But the train is so damn expensive
From experience, train is better 👌
Electric bike would be nice too but different kind trip altogether
A quick heads-up for potential tourists: Switzerland is expensive for sure, but especially so if you go to all the touristy places like these people did. There’s plenty of fantastic places to be discovered where the views are equally incredible but the accomodations, fondues and chocolates are a fraction of the cost. You also basically don’t need a car in most of Switzerland
may you please give examples of the less expensive cities or towns.
@@jaquelinekachidza1972 I’ve went there. Even in the outskirts I remember a Big Mac combo meal cost almost $20
@@jaquelinekachidza1972 I would recommend to stay in Air bnb's somewhere in the Mountains or in smaller villages (like 100-1000 citizens). Every bigger city in switzerland is pretty expensive and in my oppinion perfect to visit them as 1 day tour or something like that. I can recommend to visit Boltigen (beautiful small village and i paid for my really really nice air bnb 40 Francs per night). Just search for smaller villages near the big city's ;)
@@JohnSmith-iw4qs imagine goin to Switzerland for a Big Mac.
Doesn't the same argument apply to ALL touristy countries?? I'm always surprised at how with Switzerland, tourists seem to feel different rules should apply.
Paris is even more unbelievably expensive, especially considering the french locals only make HALF the money (best case) the Swiss make. Same high prices in Venice, New York, Stockholm, Oslo, Tokio, London, Sydney, Monaco, Kitzbühl, Munich, Rome, etc.
As a dutch person I'm incredibly jealous of the amount of nature Switzerland has. It can't compare to seeing those beautiful large open fields and mountains.

HARMONY!!! This nation allows mafia, corporate criminals and common tax cheaters from around the world to avoid contributing to the nations that have been the base for their succes. This nation are a leech on all other countries on the planet and this nation disgusts me. I remember another nation where the population were in denial about the atrocities happening around them with their silent endorsement. This is a bit worse in the sense that Switzerland have a pretty deep democracy, so the population time after time endorses the nations leeching on all others. Ausfahrt is actually the biggest city in Europe with so many road signs: this city cover all Germany, all Austria, all Liechstenstein, three quarter of Switzerland, Tiny part of Lusembourg, and small part of Belgium as well
As a Swiss I have a few remarks
- Firstly, and most importantly, I'm very glad you liked your stay.
- Secondly, the Top of Europe: The Jungfraujoch is actually not the highest point of Europe or Switzerland, there are plenty of higher places, but the highest train station. And all in all quite a great experience.
- Thridly, the salaries: While salaries, household income, individual wealth et cetera are certainly very high, the average income isn't quite 120'000 dollars, but rather atound 78'000 Swiss Francs (circa 85'000USD).
- Minimum salary: Actually, Switzerland doesn't have a minimum income. A handful of cantons do have one on a cantonal level.
Apart from that I really liked the video and think you conveyed great, what I like most about Switzerland: All the action you can have. If you ever visit again, I recommend you consider visiting Bern for a nice old town and/or the canton of Ticino (which btw is a canyoning eldorado).

Glad you correct it. Most foreigners think we live in milk and honey when we don't.
I've also had people argue with me about the universal public healthcare system, that we don't even have...
@@NotKimiRaikkonen compared to the US, we have it. Believe me.
I'm not a Swiss, but I've been there twice. Switzerland is rly the richest country, in Switzerland, the most of people are millionaires or have a enough money for everything. I couldn't see someone who was disappointed or unsatisfied for living there. I think caucasus mountains are better in terms of nature, but Switzerland is Well-groomed country.
my first experience with switzerland was when we were on our way home to germany from italy. we were on a huge bus and once it took a break arround bern and we were getting to mc donalds, trying to hurry cause we only had 10minutes. mc donalds was full of people, like literally full ! no way we gonna make that in time. we were so hungry so i went into the mc drive, i wanted to ask people in their car if they would order for us also if we give them money. i didnt had high expection but wanted to try it at least. the first car i asked, a mother and her daughter in a very nice benz limousine instantly said YEA SURE I CAN DO THAT. and i was so stoked how friendly they were. when she got the order and gave us ours, which was in time with the bus stop, i wanted to give her the money which was like 20 euros. she was smiling "no i cant take this" and i was literally arguing with her to please take the money , cause she was allready so nice to us, no way i dont pay this lady. and she was like, NO NO NO, I INSIST TO PAY FOR YOU GUYS. I WANT TO PAY THIS. end of the story, she paid for our meals, a complete stranger. i never met such generous people. lady, you saved us that night!

