Same here ; my first heroic dose was my initiation into the craft and the beautiful part was that it was with my family in nature who we also have ties to the craft through our bloodline. It’s a trip how the mushroom & other psy’s are really a vocal point to other peoples start on their journey.
I met my matron when I was on mushrooms as a college freshman about 10 years ago, a couple of months after I first started getting into tantric yoga. After going to the forest, smoking a chillum beneath a big beautiful tree, and starting to repeat a mantra, the sky opened and I opened, and above and below merged. She appeared as a voice emanating from all-pervasive light and bliss, and put three years of severe trauma during high school into perspective, and gave me a sense of purpose and direction.
This is beautiful. I have had other experiences on mushrooms during which some traumatic experiences... they weren't wiped clean, but they were put into a perspective that helped me move past the trauma so it could be an experience of learning and strengthened resiliency. Mushrooms are healers.
Yoga is so energetically uplifting! I broke my foot last year and couldn't do much for a while, just a bit of floor work. I made the most of it, but it really threw me out of whack and made me realize how important yoga was for keeping me balanced.
Cool story, thank you for sharing! 💓😸 I've never tried shrooms, but I have experience with Ayahuasca and went on a ceremony two years ago. It was beautiful and I'm grateful for the experience though the people there were negative and had zero connection with them. Maybe because It wasn't the original Peruvian ceremony, I don't know, but I'm not going to do it again with that same organization. To me, such plants are Portals and one should be respectful with them- it's not just a pot with water and grass to drink and get high. The experience you had was a real deal, 'm happy for you!💖💖
I'm envious because an Ayahuasca ceremony is on my bucket list! But that's part of the reason I haven't gotten around to it yet, you have to be careful which organization you work with. If you end up finding one you like, please send me an email and let me know who you go with!
Reminds me somewhat of the Teachings of Don Juan Castanda. I would be curious to know if you have any thoughts/experiences with ley lines-this is a very fascinating subject.
I find it interesting that you had an experience that you thought was spiritual when you were singing gospel but later realize it was the shared experience with those around you and not a connection to a god. Interesting. That makes so much sense to me. Your shroom experience was very much like my peyote ceremony. I did go looking for it though. Mine was a big weekend long medicine ceremony with a Dine’ roadman.
That's incredible! Doing a peyote ceremony is on my bucket list. Making that realization was so eye opening. I started to ponder over the collective unconscious and whether WE are all god collectively. Which, although the idea of a one supreme God seems to be an easier concept to wrap the mind around and accept, the other possibilities just made more sense to me.

Thank you for sharing this! It seems like a really beautiful way to get into the craft. :)
I attended a yoga class in college and since then I’ve been amazed by what energy work can do to my body and mind.
