takes resolve and patience to push through that stage.
1) I love my barber and a professional trim always makes things feel better. 2) James from Beards and Cars has the best video on this subject. He says always wait a month before making major changes.
@@DanCBearded It was more about head space/pep talk than actual techniques. Both are good to have and there is certainly enough room for multiple approaches.
Great video ! I knew form the start a long beard is what I wanted. Sending in to beard advice live was a game changer for me. Did the transparency trim after hitting the yeard what an amazing difference. I love the advice of small maintenance trims along the away! Nothing better than keeping the beard looking good on it journey! Thanks for all that you do! You are truly amazing !
On a bad beard day I use to watch some of your old videos and it got me through that rough day. I love my long beard now and I can’t imagine wanting to cut it.
I have hit rock bottom before but I have always remember led what I looked like without a beard. I am going today to have a trim just to get the fly aways. Will never get rid of the beard though. Stay bearded brothers.

Commands Corner is a great place to get up again with all those awesome Beardos when a Bad Day arises. Switch up one or two Things, don't look too often in the mirror and try to fix Something that's Not fixable at the Moment. It's Part of the Journey
For your consideration for worst beard care mistake of all time: In approx. 2009 (on vacation) as it got dry, bad waves etc. unkempt and getting toward a long length, and not knowing of any beard care product. I could only think of trying - hair relaxer (as in the stuff black women use ) to make it straight! Shaved it off upon returning home and just kept a beardstach-short goatee for 7 yrs. afterwards.
Thanks for the video. Good timing too as I woke up this morning with my beard feeling dry and wiry. Its days like this that I feel like shaving and feeling "clean" on my face. In the past I have shaved it on off days and usually regretted it. I don't dislike my face clean shaven. But after seeing this video, I quickly put that thought aside. videos like yours and other have helped me get through the struggle with keeping vs shaving. I don't always like how my beard looks but I'm determined with get to a years growth. Thanks for the great videos.
I’ve had those bad beard days Dan , but I tell myself I have a goal .my beards at 6 inch now , but I’m going for 10 inch ,and yes look at a photo of before you grew your beard I can’t imagine not having one . And when you have a teacher as good as you giving people great advice it goes a long way thanks Dan 👍
Screwed up my cheek line and really debated shaving. Your set your goal day for your beard popped in my head and I decided not to. So happy I didn't 2 weeks later cheek line looks good and still pushing for the goal.
For the entire Year growing Mr.Beardo Daily I was like I should shave it, it's terrible but then I actually started to take those steps to managing it better. If I was to say the One thing that changed EVERYTHING about my Beard was the Hair drier! My curly (bad combing) and wavy (natural) became more straight and the thin hairs and the thick and wiry grays started to sit together. I had always use oils but some how with the blow drier, it has become a lot smother as well, must be the cold air and brush. And speaking of, the ROUND Brush. OMG I have a block boar brush, yeah no. Round Baby! Now my Yeard is now on it's way to find Terminality
I had the rock bottom happen bud. I didn't shave it but trimmed it down super short n hated it n I've been growin it back since Oct . N hopin it gettes better n better
I have hit beard rock bottom and my issue is I have had a style I absolutely loved and try to get the same haircut and short goatee so I shave the beard and most times than not regret it! Haven't made it past the three months mark yet! I am currently hitting two months. Thanks for the content and encouragement DanC!
Gotta be patient till the 3 month marker. I d suggest the 4 month marker -NO trimming. Now, a wash, a blow drier and some combing always do the trick. Add to this weather conditions which ALWAYS affect how your beard styles looks and feels. Any time your beard seems to bother you, do something else which do not include mirrors.
@@paronymiusparonymius4468 Sound advice and thank you for the support. My hair is naturally pretty straight so that's not really an issue but I get what you're saying. Beard on! Cheers!
I have those moments all the time. I’m trying for a year+ growth now but have trimmed my beard probably once a month. Just a little trimming to keep it looking somewhat even to me. I’m into 6 months presently. Some days are a pain to get where I want it and some days it just falls in place. Gotta focus on the journey. I’m also bald so my beard is what I focus on instead of keeping my head hair looking good. Cheers.
