Wow, just wow! What an unusual vessel in really an in disturbed state. And such a depth! Magnificent videography and editing, it really puts the viewer right at the sea bed! Many thanks from Lake Tahoe, California!
What's amazing is how some ships submerged for dozens, even 100s of years can be perfectly preserved but others in different places can be so rotted away by the sea and the things living in it as to be almost unrecognizable as ships at all. Very professional dive and footage, great job, stay safe!
The Meg is one of the very few real "extreme" reb, had some dives at almost 650 FSW (195 meters) on Brandenburg's wreck, 8 hours dives with no problems at all.
If the rov get entangle somewhere, is lost, no way to enter into the er from outside, the only way is narrow and the internal passages are out of reach.
Congrats Massimo for the exploration. Beautiful wreck... Is it possible to organize a dive in SS Kreta?. Any news about Brandenburg wreck exploration?. Thanks ;-)
+Joaquin Gilabert Hi Joaquin, Brand.'s explo will be in summer 2016,we hope, but isn't sure at today (logistical problem). I'm sorry, but organize diving trips isn't my job,i live quite far from the site.
+Massimo Bondone Hi Massimo. Thanks for your answer... Can I participate in the Brandenburg exploration next summer?. I live in Spain, quite far from the site too ;)
Those are just ANTSI recommendations, you can push it far past that without running the risk of hypercapnia. Personally wouldn't tempt fate with it, but it is possible.
he used the big radial canister, in warm water (deco time was in 23 °C shallow water), as already said by others, it lasts more than 8 hrs without any trouble. the 3 hours limit is at 4 °C and hyperventilation, that's a standard test.
Hi, Massimo did 2 dives in 2017, not optimal conditions and logistical troubles stopped us to do more, you can see some shots here facebook.com/Naumachos/media_set?set=a.1033646766659081&type=3

Would be amazing to get an ROV into that engine room!

great vid....might want to slow down the frames with text. too fast to read, had to keep pausing
Looks like she went down stern first. That would explain the big hole and the damage
you are right, rudder and propellers are somewhere around there or buried deep in the mud.
Documento eccezionale complimenti a tutti
Fantastic, awesome, amazing video and hard dive!! wowowow

Sinceri complimenti ! impressionante !!
👍👍
How about scrubber time - max 3 hours??? Yet deco was 7hrs - did Massimo use another rebreather for deco? Or just OC?
Aegean Epiphany possibly not
My prism scrubber is rated 4 hours but in warm water easy to push to 7 or 8

Encroiable! Je dois apprendre le CCR.
Was that a Meg?
+Douglas Jones yes, slightly midified but that's a meg
Modified :-)
In what way modified please ?
+Douglas Jones Hi, +Massimo Bondone answered directly to you, he's the diver.
Sorry for the delay ... :-) i was using an hECCR Meg (h = hybrid) a standard Meg with fixed orifice, i usually drive the reb manually.
spettacolare!!
