Yes it is from FF XIII-2, GG :D ! The song’s name is “full speed ahead” but I’m already surprised someone had this ref x). Thank you for your enthusiasm ^^ !
love how you went from focusing on studying on certain aspect of matcha's art style a few at a time instead of just trying to learn everything all at once. i make that mistake all the time when trying to study another artist's stlye :')
Thank you for sharing your art journey, including your low points. I think I sometimes have the mindset that if I'm not always improving, I'm failing. As an artist, we are not alone in having off days and taking time to recover 🤗
Love your videos!! I personally struggle with art studies because I don’t understand an artist’ workflow, how they shade, do lineart, etc. This really motivates me to try again! :)
I’m really happy that I can inspire you to keep drawing ! It can be difficult to find a process that fits your style so keep experimenting to find what suits you the best ^^ !
i was watching this video normaly untill i saw the likes..... HOW AND WHY IS THIS SO UNDERATED YOUR EXPLAING AND PROSSSES IS SO GOOD AND UNDERSTANDING YOU DESERVE MORE LIKES AND WAYYYYYYYYY MORE SUBS
Thank you :D !! I only started youtube this summer so it'll come with time I guess. Also I still have a lot of things to improve in my videos but I'm really happy you enjoyed it anyway ^^ !
This is actually quite helpful because I want to study Matcha's art in the near future! she has the kind of style I want to achieve in the future. Tysm for the vid and your drawings are amazing :D
I'm glad I was able to help you :DD ! if you're talking about direct light on the hair, matcha often uses warm and bright colors close to skin tone. If you want to, you can send me your study of matcha on my discord and I'll try to give you some advice ! My disc is "shirowoolf."
im pretty sure matchach is chinese, alot of her fans come from china and she has a bilibili (chinese youtube basically) and im pretty sure she spoke chinese on there
U earned a subscription man. Ur content is greta with the editing, art and content. A few tips tho, the avatar could be 4-5 main drawings (like how emirichu does it) This draws attention away from the png and more to ur gorgeous artwork. Also, some parts were abit cringe but i actually like it. U did a great job❤
I loved the study! Just one thing though I thought matcha is a Chinese artist because she posts a lot on bilibili/other Chinese social media and also has collaborated with bilibili once
Thank you ^^ ! It’s because she speaks both japanese and chinese but I think the name of the brushes she uses I found were in japanese, which is why I thought she is japanese but after thinking about it you’re probably right (bc why would a japanese use bilibili xD ?), so sorry if it’s the case 😵💫
@@kozuro_art don't be sorry it's perfectly fine and the confusion is understandable haha, after all Chinese socmed is kinda shut off from the rest of the world and Matcha is very fluent in both CN and JP 🤗🤗
@@kozuro_art also wanna add more that I absolutely like the tips you gave for artstyle studying in general! I adore matcha and many other artists I'd love to learn from so this was a very insightful watch :D
watching other people do art studies is always so refreshing, knowing that its difficult for yalls too; im tryna lesrn yeurei's artstyle but the shading confuses the living hell outta me✋😭
Yeah yeurei has a complex shading style with a lot of bounce light. If you haven't already seen it, this Marco Bucci video might help you understand how lighting works in yeurei's artworks : ua-cam.com/video/gwLQ0cDb4cE/v-deo.html ! Hope this'll help, and don't give up 😋💪 !
Rendering is one if not the most complex thing in illustration making. The thing is that the rendering has to change depending on the material you're painting, so making a complete tuto about it would be quite long x) (but I might try one day). However, for now, I can advice you to really try to focus on what type of material you're painting, and the best advice I could give you is to use references during this process (it could be for anything from textures to how light interacts with certain objects, etc...) ! Also don't forget to mix soft and hard edges depending on the material and its 3D shape. This is pretty much all the advice I can give you in a comment x) but if you really wanna see the basics here's a Sam does arts' video which can teach you some pretty solid stuff : ua-cam.com/video/f0r5-f87YK8/v-deo.html Hope this helps !
2:32 is this from FFXIII2? 🥹
Sounds like Last Hunter, but I'm not sure
Also omg, Matcha is one of my favorite artists! This study was so cool to see!!

OMG SO HAPPY SOMEONE FINALLY TALK ABT THEM
Haha I hopped someone would say that ! I've always looked for people explaining her process and I knew I wasn't the only one loving her art style ^^.
love how you went from focusing on studying on certain aspect of matcha's art style a few at a time instead of just trying to learn everything all at once. i make that mistake all the time when trying to study another artist's stlye :')
Haha, I learned that from that 1st study which took me 6 hours just to do the face xD, just keep drawing that's the most important thing :D !

awesome video. however, matcha is actually a Chinese. I know it might be confused, cause she always posting in Japanese.
Ooh ok thank you for these precisions because I wasn't 100% sure of her nationality since I didn't find any clear info about it !