Yeah I'd take one of your bad beard days any day cause I have those days where my beard is spot on and then some days its like 😫😫 but I just rock with it and say we'll it's probably just one of those phases or just not enough H20 but regardless of my bad beard days I'm not shaving it off. I've always thanked you for all the help you have helped me and other beardsmen and I can't thank you enough so thank you once again Dan C Bearded 🙏 Stay Bearded and Stay Positive like you always say
Wow! Yea, the Mayor looks sooooo much better with his glorious beard! 💯💯💯 I have never hit “rock bottom” with my beard. But I will say that a touch up trim really helps with my confidence. I’ll grow to about 12 inches, and then it starts to get a bit unruly at the bottom. So I just trim back only 1-2 inches off the bottom and it feels, styles and looks soooooo much better to me with that little trim!! I recommend that anyone who wants to know how to do a light transparency trim on their own, is to look up your beard trim videos! They helped me immensely!! 💯 Great video Dan! The beard looks great today! 👊🤘
I went to a barber. I asked for help. They gave me terrible advice and then set back my beard journey by almost a year because not only did they chop off a ton of progress I left thinking I couldn't grow hair from my neck like or it would ruin my beard. It wasn't until much later that I decided to try and grow through that awkward patch that I found out if it was long enough I could get it straight with daily heat.......
About a year into first beard, when If I'm thinking about shaving use the rule wait a day for each month I've been growing it before doing anything, keep up the great work Dan, love the videos and info
Another excellent video brotha. I was feeling rock bottom for the past week or so and tip #3 was absolutely perfect. I'm in for the long haul. Never want to go back to a shaved look. 💪🍻
Hey Dan great video! My brother Phil was eating Laffy taffy in bed and fell asleep and roll over onto the taffy, he jus shaved his whole beard and it was long
Currently feeling that way in terms of trimming it a bit shorter. My beard is about 5 to 6 inches, and I always struggle with the ends of my hairs. Have really curly hair so you can imagine. The part from nourishing within the body seems like what I need to work on most that I think will help me bounce back (hydration, exercise, multi vitamin, ect)
At 17 I grew a beard. My beard at 17 was just as full as it is now in my 50’s. I shaved once on my 21st birthday and once when I was 23 and that was enough. Once I cut my waist length hair I grew a beard to my waist and have kept it long for maybe 10 years now. I would like to see a picture of the Mayor looking happy and with no hat and beardless.
Waist length, that is fantastic!! The Mayor has talked about not having a lot of pictures before the beard. He was always the one taking the picture because he wasn't as confident
I'm in the ride out phase. My beard feels good, it's just at that awkward length between a short and medium beard be so gravity hasn't taken full effect yet. it'll come, though.
My first yeard, Grew for the whole entire 365 days, I thought maybe I need to trim it and start with a Jan-Jan yeard make it a New Years thing. Man how our own thoughts create such a destructive path. I know it was only a beard shaving but, in general we get inside our own heads and can ruin something amazing. I really loved my first yeard and wish I could have that one back. I’m on my second yeard and its going really really good. I’m going to leave it alone, but cant help thinking Id be well over two years and growing, if I just stuck with it the first time around. Not trying to brag but I have a nice full and thick width and density a really good all over coverage, what I lack is length, I don’t even have the pesky neck beard problem that so many beadsmen encounter, there was a minor patchiness in and around my soul patch triangle area but that too is now a full coverage area so there is a minor pro and a major con, No Patches, but No Length either, well at least not at my potential length yet. Its easy to trim/cut it all off, not so easy to grew it all back, I wish i would have realized that sooner, Stay Bearded and STAY POSITIVE!!! 🤔😉😎✌🏽
My beard isn't long and I generally keep it pretty short anyway though I trimmed to a number 4 on Sat night. There are pros and cons to this style. It looks much neater and doesn't require too much styling but the downside is that my double chin has become more apparent as I've put on weight over the last year 😢. Since I dislocated my finger a week ago, I'm not going to be out and about much (apart from work) over the next 5/6 weeks so I might try and not trim over this period and see how I like it then 😂
I feel this way now and again. My days usually start with either a few hours on the Pickleball courts running and whipping my head around as I work up a good sweat which leaves my beard looking not so great or out on a hike which and I bike a lot so my beard is in the wind and like right now we are in dry Arizona, so I know the air is sucking moisture out of my beard and a fast rate. So it's not uncommon for me to see myself and say dang, maybe my lifestyle isn't meant for a beard or at least a longer one "at 8.5" right now and shooting for 12"". But then I shower in the evening and all is good again,,, until the next day. It's a roller coast ride for me. Maybe when we get out east later this year it will be different with the humidity but then I will have something else to complain about LOL!!
