Video I shot near Pine Bluffs Wyoming of two International 1460 Axial Flow Combines cutting dryland wheat hear interstate 80. Also in the video is a Chevrolet C65 grain truck.
Always very nice to see old school machinery properly put to work and still looking as if it could go on for years yet. That's a nice old truck tending them as well.
You just can't beat the "old school" machines! That's why we will ALWAY have our John Deere 4440 & 4755. Great find and they are both in excellent shape. Thanks Mike for the footage.👍
Wow those are 2 of the nicest old school 1460’s anybody has filmed !!!! 👍👍👍
The 1460s were the innovated style and body of the modern day combines. These machines were very dependable and still are.
Great find Mike. It's hard to believe those machines are nearly 45 years old. They look like they could go for another 45 years.
I love the old IHC combines. Reminds me of the good old days
Combines this old in such good shape is a rare find. I’d like to find a combine like these to buy and use for nostalgia
Another great video from Farmhand Mike!!! Thank you for sharing these amazing videos!!!
You bet Mike , top drawer really class country side and epic old skool combining , harvest is GOLDEN , loved the finish in that field , the two IH gobbling up the last of the crop , heart warming video , old skool operation , shows you International Harvester , Axial Flow. That design was radical back then . More power to all involved, God bless all involved Happy Harvest 😎🚜🤠🤠🤠
You sure to get to see some beautiful parts of this country in your travels Mike. Thanks for sharing!
Grew up cutting wheat in pines bluff with my family back in the 70s and 80s. When we were done dad would always take us to Cheyenne.
Great video, Mike. I spent years riding in and driving a 1460 and 1480 growing up in ND. The whine of the hydrostatic drive is unmistakable and I absolutely love seeing a young man riding along around the 18:00 mark 🙂 thanks very much
Best wheat harvest video of 2020!
I worked in Pine Bluff in 95,96,97! It’s a Beautiful area with the Bluffs! Thanks Mike!!!
Awesome job on the video love the two case international harvester axel Flow 1460 combines nice job keep up the good work nice job 👏🙂
Nice to see 1460s still getting it done! Those 2 machines are real beauties.
Them old combines are still very slick. My Grandfather owned an IH 1480 for most of my childhood and would shell 200+ Bushel Corn no problem.
Grand pictures of these 1460s working!
Thank you very much for the video!
Awesome video. Love seeing the old machines and the different agricultural practices across our great nation
For fixing and repair these Combines you dont need a Bachelor of Microelectronic...only your hands...Nice Video as always Mike.Greetings from Eastern Germany
Very nice symbolic meet at the end, like the Golden Spike on the Transcontinental railroad.
Some great footage you got on this stop Mike. Thanks for taking the time to share this with me.
Just finished 1000 acres wheat with 2 1460's only been run in small grains, tins augars and sieves are like new. South Central North Dakota here. Thanks Mike!
Beautiful country out there, and sharp looking combines and truck to boot. I could watch them go all day.
Nice to see that older equipment, and truck. Thanks for video.
I grew up in Cheyenne and remember watching this from ground level as a child.
Great video mike. I live in pinebluffs there are a lot of incredible farms in this area. Hope you get to film more of them in your travels
Fantastic video, I just love watching these older machines do the job, they still look impressive . Hope that farmer is making money .
I been across I-80 many times passing through that same area. It all looks familiar. Thanks Mike.
I like the old style IH combines
Nice video mike less actually my grandpa used to use a IH axial flow 1480 for small grains in North Dakota
I know where a couple 1460s run much closer to home to ya in NW Ohio. Always a good day getting to hear that IH hydro whine.
Great vid👍I know fella near work with 1420 model love these old combines.
Like number 65. Thank you for sharing these videos. I feel like you're making these videos just for me. Keep up the great work. Learning a lot from your videos. Big fan from Washington state.
Thank you,
Your the best.
I really like this series of combines👍😁
Awesome video again mike, keep up the great work😉👍
You sure can see the new combines still copycat the old 1460!! I wore the seat out of one of those.
Wow Mike. Great catch. Those combines look amazing. The truck too! Are you sure you didn't enter the Twilight Zone and land back in 1980? Very cool!
I went on harvest on my summer break in high school. 80'-83' started around olustey? ok ended in cut bank mt. Pine bluff was one of our stops. Guy I worked for ran 760 and 860's mf. Good time and experience of life.
The ups driver didn't slow down to look at the combine, he slowed down to avoid startling the guy sitting on the edge of the road with a camera. Lol
lol or he was like is that Mike Less.
Great video Mike. Sounds like it is John deere country out there. Yellow green yellow green😉
I love the old tandem chevy grain trucks.
Hey Mike appreciate all you do! ... seen in our local county around north of Greenville the new CASE IH 150 series classic running in a field this past week. Didnt stop to take a pic but slowed down to get a good look. I'm sure you can figure out the farmer, maybe get a video of that machine too in the future. Thanks
We stayed in Pine Bluff in the early to mid 80's. We used 3 1480's
Thank you for sharing this great find
I slow down too when I see ole iron combines and them two some nice lookin 1460’s
Great Video Mike! These were an amazing step forward in combine design .
