Not only for content creators, but also families needing a camcorder-like device to record family activities. I use my ZV-1 for this purpose and been loving it since. Record family vacation, and when I got home, transfer the video files to my dedicated external HDD I placed beside my TV, so we can watch it later.

I wasn't sure about this when I first got it but I am loving it! So small and light it makes vlogging with it fun! And looks way better than my iPhone 14 Pro.
Although I am new to this camera and unsure how to set it up to my liking, I love how it shoots straight out the box. Great video!!

I just purchased this camera and I learned a lot about this from this video. I heard it was great for beginners.
If JPGs are decent, this would be a super fun walkabout camera. New menu and touchscreen is great for on-the-go shooting. It's crazy small. 20/2 is creatively very satisfying. I'd love to take one out for a test drive. OH. Most importantly, it's adorable 🫠

Amazing review, appreicate that you truthfully went over all the cons of this camera which 100% influenced my decision to pass on this camera. No ND, no zoom, no 10-bit… yeah, no bueno. Fantastic video though, you’re the first place I go when new cameras come out 🎉

@@eventvideographyguide8506 those features are all in the $500 ZV-1 ... that's what they were comparing it to. The ZV-1 also shoots RAW, and isn't Contrast AF locked.
If you want 10bit 4k60 go gopro hero black 11 it has it but aware it takes a ton of computer power to edit on
Im more interested in the pancake lens although its a fixed lens, I hope sony releases this for the apsc line up to replace the 20mm f2.8 pancake which is an awesome lens but could benefit for letting in more light.

love the rx100, wouldn't mind a 11mm to 200mm with f2.8 for the entire focal length, but then, it would be too big, I'll settle for longer battery life

What does it shoot in as a webcam? 720? 1080? Other?
If you only need 4k video content for UA-cam and Tiktok, but we'll mostly be filming miniature sets (doll house size) - what camera won't disappoint for mostly tripod video but also once in a blue for video logging? Will this model do or do you have to go for an A7C? We don't want crappy, amateur 4k video obviously. I know that normally you'd want portrait/macro lenses for close-up detailed stuff?

@@CuckooCulture hey! yeah, that’s what I’m considering it for. I have a the Sony rx100vii that is nice but not quite as wide as I’d like. And this would be so much lighter than the big cam with the 20mm lens… I wish it had better stabilization though, seems it would need stabilized with catalyst browse software to look best. But there’s also a new Tamron 20-40mm f2 lens I’m looking at for the a7iv haha so now I gotta decide… Iol I’m camera obsessed, always hunting for the perfect cam!

so the cybershots from a decade ago are making a comeback in the form of zv1f or zv1 etc..... good thing i still have one - DSCHX9V ! 16x zoom 24mm to all the way to 325mm!!!! yes!!! 325mm fullframe optical zoom!!! oo yeah!!!

I have an A7c, I find my self only using it for the studio. And using my phone for Vlogs. Do you think it worth selling my a7c and getting this. Would the quality match the A7c in studio video but upgrade the quality for my Vlog.

Disappointing. The Sony RX100M5 is over 5 years old and it's still Sony's best Point & Shoot. They keep removing good features that enthusiasts like to cut the price down. I don't think that's a good strategy because most casuals will just use their phone. Taking away the features that make the enthusiast happy we'll just shrink the market for these kinds of cameras.

Does anyone know how to turn off the stabilization so the image is not cropped? I cant find the button that does that, my video still gets cropped when I start recording
Is the screen reader a newer thing that Sony is doing?
Sony might find it pointless, but designing an affordable compact APS-C camera with a viewfinder geared to compete with the FX100 Series would be nice.

Wish Sony will make a 1.5 inch 16-50mm f1.4-2 rx-100 style camera
IG and TikTok are using portrait orientation. that's why its more comfortable the create content with my smartphone. I also can edit it on my smartphone and store it there. and of course it is direct connected to the internet. so send it back and tell them to rethink there concept what a content creator needs these days.

Finally? This camera is worthlews, probably only exists to boost sales of the real cameras. Any channel that hypes it up loses a ton of credibility. Luckily we have camera conspiracies. I'm sure the review is good but i'm not gonna listen to it because of the title and thumbnail.
I still don't know whether to upgrade my a5000 to a zv1 zv1f or e10.
Solid budget option open box for 350. But man that audio was not great for something that it supposed to be an all in one option. Great video Jason!

Sony ZV-1F reminds me of the Sony HX20V, HX90V when the Sony Wx500, WX350 came out and they are the better of this camera
There are 40.5-52mm step rings already out there, that will make your wide attachment fit.

Sony should had designed the ZV-1 with 20-40 OSS lens, and add an internal ND filter, and call it a day. Now Sony has 2 products with neither meeting the base requirements...

it seems pretty obvious to me that without good image processing a 1-in sensor at f2, 8bit and no ibis does not really compete with an iphone with its new huge sensor, f1.8, better screen, multiple lenses and internal 10 bit and computational magic.