I totally know what you mean. I make sure my beard is in good condition before filming or streaming, but there is sooo often where my beard is a mess lol
I have an incredibly curly beard. Tight loops in the hair. I’ve been working on straightening it out with comb and blow dryer which is helping but it is soooo curly it makes it extremely hard to trim split ends. That’s where my dilemma is. I can’t seem to get passed about 3 1/2”-4” because I can’t properly trim all the split ends. I’ve made the mistake of shaving it off before and hated it and will likely not do it again. But it gets frustrating and not motivating when my beard doesn’t seem to get any bigger.
It’s getting bigger you just have to have patience. Just try to just trim the front because most likely the under beard is very curly and just coils back up . I have the same type of beard so I feel your pain.
The curls do certainly add some challenges. Like Bobby said, if you trim the bottom, the rest of the beard should be fine. The most damage happens on the outside.
I've really been thinking about trimming my beard soon, my goal was to get it to my nipples and now that I've had it for a minute, it may be time to go short
My only concern about my beard is that it grows ridiculously low. Or at least, that's how it looks to me. I had a trim 5 months ago and I don't think that I gained a good amount of length. Maybe, I should take a picture the next time I trim it, and compare it to a future condition, so that I can erase those thoughts...
Taking weekly pictures is a great way to tell the difference! For growth make sure to focus on being healthy. Drinking enough water, eating right, being active, and try things like biotin
I had a fleeting moment like a couple weeks ago when a new guy joined my gym and gave me the biggest case of beard eny I ever had. It's one thing to see outstanding beards in pics, but another thing altogether in real life. I swear his beard is so thick it sounds like a 10' flag in the wind when he shakes his head. 😂 If I was a cartoon character I'd have thrown my hands up in the air, yelled "I give up!", and shaved. I have spoken with him a few times now and we joke about all of the dumb questions we hear all the time.
Definitely keep your beard. If you shave regret lasts at least 4 months until you get passed the awkward beard growing. You will have to fight to grow it again. Not worth it when you have one already. I have shaved countless times only to grow it back in misery. Just wait for the thought to be over and keep the beard. You will thank yourself later.
To me... there is a point when your beard is too long. A younger man with a long beard just looks weird. I associate a longer beard with a older man. This of course is just my opinion and you do what feels right for you.
Just when I start to kind of like my beard I watch your channel and see your beard and I then totally hate mine because I don't see my beard ever looking yours Dan very discouraging I know that I shouldn't compare my beards to other beards but I can't help it
I get the same way with some beards I look up to. I know I will never have that. It truly is just about embracing what you have. Finding the style and shape that best suits YOUR beard
@@DanCBearded That's what I am doing I understand it is what is the way I look at is what I have is better than no beard at all I just turned 68 and my beard really is what I will ever get ....thanks Dan
please give my some advice on rehab of beard when you have been in the hospital for of over a week (and not taking care of it). i will ask during commands corner but i wouuld appreciate some advice now.
I've been wearing beards or facial hair since I got out of the Marines 40 years ago, I can't imagine not having at the very minimum a short goatee. Right now I'm growing it out for a longer beard so of course I'm going through bad beard days. My opinion is at the end of the day it's only hair, which always seems to come back. Today is a great day to grow a beard because there is such an abundance of products to relieve dander and dry skin. Just grow it, it's part of being a man. Just a note-if you do not know how to drive a nail or change a tire, you shouldn't grow a beard.
