Looks beautiful ! I recommend adding some quality tape and also double the foam seal up any visible gaps , quality tape will be easy to remove come winter. Thanks for the video !

I got 2 of these exact ac units last summer to cool our homes lower level without any complaints at all. The only issue is having to clean the inside to rid mold build up but from what I gather most window ac units will develop mold over time.
For performance wise I definitely recommend it!

"from what I gather most window ac units will develop mold over time" - Nope, only ones that don't drain water because they don't have drain holes and let a big pool of standing water build up inside them. Like this one. And yes, it can cause odour problems. It also makes clicking noises as the water slaps off internal components, and is very likely to back up and dunk onto your floor when you uninstall it.

So this Midea u shape unit does not have a water drain hole?
If so, can you just drill a hole towards the end of the unit?

Is it possible to turn those vanes inside the air outlet so that you can direct the air more to the left or the right of the air conditioner? I need them to point to the left (as we are facing it) since the window is over near a corner of the room.

Yeah and you can adjust each side separately.

@@monsoon733 thank you. A friend found the owner’s manual online and we realized the air current can be directed. I ordered one online and it was delivered yesterday.
