Whoever is in your class must be blessed to have you as a teacher. I have a teacher that has been teaching math for over 27 years and he still does not know how to explain properly. Thanks alot man! :)
I am having mid term after 3 hours and your video saved my life..i don't know how you do it but I love your way of explaining you make everything look way more simple than it is .. Keep on going sir
Your videos are a God-send. Thank you for being so thorough with your explanations and examples. My 7th grader is taking advanced Math and as an online learner to boot. I'm pretty good at Math but it's been a minute since I took Algebra. My son wishes you were his math teacher.
Your videos are literally so helpful, my algebra teacher is useless and doesn’t teach. He teaches things so complicated and not as good as you, just watched one of you videos while doing a test I knew nothing on 😂
This guys a life saver. I do independent leanring (To sum it up quickly, I have a book and teach myself, but still have access to school resources) anyways, I took a month break and forgot a lot of stuff and i have misplaced my notebook for math, so this guys a big help. Thank you!🙏
I couldn't remember exactly how to do this, but OMG your video was sooo easy to understand. What level class was this you were teaching? You're awesome! 👏
Brian McLogan I want thank you with all my heart. When I'm in class I always feel disconnected and nothing makes sense at all and feel that it's impossible to understand math but when I watch your videos I realize that it's actually quite simple and that it makes sense ☺️.
You are an amazing teacher and this is a great lesson. I just wish you taught this with only letters because that what I’m doing rn it’s all polynomials
Oh now I understand it multiplies to 4 and it adds to 5, see this is the Part of the factoring that I needed to know, and Brian McLogan really nice job solving it using your brain. To be fair it was pretty easy. But the thing is there is factoring problems that are so hard to factor because they include really big numbers. There’s probably a video out for it, I’ll check. Thanks for this video, it helped me.
This is the best content!! I do learning by distance and this is such great help. I have used plenty of your videos to help me with the difficulties of studying though distance. Keep it going!!!
Im a little confused at 6:44. Could you explain that to me? I don’t understand how you wrote x+4=0 and x+1=0 and made them negative at the end. Where did the negative come from? Thanks!
Mr. Logan...I really need your help. If my quadratic equation is x^2-4x+5....how can I figure out the x intercepts? Positive 5 does not have two numbers to make it positive five and also equal -4. If I take the entire equation and multiply it by -1, then -x^2 will still not come out correctly.
Brian McLogan actually never mind I asked my tutor to help and he explained everything in your video, and thx for Asking (btw I refer to ur videos a lot for help in mathematics)
I wish I could find a video of how to find the y intercept, when the equation is not so easily factored, or the quadratic formula gives you a negative radical.
I have plenty of videos on solving via the quadratic formula with negative radicals, however please note that gives you the values of the x-intercepts not y
thank goodness someone knows how to do this. he explains it better than my teacher
I most certainly agree with your statement
y'all have teachers that explain?!
@@abinavsuresh756 XD
fr tho o.O We have a test in a few hours and I didn't know how to find this and that until now

I want him as my teacher. Having a lesson then being able to look back at it. That’s pretty neat
Thats so real
literally the only way im getting through my math class
I'd have to agree
same, except i’m still failing 🧍🏽♀️

you are very welcome! sorry to hear about that
3:34 "God, I'm so confused"
What question do you have?
Sorry, I was just referring to the sound-bite in the video, I just thought it was funny. I love your vids, so keep up the good work!
that made me loled so hard XD
Sir after getting the y and x intercepts im gonna graph it right??
Hence the pic

Thank you so much! I honestly cannot express my gratitude for this! You are a god among men sir!
thank you for being on youtube :')

you probably wont read this, but i wanted to thank you so much for not blocking the work with the video thumbnails at the end
Sir, you are much better at teaching math than my college professor! Thank you, Thank you!
one of the best math teachers on the internet. Thank you
THIS HAS SAVED MY LIFE THANK YOU SO MUCH MY TEACHER COULD NEVER TEACH IT SO WELL🙏🙏🙏🙏
i have watched so many of your videos and you cover everything i need help with perfectly
Thanks so much, this actually really helped. I've never really seen a math teacher who can explain math so well, lol.
It is batter to watch this than going class for this course !!!!!!!! I learn more from this.. thank you.

am from Zambia and learning with you mr.logan has been amazing.thanks
holy shit dude im you’re the only reason I might pass my test thanks a million (and you do these for free!)
Thank you I slept during class and realized I don’t understand my quiz. I’ll come back tomorow with the knowledge.
So for the “factoring” part of the x-intercepts did you just add X to a and X to c if so what happens to b?
You explained this much better than my teacher! Thank you!
I couldn't remember exactly how to do this, but OMG your video was sooo easy to understand. What level class was this you were teaching? You're awesome! 👏
You are very welcome! I do not remember but I would guess algebra 2
You are such an amazing teacher. Thank you for making life easier!!!
you explained it so briefly but full of good information. Thank you! This is going to help me on my finals
you are very welcome Jillian! Best of luck on your finals

Great presentation!!! Went to class professor lectured with examples and problems couldnt understand. Watched this once and all it took. Thank you!
awesome! happy it helped
Thank you so much. The edgenuity I'm taking is terrible since they barely include explanations or examples for you to practice. Thanks again.
THANK U FOR THIS !!!!!!! 😊😊