I would first like to say thank you for your service! I am very adamant about teaching that appreciation to my students as a history teacher. I will also say I agree with much of your comment. However, other parts are just outdated and flat out ignorant on many levels. Your last sentence for example. The beauty of being in America and one of the main ideals you fought for was freedom, which is beautiful we can have the freedom to have a difference of opinions.
@@DanCBearded the beauty of America is being able to disagree and still get along. I still stand by the opinion that men should know how to drive a nail, change a tire, start a tire, and butcher an animal. In many western countries this may be dying out but for the balance of the world they understand this. We may never need to do this stuff but every year we hear of someone who died because they couldn't survive or perform basic perfunctory tasks that most could perform 100 years ago. Of course, I'm unenlightened and a dinosaur in this post modern era and that's okay with me. "Civilized" people mock us troglodytes until disasters and mayhem come, then they call us to action. When done we gey shoved in the corner until needed again. All that to say I still enjoy your channel!
I finally learned after years of getting frustrated and shaving. The bad day will pass and you will be glad you didn’t shave. It takes wayyyy longer to regrow then the bad beard day.
I think I'm at beard rock bottom. I don't really wanna cut it, but I'm not liking how it look either. But I've been growing it 2 years, so I can't get myself 2 shave it. Just be over thinking it sometimes
Hi Dan! thank you for another great video. I have a question for you. I´m now in the eighth month of my first yeard and i actually played this video becasue i think in some way i hit rock bottom. I feel the beard has reached a kind of plateau and not growing as fast as before, even though i´m eating well, hydrating and doing excercise on regular basis. Also the hair on my chin seems to have stopped growing at all for the past two/three months and it creates a disbalance between the edge of the chin and the hair right underneath that part so i´m kind of losing confidence a bit. Do you have any tip for me? thank you!
I would worry less about it and just adjust so you have the best experience at any given time with your beard. If you feel some parts are growing faster, I would trim those even. I would bet a lot of money to say you are being your own worst critic, and I bet your beard looks awesome!
I’ve never hit a low point where I considered shaving my beard off. I remember well what I looked like bare faced. I looked terrible! My advice is never remove your beard.
Once I get to about 7.5", my beard just gets transparent with any further growth. It's been that way for the last three years. Is there anything I can do, or is it 'just the way it is" for me? 🤷
I haven’t hit rock bottom as I’m currently going for a yeard. I do need a trim however and I’m terrified to do it myself. I’m 2 days away from being 10 months in and I have some decent growth. My profile picture is a couple months old now and my beard is even longer. I have the Brio Beardscape trimmer and I’ve used it to shape up my mustache a couple times, but I’m scared to go in on my beard. Any thoughts or advice would be much appreciated. Also, should I wait til my yeard to do the trim?

I have always stuck by these words: we DON’T EVER make decisions when we are intoxicated or when we are emotional. Been there a ton of times but love my beard and the journey.
I love that! It is bigger than just beards
Awesome Video Dan and some great information 👍 thanks Dan keep up the awesome videos
Thanks for watching Gabe!
THIS! All of this is! That tip 3 though!!! Good video Dan (and thanks Mayor for volunteering the before bearded and after photos). Stay bearded and positive people!!!
Thank you Jason and yes the Mayor is a trooper
I cut half my beard off. It was pretty long. The split ends were everywhere and not all hairs were the same length. Thoughts of starting over crossed my mind, but I remembered your words.
I am glad!!
WOOOOOOW MAYOR TALK ABOUT A TRANSFORMATION!
Right!?
Beards rock! I think what you are referring to is equivalent to what we over here call the 'norman' phase when growing your hair long - it gets to that stage where it's not long or short and you can't do a anything with it. It takes resolve and patience to push through that stage.
Oh interesting! I have never heard that term
1) I love my barber and a professional trim always makes things feel better.
2) James from Beards and Cars has the best video on this subject. He says always wait a month before making major changes.
Dang, I’ll try harder next time to try and live up to the best! Although, I’m pretty happy with my video
That is awesome feedback and perspective for new beardsmen. Thank you Rich!
Awesome video Dan!
Thanks for watching!
