  • With a love for the iconic Group B Audi Quattros, at 22 I was looking for something different to help me relive my nostalgia. I stumbled across a 1991 B3 Audi Coupe Quattro with a 5 Cylinder 20 valve engine that perfectly fit that bill.
At the time I was running Film Photography Fridays on my @AaronFleming UA-cam Channel and started living out the love for the early 90s that I had since I was a teenager. I couldn't have imagined the journey that would follow and that Retro Garage would one day become my day job.

Great car. I have the newer 80 quattro Sedan myself with similar bhp and i find it very enjoyable. I especially like the envionment in the cabin as it feels very modern and provides great comfort compared to other cars at the time. Great video indeed Sir

Had one back for many years from the early 1990's. The exterior and certainly interior looked different to most cars on the market at the time. Also, not many petrol stations even served unleaded and this was one of the first cars fitted with a catalytic converter. My Audi Coupe remains my favourite car - the quality, the solid looks, and practicality for its coupe looks. It may not be the best car for dynamics, but remains the best for being such a complete package. Nice to see you are taking such good care of yours, and I agree that steering wheel has a great look and feel - I loved mine too...

I have a cq from 1990 since 2010, I was 19 when I bought it. Has now 707k km on the clock, I drove around 400k with it in these years. I love it. Drive around race tracks, tow trailers with it. Interieur is nice and comfy, space is better than sedan. Grip is unbelievably good with the Torsen center diff. I also have kW v1 coilovers, some bigger brakes, bigger anti roll bar. In the rear you can use the urquattro (front) bar, it absolutely transforms the car and dials out almost any understeer tendency.
This year April I will make my first run on circuit zandvoort (besides oschersleben, Bilster Berg, Nürburgring) next year I want to drive at Cadwell Park and Anglesey.

I have many questions. 1. You were 19, so it's your first car, right?
      2. How often you need to fix something in it?
      3. How much money you spend in month on repair and service?
I'm asking, because I'm 19 now, and I'm dreaming about this car too, lol

@@khalashst in this 14 years maybe 8k€ but did everything myself. The cars were cheap to own, nowadays not so, parts become harder to find and more expensive. If you can do most of the work yourself it's still manageable. But don't forget, on a 35 year old vehicle there's a lot which can go wrong from time to time. But generally they are very robust.

@@khalashst in the beginning there was something to repair 3x a month, then a year nothing, than maybe 5 things at once... You never really know until you are at a point where most relevant stuff is all done at least once by yourself.

Amazing coupe!! Is the wood interior stock like this or is this a foil? Until now I only saw the other wood interior but yours is different and looks way better.

Thank you! The wood interior on this is stock and it’s real wood in this B3, the later B4 or facelift cars came with a different style of wood that looks quite fake

I have this exact Audi Coupe Quattro with the oem white pearl paint job and it's in really great condition. This video is super awesome to me because I want to start upgrading the suspension, fitment, interior, and so much more. I'd REALLY appreciate any tips at all for the kw coilovers and anything to help the build! For now it's my first car and i'm using it as a neat daily driver.

Whiteline rear ARB improves the handling, I would recommend 5 lug conversion to get bigger brakes - new JP Dansk big reds with A8-S8 discs Epytec have brackets and more. S2forum is a great place for info, DIY and potential upgrades. Good luck with your build

I bought a red 1991 coupe with the 2.0E 4 cylinder during lockdown in the north. Biggest issue I have with it is there is almost no parts for them anymore and don't have much mod-ability. I would love to get a 5 cylinder quattro model but they are nearly impossible to get now.

Great video and car, thank you for sharing. I have a 90 20v which I love. That has a factory fitted exhaust manifold. Fitting it should improve performance and sound! My car is cosmetically tatty on the exterior but mechanically sound! I have an old custom exhaust and it drones horribly 2k - 2.5k rpm. When you say you're considering adding a resonator, what are your plans? I've been giving this a lot of thought lately.

Why does the coupe have a turn signal in the fender, is that mandatory in Ireland? I have never seen🤔!

My 1990 90 20v has it too - it's standard. I'm in England, UK. The American version of the Coupe and 90 had the individual headlight/indicator setup from the 80, different front bumper and fog lights and no front wing/fender indicator lights. Also missing in the US is the red lens that surrounds the rear number plate. Presumably to accommodate a different sized number plate.
