i tried oil this past year and now thats all I want to paint with... I agree that the cheaper paints don't work as well as the more expensive ones but they do work in a pinch. Have you r=tried painting the canvas all black with acrylic yet and then letting it dry and then painting over that with oil? It adds a lot of depth and shadows and comes out really cool. I can tell you enjoy this like I do. It is exciting. I like the movement of the water you got there. I also like Monet.