On a bad beard day I use to watch some of your old videos and it got me through that rough day. I love my long beard now and I can’t imagine wanting to cut it.
That is awesome!
I have hit rock bottom before but I have always remember led what I looked like without a beard. I am going today to have a trim just to get the fly aways. Will never get rid of the beard though. Stay bearded brothers.
Awesome Mark!
Hit rock bottom last week, my wife said “absolutely not” I needed to hear that and watch this video.
That is an awesome wife!
Appreciate you doing this video Dan! It was an awesome discussion on Beard Topics and hope the video encourages even more guys.
Thank you Andrew!
When there are good Beard days, then there has to be Bad Beard Days also. It comes down to what we make out of it and how supportive the people around us are. Commands Corner is a great place to get up again with all those awesome Beardos when a Bad Day arises. Switch up one or two Things, don't look too often in the mirror and try to fix Something that's Not fixable at the Moment. It's Part of the Journey
Great advice!!
Great video with solid advice! I’m certainly never shaving again either - just style changes as you said. Stay bearded!!
Thanks Eric!
Shaved it off upon returning home and just kept a beardstach-short goatee for 7 yrs. afterwards.
Oh noooo!!
Great video teach, love the tips
Thank you sir!
Awesome timing!!
Had good and bad beard days I never think about sharing, I do have to trim it down in the spring for field work.
I just did a small spring clean up trim yesterday, video coming on Wed!
Thank you Bill!
Screwed up my cheek line and really debated shaving. Your set your goal day for your beard popped in my head and I decided not to. So happy I didn't 2 weeks later cheek line looks good and still pushing for the goal.
That is awesome! Cheek lines bounce back really quickly
Game changers!!
Recently went from medium to short and it feels good
Heck yeah, awesome!
I had the rock bottom happen bud. I didn't shave it but trimmed it down super short n hated it n I've been growin it back since Oct . N hopin it gettes better n better
Let it grow! More knowledge makes for a better journey
It isn't getting cut again .
I did it Dan C, I sent you picture of me shaved. And your response was fast :) Martin never shave :)
hahaha truth!
Beard on!
Cheers!
Keep it going Cody!!
Cheers.
Interesting perspective with the bald and bearded, thanks for sharing!
I had a yeard plus a few months. Shaved it off in November and instant regret. Been growing it back ever since.
Sooooo many have that same regret, like instantly!
You have a legendary beard sir!
Wow! Yea, the Mayor looks sooooo much better with his glorious beard! 💯💯💯
I have never hit “rock bottom” with my beard.
Great video Dan! The beard looks great today! 👊🤘
Great advice, thank you Phil!
Make a video a Patchy beard problem...
please dan!
If you search here on youtube "beard patch dan c bearded" you will find my video for you!
I had a beard for 4 years and 1 moment of madness i shaved it of. 3 weeks later i started to grow it back. 6 months later it was the right decision!
Oh nice! Keep it going
Sounds like you are on the right track now!
About a year into first beard, when If I'm thinking about shaving use the rule wait a day for each month I've been growing it before doing anything, keep up the great work Dan, love the videos and info
That is a great rule!
Another excellent video brotha. I was feeling rock bottom for the past week or so and tip #3 was absolutely perfect. I'm in for the long haul. Never want to go back to a shaved look. 💪🍻
Awesome!!
Hey Dan great video! My brother Phil was eating Laffy taffy in bed and fell asleep and roll over onto the taffy, he jus shaved his whole beard and it was long
Nooooo!
After I hit my yeard last month I’ve decided to switch it up, going for yeard II
Let's gooo! That is awesome!
Great video bro
Thank you!!
Try it out! If you don't like it, you can grow it back out with a new found appreciation
My beard feels good, it's just at that awkward length between a short and medium beard be so gravity hasn't taken full effect yet. it'll come, though.
and it will be totally worth it!
You right on God bless
🧔♂️🤝
Always love getting the notification of a new Dan video! Notification bell gang!
I love this!! Thank you for the kind words
Hey Dan
Hey Ron!
