Photographing Shorebirds in my floating blind. The best method for Waterfowl photography

- You all have seen my homemade floating blind (hide) before, so this in nothing new for you. Each time I use it, I am more and more convinced that this is the best way to photograph waterfowl and shorebirds. In this video, I spend some time tracking down another species of bird that I've never photographed before. After watching it for a couple of days, I take out the ol' floating blind and setup in the early hours of the morning!
I wasn't only able to photograph the bird I was after, but a whole bunch of other birds and species as well. I love using the floating blind because I stay pretty well camouflaged and I feel it's a very ethical way (if done correctly) to photograph these beautiful animals.
I hope you all are staying safe out there in your adventures. Thanks for following along, we'll see you all next week!

So well filmed and photographed, Jimmy. A beautiful bird that I have yet to see in person. Thanks for sharing.👍👍
Awesome, The Stilts are so lovely. Enjoy your Week.
Thanks a lot for more excellent footage and pictures. That's a great locations, they don't have any sticky mud on their feet!
Cracking video, great footage and some wonderful shots. Your perseverance and patience paid off. Thanks for your time and effort
Great footage of the American Avocets. Maybe the Stilts seen hunters in blind before!
Awesome series my dear friend Jimmy... keep continue 👍
Floating blind gives you an amazing perspective, how you film yourself inside of that, now that's impressive, great video too!
I have a floating blind myself, and it's hard work, but lot's of fun. Hard, because it's hard to find right places, and my season here is quite short, and very cold at the beginning (from -3C and up air temp) And shooting in the mornings, often mist is created, and while great at times, it destroys sharpness :-)
Your passion for the animals and the joy photographing them really shows in your videos. Thank you for sharing it and getting me out there when I'm not, so to speak ;)
I could watch this type of scene for hours. The floating blind idea seems so much fun. Thanks for sharing!
Another excellent video and images as well. That floating blind looks like a lot of fun and if we had a good location to use one I would build one myself. You must be just about ready to head for the tundra to photograph the Grizzleys. I am looking forward to seeing your videos from that trip. Have a great week and thanks for sharing!!
very lovely photograph dude. my diy floating hide almost finish probably next week and im excited to photograph water birds..
Very Nice! 👍👍👍
The water is so shallow the stilts have their feet barely wet - were you lying down in the water completely? I don't think it would be possible to hunch over this much... Great footage and pictures!
Lovely images again. Have you modified your hide now? I remember you saying that you were going to make the platform a U shape to make it easier to get in and out of.
