It's my favorite album, only because it's so underrated. So many time people say "these songs are amazing and they sound like a7x but I've never heard them" hearing that makes my day every time
I think they are so low because they were added late to spotify without a marketing push. They were just there one day like two years ago. If they were on there from the start I'm sure it would be much higher
But is it though? When you compare against everything else they’ve done, I think it makes sense. I like it as well but some of the songs just sound like a compilation of riffs instead of a well thought out piece of music

Something no one mentions is Spotify didn’t come out until 2008. A lot of the “lower” ranked songs are much older predating streaming. I’d say Bat Country and Afterlife are prob more popular.

To me, Sounding the Seventh Trumpet is extremely underrated. I just love hearing the version of bands before they explode in popularity. Especially the version of the album before Synyster Gates joined the band and Zacky Vengeance did all of the guitar writing and performances. And The Rev's drum solo in "Darkness Surrounding" is unreal!

I think "Diamonds in the rough" is underated because many fans didn't know it even existed, and I don't blame them back in the days many people could mistake it just as a Live Concert and not an actual album. I met a couple of fans that didn’t know about it until they released the album again back in 2020. They thought it was a completely new album and they were in shock when they found out it was from 2008 😅
A good band: "Yup, the top 5 most popular are pretty much my favorites too." A legendary band: "Holy crap, I absolutely LOVE that song! How is it outside the top 50?!" Clearly Avenged Sevenfold fits the latter category
Exist, Sidewinder, Fiction, Save Me, and Nobody are maybe my top 5 favs they’ve made rn…..but a little piece of heaven beast and the Harlot and some others also make it hard to decide

Instead of picking one song and claiming that it’s underrated I’m gonna go ahead and say that a lot of, if not most of their songs are underrated, especially the sounding the seventh trumpet and diamonds in the rough songs but I also have to say that the song that surprised me the most with how little streams it has is strength of the world, it’s amazing

I loved 80s rock and metal as a teen in the 00s. A7X had me hooked with COE because they seemed like a good blend of Maiden, Metallica, and Pantera brought to the new age. Probably why i loved HTTK album.

I had no idea Save Me would be as high as it was, especially higher than Fiction. I fucking love that song, but I didn't even know it existed for a while, and I rarely hear anyone mention it. It's easily one of my favorites in their discography, and I've heard every song they've released many times.

I'm shocked that "Dear God" made it so far up the list. Don't get me wrong, I love the goofy novelty of that song and blast it every time I hear it but the amazing acoustic solo at the end of "Sidewinder" really makes that track stand out. I'd love for them to play it live these days but I doubt that will ever happen.