When I was 20 years old, I looked out of my window into a backyard full of junk, in an area of Zurich where you don't want to live. I had CHF 200 to live on per month, was alone and working out a plan to get myself out of poverty. We do have poor people. But for example the „Klein Matterhorn“ is a 3‘883m high mountain (so it is around 400m higher than Jungfraujoch) and there you can go with an Aerial Tramway. So you also can get there by doing nothing.

Great video! Swizerland is for sure one of the most dream places you can visit! We've been there already 3 times, seen some amazing landscapes but still have not seen everything I have on my list! I made a video of the 10 best places we've seen so far, which I found it was quite hard to choose from! But yeah this country is just so beatiful you can spend months exploring...
Hello
I'll never forget my time in Lauterbrunnen. Simply amazing country.
Where do you think he booked his hotel in Lauterbrunnen? Views so awesome and with that price 😳
Everything looks so dreamy! I can’t imagine what it was like to be there in person!! 😍🏰

Your video is pretty calmly and beautiful. Thanks for this.
Wow this video is so inspiring that I will definitely visit Switzerland soon😍😍😍so nice and peaceful
I was born in Switzerland 21 years ago and still can experience new mind-blowing views like that very often, because there is so much to see! Thank you world!
there's way more to see in the Usa i bet you have never traveled outside of europe. the usa has bigger mountains and better ski resorts than tiny little switzerland. everything that exists in switzerland can also be found in usa. name one skyline of switzerland haha there's none. no beautiful beaches like in California in switzerland. only the snowflake swiss people like switzerland all immigrants hate this place they only like the money they can get in switzerland.
@@ironb7007 I'll rather visit any other continent than america 🤡
Damn iron who hurt you?
@@livingfinance they don't like foreigners in switzerland especially not black ones
@@ironb7007 that’s not unique to Switzerland. So I don’t know why you are singling them out.
in my opinion, the most beautiful city in switzerland is lucerne, the people are really friendly there and the city is right on the lake, when the weather is nice you can even see the mountains. you can also visit a lot of swiss shops. and take some very nice photos.
Nice informative video. Good for beginners. Keep up the good work.
Also Switzerland is in comparison to other countries very expensive, but the places you visited on your trip are some of the most visited tourist locations in all of Switzerland so the prices there are generally a fair bit higher than in the "normal" regions of the country. Though of course, Switzerland is very very expensive!
I live in Switzerland and I have to say I am always amazed by how amazing it is here. Switzerland never loses its charme🥰
Amazing in what way?
@@mellyklint6199 It is just beautiful and there are so many different things to see and do.🥰
@@juliatobler9253 Lol.. That's your opinion.. And moreover, you are swiss so such a comment is expected.
@@mellyklint6199 I mean yeah it is but I am allowed to have this opinion and I didn't mean it in a harmfull way or such

I enjoyed it too❤
I love to be a swiss girl and i am very proud of our very beautiful country! 🇨🇭❤️
So beautiful
As a Swiss, you NEED to realise how UNDECENT you ARE and should be presented as. YOUR nation allows mafia, corporate criminals and common tax cheaters from around the world to avoid contributing to the nations that have been the base for their succes. SUCH a shameful way of preying on others! How can you look yourself in the mirror without realising you cause death and havoc around the world because money that should have stayed locally are being stolen and placed in a nation with no care for others suffering. The entire world would instantly become a better place if the global leech, Switzerland did not exist. OPEN you eyes!
@@Mike-ox8sq good lord - what an unreflected comment. Hope you are at least Swiss yourself and know what you are talking about and not just some knowledge from your social media bubble. Unbeliveable ......

You have NO idea how negatively a country with less than 9 million people CAN influate our planet.
As I wrote on page 1: “EVERY time I recieve 1 (one) negative comment on this text, I will add another page listing companies or organisations that have committed anything from murderous atrocities to coruption, market manipulation and other illegal and unethical behavior related to Switzerland”.

