DSG is as fast as sequential. There wouldn't be a point
@@Commonginger of course there is a point otherwise they wouldn't make them. They are alot stronger gearbox. These dsg are known to fail on track under hard use. I'm not so sure about dsg been as fast either. I haven't seen any figures so what figures have you see to prove that
@@DaleSteel sure theyre stronger, but for cost effectiveness, the DSG is plenty for 99% of track use. If they were to fail on track, why are they used in VW/Audi/Seat TCR racing cars?
@@Commonginger you do realise that many of the TCR cars have the quaif box? If you look you can order the tcr with quaife or dsg. Dsg too fragile for hard track use which is why they offer alternative. Time attack then dsg is fine but the sound of a quaife makes it
Dale Steel No TCR cars have Quaife sequential boxes. They’re made of chocolate. VAG TCR cars are either DSG or Sadev Sequential.
