I started racing Quarter Midgets when I was five years old. I won two national championships by the age of eleven. As an adult I've won in stock cars etc. The drive and passion neccessary to reach the highest pinnacle of success in this sport is beyond the compression of most people. Roy Winchel...
Ma erano le macchine più belle che abbia mai visto ognuna con una sua forma una sua fisionomia, 8 Ford Cosworth, 12 Ferrari, 12 Marra, 12 Alfa Romeo, 16 BRM, sound fantastic
It's fascinating to me that Speed decided to broadcast the "grindhouse"/"drive in" version with the Tom Pryce footage spliced in by the exploitative US distributor (which the original filmmakers had nothing to do with). I would have thought they would have had the wherewithal to obtain the original version, One By One/The Formula 1 Drivers.
Another version of this has an age restriction on it. As do many things where this is entirely unnecessary. The violent death of a marshal, uncensored, thats fine, but the other version has a 70s beach scene with - horror of horrors - a tiddie on view!! Gasp!! UA-cam has become incredibly shit and useless. I hope it dies and we get sth along the lines of what youtube was just a few years ago
That's been the case in media for years, Violence is fine, but curse words and adult content is not. Just look at the south park movie literally the hole point of it
Sounds like "Hey Man" from Stomu Yamashta's East Wind "Music from One by One." The album edits are somewhat different mixes from the actual film's soundtrack. EDIT: If you're referring to the intro song after the graphic accident sequence, it's "Superstar" from the same album.

The 70s were the deadliest decade ever. The tracks, cars and safety measures all combined to make the series the most deadly era ever. 👨⚖

I still haven't figured out how one movie can have so many different titles...
LOL! I posted this just in case the 'original' version of this movie wasn't on here anymore.
Because they added stuff like Tom Pryce's accident footage.
yeah it was called The Formula One Drivers, One By One, Champions Forever, and The Quick and the Dead. Just pick one lol.
On TubiTV it's The Quick and The Dead..
the film’s theme song was “Hey Man,” with music by Stomu Yamash’ta and lyrics by Sammi Abu, but the song is not credited in the picture.
Thanks for sharing this story...

This is that weird documentary, one version of which has dubbed over interviews, if I remember correctly.

Any know the name of the song playing at the very beginning?
Doesn't sound like a song, sounds kinda royalty free/adlibbed, but who knows...

Great soundtrack. I had to run out and locate it. Decades later I still listen to it.
