Favorite CC live song. Love the long guitar intro. Opened w this in Tampa years ago at Performing Arts Center. First of 4 times had pleasure of seeing them live.
Thanks for recording this whole Counting Crows Concert in Houston on 8/19/2023. The Quality is incredibly good. How did you get so close and please tell me what kind of equipment you used to record this show? I have been yelling to have Counting Crows play Sullivan Street for many years and this version is soooooo good. Thankd you so much for recording these songs from this concert. Thanks......... Barry
I love this TS song, and I love Adam. It’s cool to hear it through the lens of Counting Crows. Like he is singing to it to Elizabeth or Maria. “Good night Elizabeth, I’m so sorry… but I am the Rain King…” Now I gotta pull out all my CC albums.
Yeah it’s a great song. I watched Adam and the gang play it awhile ago in my hometown of St. Paul. And the funny part is Adam got up to start the song and his mic was missing!😊 somehow it got misplaced. So everyone laughed and it was replaced and on it went. I think Jacob Dylan opened that night.
@@spacecityshows I’m not a wise guy, but here is something from someone who is… “HD simply refers to a given number of pixels in the signal, not some measure of quality. Even 1080p TV is lower resolution than the photos on most camera phones. Even the 4k video used in the latest Hollywood blockbuster movies is lower quality than the still photos of most camera phones. Video takes up far FAR more data than stills. If you think about it, 1 second of video contains between 24 and 60 individual photos depending on the format of video being used. Now there are ways to shrink the video since a lot of the pictures are very similar, but the quality that can be recorded is still much smaller than what we can process for a still.” So… think of it this way, HD is the image quality, not the equipment used. If you use your HD phone to photograph the moon you will not get an HD image. If you video the moon with your HD phone the footage you get will be even lower quality. Photography is a very complex subject even before you get to lenses, magnification and camera settings. Good band and song though.

I fell in love with Counting Crows when this album came out as a teen in the 90s. Two decades later, I named my son Sullivan because of this song ❤❤
