11 minutes of musical brilliance.

He's got to do the album version and the instrumental version.

Syn and Brooks: yes
xDD
Shadows: I need a quick break
Syn: got ya covered
Fuck yes XD
This is not a song, it's a journey.
It’s a great song but if you want a musical journey, listen to Graves by Caligula’s Horse. Unfortunately Alex likely won’t ever review it because his channel sucks now.

Avenged Sevenfold: “Yes.”

That works, the answer should’ve been ‘all of them’ though
@@Plastikdoom Do u even unstand the joke?
Its just prog metal... not anything else
They got Joe Baressi, the producer who does TOOL’s album. It was absolutely the right decision.
I don't understand why there so many people hate this band. Like, really? This group has lots of talents. I even doubt the haters could play any a7x songs accurately
What I like about A7X is that they are very varied in the genre of metal. I guess people just want the band to stay put within that genre, but I feel that limits the creativity of the band or any band in that matter.
Most of the haters come from the fact that A7X became so main stream at one point and had many radio friendly hits. All the hipster-ass metal heads wanted to dislike them.
They do feel more "generic" to me too I guess, but I still love em.
@@cafrayrecxv4749 That's what makes them the best! All of their albums have a different, unique sound to hem
I'm a big A7X fan, but I don't think most people who dislike them claim they're untalented. I feel the same about Dream Theater - all super talented musicians, but when it all comes together...something just doesn't click for me.

@@zothana4600 I see what you mean but I think it's true. A7X change their style a bit every album and I think that's one of the good things about them. They're very willing to explore different styles of music and brooks brings a certain edge that kinda forms the base of the style they went for on the recent album.
Zothana Mizo yes, he’s been great for their musical progression and keeping with the Prog and ability to play so many styles.
Alex: This is the soundtrack for somebody's life...
A7X: yeah, the Universe's Life
From the big bang (the chaos at the start), through creations of Earth (these crazy guitars and drums) and beginnings of humans (when M.Shadows comes in), to present (or even future).
Yep
@@cylian8422 Yep.. It's crazy how they tidied up all of this. Somehow for me there's one more nuance at the very end when there's that everlasting note ringing that for me in some part sounds like trumpet wich gives me vibes from the seven trumpets of apocalypse which herald the end of the world. It can be just a note but it's mine interpretation :P
@@vertigg0413 That would completely contracdict the rest of the song. God didn't create earth but his angels still sound the trumpet? Yeah...ok, sure.
@@pla6ue Yeah, I said it in a wrong way. When I've listened to this song for the first time and that lasting note came in I just had and idea in the whole context of the song: creation of the universe and stuff. It was like "Hmm that sounds like trumpets that angels blow in the interpretation of the begining of the end of the world in the bible... but it's probably not... but it sounds fun to me". Just a misunderstanding :P

Jimmy left a beautiful gift to his brothers: He opened them to the soul, to the deeper understanding of existence and spirituality. FINALLY SOME A7X
This is by far my favorite song by Avenged Sevenfold. Not only for being their most progressive songs to date, but also for the Neil deGrasse Tyson speech at the end. I really enjoyed the part where he tried to put the universe into scale, as well as (and probably more importantly) his comments about the human ego. I agree with what Neil is getting at with this. A lot of societal problems stem from someone thinking that they are better than another. Whether it's because of wealth, race, religion, nationality, gender, and so on. However, I have come to realize that all the things I just mentioned are all human constructs. They are all things that help give something that is vital to being human. An identity, or sense a of belonging. I think as more people realize this and start to understand and accept those around them who identify themselves differently instead of using them to pass judgement or for discrimination, then the more we can start to tap into our true potential as a species and get ever closer to Neil's idea of the Cosmic Perspective.
Notable! 👌

That sounds fucking sweet man, I’m going to have to try that. I love listening to proggy and/or atmospheric stuff while I chill out and play, and this + Skyrim sounds like a perfect combination.
The album was groundbreaking. They put so much thought and work behind this. It didn't get a good initial reception cause we didn't let it sink in yet. Their best album yet in my opinion.
"The Stage" is one of the best albums in recent times. Synyster Gates's guitar work is fucking incredible and the album really makes you think. Something a lot of music can't do today. I’m so happy that Alex finally listened to THE greatest song in the history of mankind. The ending speech is the most important speech I’ve ever heard and it speaks deeply about how we as a species can’t work together due to so many things all connected to Ego. After I heard this song I stopped looking at the world and myself as just a simple human being but started to look at everything as how we as a species could do/create so many wonderful things in he universe only if we let go of our Ego. Having Alex listen to this song while the protests are happening is shocking due to the fact the speech is literally talking about what is happening right now and that due to Ego we are letting our species kill/harm one another due to the fact of faith/skin color/etc. Yet if we stop looking at each other as different and more as a Human Species We can create a new and better world.