I do not understand the concept of summer fallowing. That was popular in north central SD when I was a kid but has been totally disproven as a good use of the land. Excessive erosion and it does not save much moisture It would be great if you get some land to video that is being farmed with the methods proven by Dwayne Beck and Dakota Lakes Research. They have gone to a never til system that got a lot of people to quit irrigating and others to stop fallowing and all other tillage in an area that has less rainfall than Pine Bluffs. It works because the yields have increased and thye get a crop every year with a lot less inputs.
Great memories for me. We ran a 1480 for many years here in the UK.
Great video!
In my opinion, those rigid headers on the combines, that’s how we always did it
I live in Pine Bluffs, and We farm close to Carpenter Wy. About 17 miles from Pine Bluffs. Someday you might have to come film a video at our farm. We have a Versatile 555, that was our Uncles. We have a 1460 as well, but cut these days with 9600 and 9510 combines.
my grandpa use have a 1460 international combine
Awesome machines, well done sir.
Awesome footage Mike !!
Nice video!
We used to have a 1480 oh great machine
This is the first I can say, hey I know exactly where those fields are. Funny thing is that they are 1000+ miles from home. I saw those fields on a trip out to Casper, Wyoming.
First to watch this great video, thanks Mike
Thanks for watching!
cool video man.
😄 ups driver’s know a great machine when they see one!
Nice
Another teriffic movie Mike.
Wish I was there too
Sweet machines
Nice video Mike!
Thanks.
I like your videos, from the 117 degrees imperial co California.
Great Video!! Love the Chevy farm truck and combines!! Why are the rows of wheat so far apart?
It’s called summer fallow when there’s a strip of crop and a strip of tillage ground
Thumb view, I though it was a post by Jason of a display. 🙂
nice video, nice 40 yr old equipment
Love the content keep
Thanks,
You found heaven on earth
Nice ol combine
Sure is
1010 heads? Looks so.
What exactly do you do for your job? I’m graduating this year and still trying to figure out what I should do and this looks interesting.
I’m actually not to far away from that I farm 30 minutes away from Torrington
Better go back as i recon they may have something special to plant with.
Good old monsters
Decime si hay una cosa más hermosa qué
estar cosechando trigo
Nada menos que con una Casse.
Belleza absoluta
How many miles do you travel every year??????
Do they not lose a lot of the moisture by working the fallow land so much?
How many acres were those strips? 40?
I live up there in cheyenne
Aw I was enjoying the sounds of the machines in action, then the muzak came on...😢
Mike - - in this area do you know what the average bushels to the acre is
As my ole dad would say. Look's to be cutting about 40 acers to the truck load. 😊 Don't think Mike replyies to acers worked and yield questions. But good luck anyway.
I didn’t wait long enough. I saw I the end of the video mike stated he never ask about yields or acreage. Oh well I got a ❤️ from him anyway
Just chock full of round up gotta love it!!! Not!!!
u tuber Where did you come up with that? Wheat dries down on its own. They don’t spray it to kill it to harvest. And I’m pretty sure Roundup ready wheat has never been approved.
Mike Less - Farmhand Mike there is always someone who crawls out from underneath a rock.
Sadly this person knows absolutely nothing about what they speak of. 🤨🤨
and u tuber just showed everyone how uneducated they are, nicely done
That was a terrible turn he made
I love Wyoming. Note: The (maybe insid'e jo'b) crime of 9/11 happened on the day 11, month 9. The 2 buildings were 110 stories tall. The U.S. govt says that the attacks were launched by 19 men. Numbers here are: 11, 9, 2, 110 & 19. And, when we open the Quran & go to part 11, chapter (Surah) #9, verse #110, we find it contains the root of the word building 2 times & the remaining verses in this chapter are 19. In Quran 2: 190, it is forbidden to hurt innocent people. But, 9/11 was the most famous news, therefore, no wonder for Quran to point out to it. Quran is the word of God.
The 1st human landing on the Moon was on the day 20/7.
Quran mentioned the word Moon in Arabic 27 times.
The 20th time exists in the Moon's chapter. The remaining times of the word Moon in the Quran =7. That = the day 20/7.
In Hijri, the Sunni Islamic lunar calendar, the date was 5 5 1389. The Moon's chapter in Quran is 55 verses, & there're only 1389 verses between its opening & the last verse in Quran. This is a proof for Sunni Islam because Hijri calendar was established by Umar, the 2nd Sunni caliph. Sunnis worship God alone. Afghan Taliban is a Sunni & it doesn't hurt war captives & innocent people. Its leaders are scholars of Islam, while ISIS & Al-Qaeda are ignorant of Islam. They need to be taught Islam by Afghan Taliban. Sufis & Shia e.g. Iran's govt pray to men e.g. Ali and his son Husayn ibn Ali. So, Sufis & Shia aren't Muslims.