Trafigura. Wastedumping in Côte d'Ivoire
The 2006 Côte d'Ivoire toxic waste dump was a health crisis in Côte d'Ivoire in which the Probo Koala, a ship registered in Panama and chartered by Trafigura, hired a local contractor to offload waste in Abidjan after refusing to pay a €1,000 per cubic metre surcharge imposed by Amsterdam Port Services to discourage waste disposal in the Netherlands. The local contractor, Tommy, improperly dumped the waste materials at as many as 12 sites in and around the city of Abidjan in August 2006. The gas caused by the release of these chemicals is blamed by the UN and the government of Côte d'Ivoire for the deaths of 17 and the injury of over 30,000 Ivorians, with injuries that ranged from mild headaches to severe burns of skin and lungs. Almost 100,000 Ivorians sought medical attention.
Trafigura maintains that the substance dumped consisted of "slops", or waste water from washing the Probo Koala's tanks. An inquiry in the Netherlands, in late 2006, confirmed the substance to consist of more than 500 tonnes of a mix of fuel, hydrogen sulfide, and sodium hydroxide, known as caustic soda.
Trafigura denied any waste was transported from the Netherlands, saying that the substances contained only tiny amounts of hydrogen sulfide, and that the company did not know the substance was to be disposed of improperly. Trafigura officials, including Claude Dauphin and the company’s West Africa regional director, traveled to Abidjan to assist in the cleanup effort but were arrested and imprisoned by the Ivorian government. While its executives were being held, the company agreed to pay US$198 million for cleanup to the Ivorian government without admitting wrongdoing, and the Ivorian government pledged not to prosecute the company.[Dauphin and his fellow executives were released following the settlement.
In 2008 a civil lawsuit in London was launched by almost 30,000 Ivorians against Trafigura. In May 2009 Trafigura announced it would sue the BBC for libel after its Newsnight program alleged the company had knowingly sought to cover up its role in the incident. In September 2009 The Guardian obtained and published internal Trafigura emails showing that the traders responsible knew how dangerous the chemicals were. Shortly afterwards Trafigura agreed to a settlement of £30 million (US$42.4 million) to settle the suit.[In 2010 a Dutch court found Trafigura guilty of illegally exporting toxic waste from Amsterdam.

Paris Saint-Germain presidentNasser Al-Khelaifi and former FIFA number two Jerome Valcke to face prison for alleged corruption in the allocation of World Cup TV rights. Valcke sought the Qatari's help in the summer of 2003 to buy a luxury villa in Sardinia, at a time when beIN, a Qatari-owned broadcaster, was negotiating the extension of its media rights in North Africa and the Middle East for the 2026 and 2030 World Cups.
(MY comment) Most people would probably guess it was not your first shake down if you demand a luxury villa as, alleged, bribe! FIFA....again! The neutrality here seems to be the usual, we take, alledgely, bribes from everyone in this nation!

Credit Suisse report into $5.5 billion Archegos loss shows bank has a massive culture problem
(ABC, 2005)
ABC Radio reported in 2005 that Glencore "has been accused of illegal dealings with rogue states: apartheid South Africa, USSR, Iran, and Iraq under Saddam Hussein", and has a "history of busting UN embargoes to profit from corrupt or despotic regimes". Specifically, the CIA found that Glencore had paid $3,222,780 in illegal kickbacks to obtain oil in the course of the UN oil-for-food programme for Iraq

In 2013 and 2014, a subsidiary of Glencore Xstrata was awarded two offshore drilling licenses off the coast of occupied Western Sahara. The licenses are awarded in clear violation of international law, as described by the UN in 2002.

Ahhh to be back!! The Fuller family 2018 Swiss adventure was a certainly a trip to remember. Michael and I decided to bring our little ones on this trip. Switzerland in May was just stunning, we traveled all over the country but you would need several lifetimes to do it justice. Our youngest Isaac (8) and our eldest Francis (12) enjoyed their stay almost more then us. Our amazing hispanic nanny Camila Martinez was just great. She offered to come on the trip with us in order to take care of the kiddies! Michael and I enjoyed the time to ourselves - Many thanks to you Ms Martinez! Spring time in Switzerland treated us well. Between the many train rides, festivals, hiking, and the 4-5 star restaurants, we found great pleasure in our travels! We love hiking and biking, especially along a river. We find joy in any river, but River Gorges was particularly special, with concentrated beauty, with lots to observe including interesting rock formations, wild flower beds, moss walls, and waterfalls.
With Love,
Marg xx