A7X is very innovative and this is clear proof.
It's actually Neil degrasse tyson.
The thing about Avenged Sevenfold is that they are influenced by everything from Metallica (Recently supported Metallica on their north American tour) , Pantera (Cover of Walk), Iron Maiden (Cover of Flash of the Blade), Black Sabbath (Live cover of Paranoid ), Guns N Roses (Live cover of It's So Easy) and even Pink Floyd (Cover of Wish You Were Here). I've been waiting for the reaction for too long AND ITS FINALLY HERE, THANK YOU ALEXXXXXX HHAHAHAAHAHA
To give the song some more perspective when listening to it, the beginning is supposed to be an imitation of the big bang. A giant explosion that comes from nowhere. The next several minutes of guitar shredding, backed by Wackerman's drums, is a representation of all the hot gases and matter in the universe forming into different galaxies and solar systems; it's chaotic, but has a beautiful, natural flow that can be heard. When the music finally settles down, and the first lyrics are sung, that is the point in which the Earth is finally created and human life is Existing. The atmosphere of the music is very calm and full of tension, but it's quickly resolved by Matt's vocals and a distortionless sounding guitar. The lyrics talk about how all of our lives are linked to the universe, and we are one with the stars. It continues on to talk about how the Earth is our "home", but how we as humans are meant to go beyond. The quote by Neil DeGrasse Tyson was added in by request of the band. They called him up and asked if he could say some stuff for them that they can use in his song. So the band recorded the conversation they had with him and had it put in. They were only going to use a small piece of it, but ended up using the whole thing. The quote, and the music, go on to explain how large the universe is, and how minute the trifles of the earth are. How we need to look up to the endless sea of stars in our sky and transcend our current ways of destructive living. To take our place in the universe, not separate ourselves from it. That is what music is all about; transcendence. I learned all of this by watching band interviews, and Tyson's interviews.

Amazing song. Goes hard everytime.
Our truth is painted across the sky
In our reflection we learn to fly
No hand to hold us
No one to save us from tomorrow
Sailing away, beyond the reach of anyone
Far beyond the dreams of everyone
No light to follow
A shot in the dark
Does anybody know?
Sailing away, beyond the reach of anyone
Far beyond the dreams of everyone
High from the heavens
I can't see the pain
Does anybody care?
Think for a moment of all the lives
Stripped of their essence before their time
We stand to conquer
But is there nothing left tomorrow?
I'm sailing away, beyond the reach of anyone
Far beyond the dreams of everyone
There's no light to follow
A shot in the dark
Does anybody know?
Sailing away, beyond the reach of anyone
Far beyond the dreams of everyone
High from the heavens
I can't see the pain
Does anybody care?
"We have one collective hope: the Earth
And yet, uncounted people remain hopeless, famine and calamity abound
Sufferers curl themselves into the arms of war
People kill and get killed in the name of someone else's concept of God
Do we admit that our thoughts and behaviors spring from a belief that the world revolves around us?
Each fabricated conflict, self-murdering bomb
Vanished airplane, every fictionalized dictator, biased or partisan, and wayward son
Are part of the curtains of society's racial, ethnic, religious, national, and cultural conflicts
And you find the human ego turning the knobs and pulling the levers
When I track the orbits of asteroids, comets, and planets
Each one a pirouetting dancer in a cosmic ballet, choreographed by the forces of gravity
I see beyond the plight of humans. I see a universe ever-expanding, with its galaxies embedded within the ever-stretching four-dimensional fabric of space and time
However big our world is, our hearts, our minds, our outsize atlases, the universe is even bigger
There are more stars in the universe than grains of sand on the world's beaches
More stars in the universe than seconds of time that have passed since Earth formed
More stars than words and sounds ever uttered by all humans who have ever lived
The day we cease the exploration of the cosmos is the day we threaten the continuing of our species
In that bleak world, arms-bearing, resource-hungry people and nations would be prone to act on their low-contracted prejudices
And would have seen the last gasp of human enlightenment
Until the rise of a visionary new culture that once again embraces the cosmic perspective
A perspective in which we are one, fitting neither above nor below, but within."
"Oh my god.....that is a nice voice"
He isn't wrong.
This song is the musical equivalent of a rollercoaster ride
I feel that way about Unbound (The Wild Ride) lol
@@jennaharrison9415 Thiiiss riiiiiiiiide! That takes me through life.
Ugh I freaking love this band! This album was a strong departure from what they had been doing but every album they put out is! They do such an amazing job of constantly evolving their sound and Matt's voice is unbelievably powerful. He hits you on another level! Don't believe me? Listen to any song he's featured on! There's just something about what he adds to music! And the insane guitar and drum talent in that band is legendary! A7x foREVer! Seriously dude, you gotta just listen to everything they've made! They legit do NOT have a single song that isn't amazing! From bangers to the ones that make you wanna cry, they write such incredible music! My fav band, hands down! Love the reaction as always! Keep up the great work! \m/
I know right..
All songs he's featured in, I'm like, ah this is a nice song. And then when he starts to sing it's just going to a whole other level
Please Please Avenged Sevenfold - Save Me
It's Honestly Their Best Song!
I would constantly rewatch Cosmos with Neil Degrasse Tyson every single day if all of the backing tracks were performed by A7X. This song is mesmerizing. You all know this to be true.
Wow you actually reacted to my favorite song by Avenged Sevenfold D: MASTERPIECE
React to some old A7X: Unholy Confessions, Chapter Four, Remenissions.
Unholy Conessions is the perfect introductuon a person can have to A7X
Or Eternal Rest
Eternal Rest and Desecrate Through Reverence
Second heart beat too
React to second heartbeat on lbc
I remember hearing this for the first time and being mind blown. I also remember thinking this was an instrumental until Matt started singing lol