This is a fantastic comment! I hope many read it and I want to say thank you Rich for taking the time to write it
Didn't know what I was doing the first time so it got chopped. Did research on care and a shape of what I wanted, then I went for it.
That is great Joey!
My beard isn't long and I generally keep it pretty short anyway though I trimmed to a number 4 on Sat night. There are pros and cons to this style. It looks much neater and doesn't require too much styling but the downside is that my double chin has become more apparent as I've put on weight over the last year 😢. Since I dislocated my finger a week ago, I'm not going to be out and about much (apart from work) over the next 5/6 weeks so I might try and not trim over this period and see how I like it then 😂
Let it grow!!
Dan can you post a video on the residual oil on the bottom of beard oil caps
I am not sure what you are talking about? Explain more
Some people may not no that normle or might think it a forty product
I remember the random topics livestream where this was discussed. Some great food for thought right here!
Exactly!! I love when ideas are birthed in a natural way. They turn out to be the best videos
For me, it’s usually as simple as … just wait a day. Tomorrow is a new day, let’s see how it looks then
Love that approach!
Love u from Bangladesh man 🇧🇩🇧🇩
Thanks!
I've really been thinking about trimming my beard soon, my goal was to get it to my nipples and now that I've had it for a minute, it may be time to go short
Any type of style/shape you are thinking of?
My only concern about my beard is that it grows ridiculously low. Or at least, that's how it looks to me. I had a trim 5 months ago and I don't think that I gained a good amount of length. Maybe, I should take a picture the next time I trim it, and compare it to a future condition, so that I can erase those thoughts...
Taking weekly pictures is a great way to tell the difference! For growth make sure to focus on being healthy. Drinking enough water, eating right, being active, and try things like biotin
@@DanCBearded Thanks a lot for the advice, Dan. Greetings!
*HAPPY SUNDAY BROTHERS*✊🏽
I gotta admit i do love trimming and shaping my beard differently, thats one of the reasons that i never commit to let it grow more than 6 months!😢
Variety is the spice of life!
The mayor beard is nice
Legendary!
Sounds like a good guy!
I get frustrated cause i don’t have the nice mustache to match my big beard. So I just keep the mustache short and deal with it
And it could fill in over time! Sometimes it just seems to randomly click
Great advice!
To me... there is a point when your beard is too long. A younger man with a long beard just looks weird. I associate a longer beard with a older man. This of course is just my opinion and you do what feels right for you.
Interesting!
@@DanCBearded That's what I am doing I understand it is what is the way I look at is

please give my some advice on rehab of beard when you have been in the hospital for of over a week (and not taking care of it). i will ask during commands corner but i wouuld appreciate some advice now.
Filming that video topic this week actually! Get your healthy and hydrated. That’s the most important
@@billybenson3834 I appreciate it!
I finally learned after years of getting frustrated and shaving. The bad day will pass and you will be glad you didn’t shave. It takes wayyyy longer to regrow then the bad beard day.
Well said!

I think I'm at beard rock bottom. I don't really wanna cut it, but I'm not liking how it look either. But I've been growing it 2 years, so I can't get myself 2 shave it. Just be over thinking it sometimes
Over thinking is a real thing! When it doubt, grow it out! However, a style change is not always a bad thing
@@DanCBearded I was trying 2 go big as possible, but probably need 2 switch it up some
Hi Dan! thank you for another great video.
@@DanCBearded thank you so much for your answer. You have inspired me in this epic journey! Let’s stay positive then!
WHEN IN DOUBT, GROW IT OUT.
It is as easy as that!
I’ve never hit a low point where I considered shaving my beard off. I remember well what I looked like bare faced. I looked terrible! My advice is never remove your beard.
That is great motivation!
I simply cannot watch at pics of myself without my 1 year long beard...I look like an idiot 😂
haha it is wild to go back and look
Once I get to about 7.5", my beard just gets transparent with any further growth. It's been that way for the last three years. Is there anything I can do, or is it 'just the way it is" for me? 🤷
If the under beard is not filling in over 3 years, it is probably just where your beard is at during this time.
Trim once you feel it really needs it and just go in with confidence. I have a new trim video dropping Wednesday. So maybe wait until then?
