Calico is likely referencing the Calico series of rifles and pistols manufactured by Calico Light Weapon Systems. These are distinct and unusual looking weapons that made a lot of appearances in 80s and 90s action movies. As this was a cut SMG, it was likely originally intended to be the 9mm Calico M950A submachine gun.

@@chillglobeit was pretty obvious that BO4 was what they started with when making cw just because of the fact the game launched with the exact same diamond camo glitch that bLack ops 4 had and fixed. The glitch was if an enemy had diamond equipped you’d be seeing them facing a completely different direction then they actually are on their screen. Like they could be looking right at you on their screen but on yours it looks like they are looking away to the side. Makes me think cw was started from a early build of bo4 plus a lot of the guns handle similar to the bo4 ones that fill the same exact role along with the ttk being a little faster but similar to BO4s.

The bullfrog is missing in this video and its the only other weapon that has the "50 round SMG" variant of weapon. The firing noise of the Bullfrog is also very similar to the BO4 Cordite which is what is what has the name "Calico" in the video.

I still prefer some of the alpha animations over the final animations, specifically the 1911, Beretta 93R, MP5, AK-47, Hauer 77, Type 821, and the M16. To me the final animations look stiff and devoid of style in comparison.

1)Avoiding copyright 2)Devs did not manage to add everything they want on release so they added it back with DLCs (or sequels) which is VERY common in game-dev; OR greedy-devs publishers intentionally cut some crap only to add it back (which became quite common in last decade)

How can I say it, in Cold War the animations have that MW2019 feel to them, the tactical type reload (I don't know how to describe it, basically the dude push the gun back and do that weird animation at the end where he looks like he locked in, idk), that is not present in the alpha

Hands are messed up because each CoD game may use bones with different orientations or add more bones that serve only to improve animation quality.