Live in LBC is better than the studio version. 🤘
Live in Ventura is better
Yes please! 😁💜
One of the best songs before the lead singer got throat cancer.. i mean went commercial
Glad you like this song. Avenged Sevenfold is my favorite band since middle school. I found them out since "Sound of the Seventh Trumpet." That in mind, you should listen to "Lips of Deceit," "Warmness of the Soul," or "Darkness Surrounding" from that album
KC Charles Sounding is their best album imo
One of my all time favorite songs by them. Your reaction to the dude talking in the end is the same as mine every time. Song is just too damn good.
This is literally one of my favorite songs they've ever made. It's an absolute masterpiece!! It warmed my heart to see you appreciate it so deeply. This song is just all around amazing!
Finally a avenged Sevenfold song can u please do more like fiction seize the day and the stage
He's reacted to 2 different A7X songs so far. Nightmare and The Stage.

Out of all the reactions I seen for Exist, yours takes the cake!!! NICELY DONE
Brooks is a beast, M. Shadows is a monster 👾.... This song is on another level, i wonder and i just can't imagine how many times they tried to keep things better for such a perfect song like this and how many brains included... You nailed it A7X and you never doubted me... Big fan from India 🇮🇳
React to Avenged Sevenfold "I Wont See You Tonight Part 1" Please
I 2nd that!.
Definitely one of my favorites.
@@imnotwadewilsonsee3656 same here 😁
Yes!! One of my all time favs. Just as epic as this, with the same hypnotic trance as this one.
Now this is a must, IWSYT pt.1&2 is good
Even if you merge the songs it's only like 15 minutes, right..?
Finally, he did Exist. A7X 🤘
This song is a spiritual adventure. Pure music made by geniuses. Love evrything they do.
You should listen to “Save me” by avenged sevenfold
As I Lay Dying: Nothing Left. Then a follow up reaction of As I Lay Dying: The Sound of Truth. The videos go together and are amazing!

Yes love as i lay dying

Check out “Girl I Know” and “Dancing Dead” by Avenged Sevenfold!
Yes! Dancing Dead has one of the most underrated solos ever!
Most of diamonds in the rough songs are pretty catchy too, but yeah I agree about Dancing Dead, but I prefer Until The End rather than Girl I Know
DANCING DEAD THO. WHAT A SOLO THAT SONG HAS
I am so happy you did this song. This is my favorite song to date for Avenged Sevenfold. This whole album has some really good songs. They took their time to make this album. Keep up the good work.
CITY OF EVIL ALBUM! 🤘🔥🍻
This is their “Bohemian Rhapsody”
I think that Save Me holds that position, but Exist is just an incredible song too.
This is their "The Greatest Show on Earth"
Avenged sevenfold - save me. Not as long as exist but 11 mins of pure musicianship like they did here!
The only song that made me come back to your channel.. This is not just a song, it's an experience in its own.
Same here
