  • In this video we discuss the available rear hub options that are available for your CycleKart wheels. I found that of the 6 OEM Honda rims I have, only 2 fit perfectly. The others will require a bit of clearance to fit. Renegade designed these hubs to fit the new wheels available from andrew@in-groundtrampolines.com
    Other new wheels from Thailand and or Taiwan, may be slightly different. Talk to Mark before you order you wheels and or order the hubs.

    I'm enjoying your video's. One of the best things I see is a young man in there building and not a 4 1/2" grinder machinest. He's accultey using saws and sanders and cutters. Awesome work.

    If the hubs are a bit too big put them on a vertical drill and grind a bit off.

    was wondering if you think i could take the rear axel and tires and use it like a trike kit on a 250cc scooter i want to build something like a trunk trike basically hang the wheels back 2 feet behind the rear wheel and attach the side rails to the side rails of my scooter ? i could just get a trike kit but the car wheels are a lot heavier then the wheels on the kart can they handle 65 mph ?

      the wheels we use are motorcycle wheels, so they should be good for highway speeds. Although that sounds pretty fast for this type of technology.

    Has anyone used the drum brake that is incorporated in the wheel?
    I would love to see a usable knockoff wheel mod.

    Could you use bigger motorcycle wheels like the aftermarket ones for baggers?
    I'm designing a steam car based on the cyclekart concept and large diameter wheels are needed even if they're expensive

      yes, you just have to come up with a method to attach them to the axles.

    Are the wheels that are commonly used, are they front or rear wheels from the motorcycle?

    • @stevevinson6030
      @stevevinson6030  2 роки тому +1

      Yes we use 2 fronts and 2 rears from the Honda CT90 or similar.

      Some vendors may ship to Canada, I would try to find original old wheels if I were you. there has to be motorcycle recycle yard somewhere near you.

      International shipping is always a challenge. Depending on where you are located, perhaps you can organize a group purchase? Shipping more parts, may lower the cost for all?

      @@stevevinson6030 agreed - I’m in Australia so would need to use a third party mailing service. I just made do with what I could get here. It’s part of the challenge I suppose.
