This lesson answers the questions: How do I factor a quadratic when a is not 1? How do I solve a trinomial? How do I find the x-intercept of a function? How do I find the y-intercept of a function? How do I find the x-intercepts of a quadratic function? How can a quadratic function have two x-intercepts? How do I find intercepts graphically? How do I find intercepts algebraically?

I must say you have definitely provided clarity for me with your detailed and informative instruction. Much appreciated!
Thanks for the comment, Tanya! I'm so glad that you enjoyed the lesson. I hope that you can give the video a thumbs up, subscribe to our channel, and continue learning math with us! -Anthony :)
I really thought I had finally found a video that would help me get this. The first part was great and then suddenly you just said the answers to the the quadratic equation while solving for X with no explanation of how you got there. Isn't that the point of a how to video? Anyway, it looks like a lot of other people magically got it so who knows.
I was struggling in math but this video helped me so much, thank you and you explain the thing so good 😊😊
I'm lost at 6:48 I don't get how he got (x+3)(x+2). Where did he get those numbers from?
Yeah I needed a little context he skipped alot.
It's a quadratic trinomial.
x^2 + 5x + 6
P (product/last number) = 6
S (sum/middle number) = 5
F (factor/two numbers that add to give 5 and multiply to give 6) = 3, 2
(x + 3)(x + 2)
jefferson, math skills are directly proportional to how much TV we watch... and indirectly proportional to how many video-games we play :)
He factored it. You should search for a "factoring quadratic equations" video.
whos watching this for school
not me
No body is watching this for fun
Everyone does
I'm watching it for the entertainment duh

Thank you dude thank so so so much ❤❤
Thank you sir
What a nice explanation thanks am Lilian
thanks you, but if someone doesn't know factor yet, this could led them searching for another factor video lmao, but thanks for your valuable information!
Thanks a lot. Your videos are very very informative and gives an idea of how algebraic equations works.
+Dhanesh Nair Thanks, Dhanesh! I'm so glad that you enjoyed the lesson and hope that you can subscribe to our channel! -Anthony :)
thanks, this helped me
Well explained.
thank you. this really helped
thaaaaaank yoou. this really helped
Thanks so much u helped me solved my problems on webassign for college 😊🙏
Thank you!!!!!!!
How would u find the y intercepts for this
0= 24x^2 - x^2 + 59 -357
Assuming that you meant y=24x^2 - x^2 + 59 -357, not 0= 24x^2 - x^2 + 59 -357, because that would be an equation and y wouldn't exist, here's how you would do it.
Step 1: Simplify.
24x^2-x^2= 23x^2
59-357= -298
y= 23x^2-298
Step 2: Substitute.
y= 23(0)^2-298
y=-298
OR (on TI-84)
Step 1: Enter "24x^2 - x^2 + 59 -357" into y=
Step 2: Graph with appropriate windows (you may have to change them a few times)
Step 3: 2nd, trace, "minimum"
y= -298
If you watched the video then you would have been able to solve this yourself. It was a question that reminded me of middle school so thx for the nostalgia.
thaaaaaank yoou. thos really help
this is good but please for the love of good those sound effects are cancer
ong bro
But how did you factor ? You were doing so amazingly explaining this until you just did that part in your mind instead of in the video!!
Jason... factoring is covered in previous tutorials. this tutorial deals with evaluating quadratic functions for the x and y intercepts. which is why it's titled... "HOW TO FIND X and Y INTERCEPTS :)
sounds a little like daily dose of internet. good video though I have a test in like 5 hours
nice😂😂😍😍
