The benefit of Belly is that it gives the yankees flexibility when it comes to a trade or free agency pickup. You can go for a 1b or outfielder and trust that Belly will fill the other position.
The Athletic is reporting that Astros were on his list but the Kyle Tucker trade gave him pause. Wants to wait to see what other players get moved before deciding. 🤷♂️
I might be wrong but I thought the short list teams were only teams where he can't say no to go to, but that doesn't mean he can't be traded to another team. If the Giants for example, which are not on the list, offer a trade to the Cardinals and if Arenado doesn't mind going there, then he can.
Fun story line on Texas v Clemson Klubnik is from Austin & beat Ewers twice for the Texas state championship in HS - but the MVP from those games now play w Ewers walk on to all American safety Michael Taaffe
Yankee fans need to realize that you're not getting 2019 Bellingee and he'll miss at least 60 games. Hopefully he does well, I love the guy as a player.
On the one hand, as a Houston fan- I didn't want Arenado, so this Is ultimately a relief.... But penultimately, on the other hand, I take umbrage to being rejected, lol!! The window may be closing, but I'll be damned if Arenado is too good for us, lol!!!
O's need 2 more starters. They have young guys still, they have a promising vet, but my goodness not having Burnes is rough. Could have even Manea/Sugano at the top of the rotation, but they need SOMETHING else
And I haven't forgot Eflin, but just 9 starts made last year and a career 4.17 isn't that guy. Okay 3, good 4 or 5 if healthy. And a near decade of proof to pretty much solidify that belief
@@zaneplatt3533Yes but that doesn't mean they couldn't still use Burnes. His numbers eclipse any pitcher they had in 2023 or 2024. Their pitching is middle of the road outside of Bradish and Gray Rod, and they both dealt with injury. As did Rogers and Eflin. That's 4 out of their 5 slotted starters in 2024 alone hurt. They need someone who they can roll out with confidence
Stop. Center is a much larger field,. Aside from personal play. If you struggled playing left (where an arm is required) then you cannot play Center ~ where Joe Di & Mick patrolled "death valley."
How do Yankee fans feel about Castillo and Arozarena from Seattle? I'm a Mariners fan and I feel like Randy would do very well in New York. Mariners get: Doyle, McMahon, Tovar, Rodnik Yankees get:Castillo, Arozarena Rockies get:Montes or Celesten, Dominguez, Hampton
@whlewis9164 I wouldn't say that. He's a normal hot and cold guy. He can carry a team for a few weeks, and he can slump. He plays good defense and will consistently hit more than 20 home runs. He's fast and has flare like Jazz. That'd be an entertaining combo from the Yanks. I know that the Mariners don't want to trade Castillo without getting better. That package makes the team better. The Rockies wouldn't trade their young guys without a high upside return. Dominguez and Montes could be hitting 40 hrs each in coors within 2 years. The Yankees could get their impact outfielder they want and a starter to allow them to dump Stroman somewhere. Watching Castillo, he isn't declining like Sox fans are trying to convince everyone to make them feel Casas is an unreasonable get. From what the team says, they want him to let his stuff play and not throw 100% so he can be better prepared for the playoffs. In 23, when he was in the Cy young race with Cole, the Mariners rode him so hard that he got tired and didn't have a good final couple starts, which knocked him out of contention. 24 was his first year that he looked like he wasn't even trying for 96-97 mph. When he wanted it, he could rear back and hit 98-99. The Mariners know he's not declining, they just need hitting more and the guys making money are the candidates to be able to acquire said hitting. Besides, the way the front office talks, they believe Sasaki is between them(Seattle) or the Dodgers.
@whlewis9164 Yeah, Arozarena is above average for sure. In my idea, I'm just not sure how much the Rockies would need back. Rodnik and McMahon aren't big needle movers, just supplemental pieces we (Mariners)need. The value comes from Doyle and Tovar. It would definitely help all 3 teams to do something like this.
Ahh YES there gonna have 2 3rd basemen. One being paid 35Mil and the other 22Mil, let me guess they are gonna share the bag. I'm not an Angels fan but it's kinda obvious they already have an expensive 3rd Basemen
Why do athletes always go for sloppy seconds of another athlete? Billions of people in this world with their money and fame, you telling me they cant find a different girl to date?
I feel like no one is saying it but I want Kim at 2nd ! We got a bunch of international pool money from the Sox. If we don't get Sasaki (which we honestly don't need) I would LOVE to get Kim and keep Jazz at 3rd
Being a Korean american, would love that, but i feel San Fran has the upperhand due to his former Korean teammate CF Lee already there... I like the lefty 2nd baseman Korean that just got posted as well
@officialroyflush1 that's fair and probably more likely. I just really love the guys skill set and think it's exactly what we need. A speedy contact hitter with great D. I also for some reason am big on the Jazz at 3rd train. He's got such a cannon for an arm that if he just fine tunes the hot corner fundamentals I could see him being an easy gold if not platinum glove over there.c
@FunkEmonK804 dude he is elite on the field. Speed on basepaths helps his hitting although much more to be desired in regards to bat alone. But after dealing with Gleyber, he will be a godsend
Scathing Rockettes reviews are exactly why I watch this show.
600 x $100 $600,000 wtf
I’ve always said baseball is about math😂
Wake and Jake is such a treat to watch. It’s like having sports convos (and sometimes opinions about the Rockettes) with friends.
Cubs were 12th in offense before the Tucker acquisition and getting absolutely nothing from 3b, so Shaw is an upgrade basically no matter what

We've known for a week that Arenado had a short list, and the Astros weren't on it. Why have the trade talks even continued?
The Athletic is reporting that Astros were on his list but the Kyle Tucker trade gave him pause. Wants to wait to see what other players get moved before deciding. 🤷♂️
Same thought has been in my head 😂
Hes coming to Boston.

Glad my favorite player doesnt want to play for some cheating frauds
I think stanton should get a nice vacation mid season just to rest up for October. He earned it lol
Knowing how tough left field is, I’d lake to take a moment to appreciate Matsui. We never complained about his defense
Juiced Cody or status quo cody is the question .
Rolling up this morning cause i missed yesterday 🫡

33:08 "Yankee Blinders"... isn't that a show on the BBC starring Tyler Glasnow?
I’m very much looking forward to having Dominguez be the every day CF 💯
Left bat with pop for the yanks, could sound like Ketel Marte

Maybe he just doesn’t like to cheat?
@jeffbarrett791 sure, sure. Could be. Nevertheless, I'm content, overall, with the result- no matter the reason!
Can someone tell me why trading our rookie of the year make any sense?

Didn't the O's have a better season the year before Burne's came? Or am I misremembering?
