If you'd like to see more hiking in the Canary Islands, you can check out this video from Liam Brown: ua-cam.com/video/jd6NBVJGkmc/v-deo.html He is a guy from the UK who makes videos about his hiking adventures. His videos are very different from ours - there is no music or anything; it's just him talking and hiking, quite slow-paced and raw. But you can get a feel for a place that way. In the video, he started on the islands of Lanzarote and Fuerteventura (which are the driest and, to be honest, not that interesting), and then he went to Gran Canaria (around 26.00), where he hiked up the same long, vast valley where we were staying, and then farther into the mountains. He got luckier with the weather and could even see the island of Tenerife from the top of Gran Canaria. But he also encountered fog and cold, so it was nice seeing him experience that as well. He then continued to Tenerife and finished in the area around Mount Teide, where we were last year. He is a backpacker, which means he hiked for more days and also slept in a tent on his hike.
Oh guys, we absolutely admire your tenacious motivation to achieve your hiking goals despite adverse conditions. Darren is so like you Tommy where his body temperature has a marked effect on his mood. It was such a gift though for you to be able to end the day on breathtaking scenery and that gorgeous sunset...❤
It's a nice feeling when you achieve the goals. Of course Tommy usually doesn't care about that when he is too cold or too hot 😀 Luckily there was the warm second half of the day with amazing views and the beautiful sunset 😊
Hello Peter and Tommy ! Thank you for these gorgeous walks. The landscape is stunning. Fortunately the second was warmer than the first, you are courageous to make it in such a cold weather without warm clothes...I wish you plenty of good time on your holidays, best regards from Paris to you both ❤
It's like the birds were putting on a concert for just you and Tommy!! And Tommy was right about the views being so stunning....just magical. The cloud covered mountain hike was downright scary, though, but glad you were able to complete it.
Hello guys .You have to make the most of the weather wherever you go ,but you are often rewarded by a sunset . When we lived in Cyprus the sunsets were always the best part of the day .
Yes, sunsets can be amazing! When we were in Cyprus, we got to see the sunset every day 😊 Here in the mountains in Gran Canaria the second half of the day was also amazing. We loved it 😁
I like having a “ diversed “ area to explore…makes your experience more memorable 😊 Tommy needs more body fat to adjust to the diverse conditions, he is too skinny❤ thanks for sharing..loved the sunset at the end🎉
Or more layers, but we didn't have more since it was a warm vacation, haha 😁 Luckily it got so much better, and we were rewarded by the amazing sunset. Glad you liked it, thank you 😊
Simply beautiful, words cannot describe the feeling you have on top of the mountains looking down over the valley, the sights sounds and smell of nature..
Simply fantastic! We heard in the background, musically speaking, the 4 seasons of Vivaldi, you didn't miss anything: clouds, rain but above all wind, a lot of wind, only a little snow was missing. We titled this beautiful video "Gone with the Wind" 😎
Yes, but then we wouldn't escape winter in central Europe, which is the main reason why we love to visit the Canary Islands 😁 The mountains were still gorgeous, we really liked our second hike 😊
Hi guys, I love watching your travel stories and listening to your commends, you're an amazing couple, the Gran Canaria breathtaking scenery is amazing, thank you, keep on filming and publishing your videos, thank you both. ❤
🇲🇽👋 Hola! Still it was an impressive achievement. Even if it was cold and wet and windy and there was no view! But we are scared of heights. so we have to close our eyes when you are stumbling at the edge😫. We love Tommy and Peter anyway 😂.❤❤❤
What a wonderful and beautiful place. Very unique, even the plants are very different. Beautiful vistas even with the adverse weather. A really nice video. When Peter mentioned dinosaurs because of the landscape, I was thinking the same thing. So unusual. Thanks for taking me along. You guys take care. See you soon. Tony
Love you guys. Would you consider going up the mountain tomorrow. Amazing views. Just find a place to go swimming. We are preparing to view the total solar eclipse on Monday. Thanks guys. ❤❤
"We should have stayed home" Seriously Peter? We know you love the challenges even the most dangerous ones. Poor Tommy subjected to the whims of a brat king. Revenge has to be terrible. It could be an ice water bath on the way back. Lol. Just kidding. As you say, trully top-notch views. That magical sunset was caprured with excellence. And yes, we also felt part of that wonderful experience. Thanks a lot for sharing. Kisses.
Hi Liliana. Tommy was not amused at all, but in the end he prevailed. And luckily it got so much better later 😊 Sadly no ice bath or ice-cold waterfalls on our hike. That would certainly be fun, haha 😀 Thank you, glad you liked the amazing views and the sunset. It was magical 😊
Ugh. I would have stayed home warm in bed. The 💊 wouldn’t have worked. And of course, it wouldn’t be a complete vacation without Peter almost getting blown off the mountain top. All for the views haha. Thanks for the video ❤❤
The Canary Islands are volcanic, and volcanos can be quite high. On the neighboring island of Tenerife there is Mount Teide which is the highest point of Spain - 3,715 m (12,188 ft) 😉
Peter, how could you be so mean to poor Tommy. Making him hike up in the cold, wet mountains. I'm just looking at Tommy. All huddled up, looking so cold. It gave me the shivers, just watching your video. Lol, but what You could see the island looks beautiful.
Well, Peter, thinking of dinosaurs you're not far off. Both Tenerife and Gran Cararia were filming locations for One Million Years BC in 1966 and When Dinosaurs Ruled the World in 1970. ❤❤
We did a tour of the property with the garden where we were staying in this video: ua-cam.com/video/bmUYvvG97u8/v-deo.html No balcony though, but nothing would beat the views that we got from the sunny side of the mountains anyway 😁

