About a rider, the company you are leased to gives you a piece of paper saying they approve of the rider, with their name on that paper. Some companies charge for the riders insurance some don't. If you run your own authority then you have to give that paper to yourself. But you must have the paper filled out before an officer ask for it if you have a rider.
If he puts you out of service for falsifying logs you would have to stay there for 10 hours then you would be free to go. Friend of mine got busted for falsifying in CT.
Technically to my understanding you can’t be fined till April but you can be put out of service for not being on eld they will just say you don’t have a log. And for the edge protector if you’re not handy go to uscargo.com

Well LFT you were all good and the bill of lading number, yeah okayit was missing but I dont think that would be critical IMHO. The mistake where you lost an hour in your driving time obviously was just that but man it really seems this cop was searching for something.... anything to try and give you a ticket but was having problems in finding something that would stick... amnd when they have to go to google to LOOK for something you know they just dont want to pass up that opportunity to give someone a ticket...lol As for the nervous and why you shakin bit, man that';s the oldest routine in the book to see how you react and to get you off balance and nervous...lol... maybe if you were smuggling drugs there would be something to worry about but man that's an old school tactic to throw smugglers off their guard, I swear to god that one is right out of the cops training book handout... We use Big Road with the dash link. I actually like it as far as e-logs go. The 5 mile yard move is a wonderful thing. :)

Depends on company some require 15 pretrip so by not dropping down after ur reset that's probably what he was talking about

Its just the opposite, Not put OOS until after April but you can be fined and written up now.