Are you always supposed to have 2 x values? What if you want only 1 x value?
I always go to these videos for help. Thanks so much!
This helped me so much, thank you!
Can you use the quadratic formula instead of factoring for the x-intercepts?
Thank you so much for this vid, sir ❤❤
omg, you explained this better in 7 minutes than my teacher did in two days! Tysm!
happy to help
2:12 when ur talking with ur mate lmao

i love how you're so effective and yet clear. YOu cut the shit and go straight to the point. love it
Thank you my teacher just has us go online so thank you for actually teaching me how.
thank you for this ! i have finals and really needed help
Best of luck, you are welcome
your videos are always helpful. Thank you
Can u do a video of finding the x and y intercept and x and y coordinate using the intercept form...
He did jus search “ x and y coordinate using intercept for Brian mclogan”
Oh now I understand it multiplies to 4 and it adds to 5, see this is the Part of the factoring that I needed to know, and Brian McLogan really nice job solving it using your brain. Does the Y intercept always equals the C term?
-Le v en- yes
thank you sir for making graphs easy✊🏻😃
The explanation is excellent and simple
I'm answering his questions like I'm there in class too "yup" "uh huh" hahaha
6:50 how did you get the (x+1)?
Factor it,4 by 1=4 and 4+1=5 don't remember the name of the type of this factoring process
Mark Stephen x method !
really easy to understand, great video it helped me a lot!
awesome! happy to help
how will you know if you don't need to find the x intercept since there are some parabolas that don't cross the x axis
u got my thanks really appreciate u deserve more views
thank you, just happy to make videos to help you out
Hey, I had this college teacher as my Geometry teacher at FSCJ
Thank you very much sir, you've been so helpful to my studies with your clear explanation👏👍✊

Wow ~! This helped me so much for tomorrow's test that I will have. Thank you so much Mr.McLogan
you are very welcome! best of luck!
you are absolutely amazing i have been struggling with this for ages!! thank you!
Im a little confused at 6:44. Could you explain that to me? I don’t understand how you wrote x+4=0 and x+1=0 and made them negative at the end. Where did the negative come from? Thanks!
when you subtract, you have to subtract from both sides using the properties of equality
This is factorization method.u can use quadratic formula
This guy has helped me so much
Which grade are you teaching?
@Brian McLogan how do you solve f(x)=2(3)power of x
Do you still have to factor for the x-intercept even if the function given is not a perfect square?
factor if factorable, quadratic formula can also be used
I have a question ❓ teacher how can we factorize the equation
What grade do u teach?
your open downwards parabola is not symmetrical, is that okay?
thanks for helping me a day before my test lmao
Me right now lol. Good luck
Mr. Logan...I really need your help. If my quadratic equation is x^2-4x+5....how can I figure out the x intercepts? Positive 5 does not have two numbers to make it positive five and also equal -4. If I take the entire equation and multiply it by -1, then -x^2 will still not come out correctly.
Finally I found a good video.
Now I more understand it :)
awesome! happy to help
Thanks sir that was very helpful, you're are a great teacher
happy to be able help you out!
i dont understand this at all
not a problem, tell me what you do no understand, and I can try to help
Brian McLogan actually never mind I asked my tutor to help and he explained everything in your video, and thx for Asking (btw I refer to ur videos a lot for help in mathematics)
Brian McLogan I just didn't understand how you would say x= 0 on the y intercept and how y=0 on the x intercept.
@@user-eu5sq2yy2xYeah I'm a bit stuck on that too
민??욘기 at like 2:51 ? Ok so basically it’s saying y=0 on the graph when the points (red dots) reach x, that is where y=0
sir, i am 2 weeks late on math homework, you just saved my ass. thank you thank you thank you thank you and thank you.
what if you can't factor the standard form equation for the x-intercepts? what you do then?
complete the square or quadratic formula
but what if i have something like 3x2( three x squared) instead of just x squared?
Sir For x intercepts put y=0 in ax^2+bx+c and for y intercept put x= 0 in ax^2+bx+c =y .DrRahul Rohtak Haryana India
How do you solve the factors?
Thanks for explaining it
If this is your equation y=2x²+4x can you still get the x-int?
Could you break the equation at 6:39 a little so I can see all the steps
what do we do when the trinomial cant be factored
"Madman" McLogan does it again. Nice work.
Thnx alot. I need this to refresh what ive learnt
awesome! happy to be able to help you out!
Do you have one on how to find the x int using the quadratic formula?
The solutions to the quadratic formula are the x-intercepts here are more examples ua-cam.com/play/PL0G-Nd0V5ZMpWTMkfciifegx7lHEMr0_6.html
thank you!! i needed this
You saved my life thanks
you are very welcome
could you use the quadratic equation to factor
So what if my c value is a variable how would I solve that
therefore, the x intercepts do not have to be the same? for example if an x intercept is 3 the other intercept does not have to be -3?
they do not have to be the same and rarely are they
oh okay thats what I figured, thank you so much!!! you helped me pass my college algebra class!! I got a B
why does your red marker have a green cap
I wish I could find a video of how to find the y intercept, when the equation is not so easily factored, or the quadratic formula gives you a negative radical.
I have plenty of videos on solving via the quadratic formula with negative radicals, however please note that gives you the values of the x-intercepts not y