I think that is awesome that you can walk in the clouds. It is like being in the sky. Two angels walking in the heaven.
Sounds so mystical 😊 Only if it weren't so windy and cold 😁

Yes, and it was so amazing listening to the birds singing. It was such a great hike in the warm second half of the day 😊 Thank you 😉

Absolutely stunning views, perfectly edited 👌 and the sound of nature make me feel I'm with you there 😊
Thank you. So great that you liked being with us on the hike 😊
Awesome hikes! I would have opted for long pants on the cloudy morning. 😉
If only SOMEONE didn't change the plans while we were already sitting in the car 😂

Yes, so nicely said 😊 But we were glad the snow was missing, haha 😀
Next time come between the months of September and may is better weather not that cold in the mountains of Tejeda 😙
Yes, but then we wouldn't escape winter in central Europe, which is the main reason why we love to visit the Canary Islands 😁 The mountains were still gorgeous, we really liked our second hike 😊

Thank you, guys 😊 Heights are fun, and the views are even better 😁
Beautiful, thank you for taking me with you.
Happy you liked it, thank you 😉😊

Thank you, Tony! The terrain on the island is really unusual. We really liked that there were so many interesting places on the island 😊
What a wonderful adventure. I’m glad you shared it with us. Thank you.
Thank you, glad you liked it 😉
The first part of the hike was definitely better to be experienced on a screen... and preferably not in tiny tight shorts !
Haha, absolutely. But then the second half was amazing and it felt even better when it followed after the extreme cold 😁
The background at 19:00 is beautiful and looks like a painting,
It was gorgeous 😊
Love you guys. Would you consider going up the mountain tomorrow. Amazing views. Just find a place to go swimming. We are preparing to view the total solar eclipse on Monday.
Thanks guys. ❤❤
Good luck with the solar eclipse. Hopefully it will be amazing 😉 Sadly there is nothing here, oh well 😁

Haha, Greg. It's probably better seeing it just in our video 😁 The views were top notch 😊
I never thought a 'small' island would be that high. That is as high as Denver Colorado which is just about as far from the ocean as Czech Republic.

He is a tough guy, and he got the sunny and warm second half of the day, which was an amazing reward 😁😊
@@tommyandpeter yes he did seem so much happier, in the sunshine 🌞.
Well, Peter, thinking of dinosaurs you're not far off.
Both Tenerife and Gran Cararia were filming locations for One Million Years BC in 1966 and When Dinosaurs Ruled the World in 1970. ❤❤
Yay, that is so interesting. They definitely chose the right locations for that 😊
Any room tour and view from balcony?
We did a tour of the property with the garden where we were staying in this video: ua-cam.com/video/bmUYvvG97u8/v-deo.html
No balcony though, but nothing would beat the views that we got from the sunny side of the mountains anyway 😁
@@tommyandpeter hi guys my comment should go to different tournaments (not your) UA-cam mixed up im so sorry your all videos are nice 👍👍👍
