it's important to consider that the scoreboard never tells the whole story. a moira can put up absolutely ridiculous stats while not being that impactful in the larger teamfight. mei and tracer specifically are two characters who aren't supposed to light up the scoreboard. if you're absolutely dominating you can put up some really good stats, but generally the goal of those characters isn't "i'm gonna farm as much damage as possible"
I have a genuine question. Does damage matter ( like having a really high damage )? Because i once have played a hybrid map, and we got the 3rd point. but one of the supports blamed me because of my Dmg, ( I had higher stats than everyone on the enemy team expect dmg ) and when I told him it’s probably because I don’t get heals from you he said “10k healing lol” ( or smtg ) like bro I don’t care if you have high healing. I’m just saying that you don’t heal me . Sorry for yapping with bad grammar c:
Yup, Moira is guaranteed to get massive stats from orbs even if they feed all game. No stat tells the full story but I think looking at elims vs deaths is usually a better metric than raw dmg

This person is playing tracer better then a gold player, they take short off angles, don’t really just blink around in the open, have good target priority, know to contest people but not necessarily going all in during the 1v1s on off angles. The mei seems like it needs a little work but it will come with time
their tracer has good game sense but as someone who hovers in the gold/play area their aim isn't good at all. I notice the keep running into walls and it seems like their sens is lower than they'd normally be used to
Always love how people say aim comes with time, and then there's me with years into ow and a shit ton of hours into aim training and I still can't even hit a roadhog half the time (I wish that was a joke)

It’s like ego vods: they don’t the show full picture of how you react to many different comps and situations on many maps, it also doesn’t show every kind of headspace, decision making, or choices based off team composition. (Essentially, if you play badly during one game doesn’t mean you don’t belong where you belong. Bad games happen to everyone, and instead of worrying about how you messed up, it’s better to use the opportunity to learn from your less than perfect games so you can make it to higher ranks in the future (which is why I assume they sent in the game for vod review)) That being said: this very much looks like Gold gameplay, so I think you’re definitely somewhat near the correct current rank
I think I can relate to this person on some level. With how people constantly trash talk everyone for their rank, joke about "wood 1000" etc. It's all fun in general, ofc, but there's still some pressure you can feel. I sometimes tell myself I should only play qp after I get stomped in silver lmao. Also happened to me when I was in bronze, imagine what that does to your self esteem. Smurfs or not smurfs, it kinda sucks to suck in the lowest rank. There are games that are close, and then there are games when you can't do anything at all and just play respawn simulator. Me and those people on the enemy team, we are not on the same skill level even remotely. Which is really weird, since I've had games against gold players and they were all like, okay, moderately sweaty. Not like this. So the conclusion I tend to draw from these experiences is, either such enemies shouldn't be in my games and in my rank __at all__, or I am really too bad even for Bronze/Silver, I guess?
@@Iscoileachme the oft-repeated Counter Strike game tip is "Hey, sometimes your opponent is just having a good day." Memed to death, but also definitely true. Great Tracer but with Mei your walls don't have to be perfect. Even if they are just used for shielding so your team can survive they provide assistance. Try to recognize those instances next time you play her
I think he should have played closer to the choke on first point defence since mei is a menace if she plays behind that wall. If she walls of sigma zen would orb him, sym would beam through his grasp and Ana would anti him. This combination forces the enemy team to waste valuable resources to save sigma.
This is the best part about overwatch. You don’t win by getting the most kills. You win by being the best team. If you stay alive and push the objective, then you are doing good. If you are ignoring team and charging in when all your teammates are dead, then that’s bad.
I gotta say, I swear watching people play overwatch and me playing overwatch are like totally different things. Now I choose to believe when I play I just pick the worst positioning imaginable. But the tracer that's in gold in this play gets a lot of chances to harass the back line, float in out and, etc etc, If I try to harass the backline at all. (I'm also in gold) I swear the ENTIRE enemy team turns around and insta's me if I even THINK about shooting one of their players.
Today I ran into a hacker in role quickplay, i was reaper and they were sojurn, i knew they were hacking because they killed 4 of us with headshots in a row, when i checked the replay, i saw them unload a full clip at my zens head while he was behind a wall. Even while he was aimboting and wallhacking we won the game, even while the enemy team tank was orisa.
I have a question about widow, I'm trying to play her more in ranked and get flamed for having low damage, but I feel like I'm getting value because I have high kills and go for supports, is it just low ranks being obsessed with the damage number and I should ignore them or do I need to do something different.
So many possibilities. Maybe you're not providing enough value to win the match, despite some kills here and there. Maybe you are getting huge picks but your team isn't good enough to press the advantage. Maybe your damage is too low. If the other dps has 10k and you have 2k, that's likely a problem. But if you have 5k because you're getting one-shots instead of farming tanks that could be fine. At the end of the day, she's hard to pull off. Don't just blindly listen to low rank flamers, but if this is a pattern then there could be something to it.
@@johnh3611 it was the kiriko flaming me for having low damage but I probably shouldn't listen to him when I say next to him for like 10 seconds at 20 hp and he couldn't press one button to help me apply pressure again instead of farming the tank

how do i get better with aim i only get up to 40% accuracy with hitscan characters on my best games, and 46% with projectile characters and that means im still hitting less than half of my shots, how do i fix this? i know ive only played for about a year and a half but i think its the thing holding me back from climbing out of bronze, (either that or my teammates bc yk, low elo) most of my damage is from using the other abilities of characters (rat traps/mines) (ball piledrive and boop), but my whipshot on brig averages 60% accuracy, so im not really sure what makes that different
Aim isn't what makes or breaks your rank. 40% to 50% is pretty good, definitely not bronze level. It's more likely your target priority, positoning, or ability usage. When any of those are flawed, aim won't help no matter how good it is
