    Hi. I just came across your videos last week. And I always thought Facebook ads was so complicated and daunting. But I get it now. I'm a professional art Dad and with these strategies I've gotten $300 in sales over the past 3 days. And the ads that are getting sales have a 22% profit margin, including my expenses for production and shipping through printify. I get the big picture now. Thanks!

    Thank you so much for your insights and encouragement. The fact of the matter is,
    It is not “easy” money, it’s work but work you’ve got to be willing to do. And one of the things you once said was that you had many, many failed designs before you worked out what works. And that’s just how business is, it’s try and try again. Thanks for all you do Shimmy it matters and is appreciated!

    Hi Shimmy. I really appreciate this video and I see you answering so many comments, which is awesome. I was professional designer and animator for over 20 years. So you'd think POD would be a natural transition for me but no. I have been struggling to get off the ground for almost 2 years. I never make more than the occasional sale but most everyone seems to be happy with what they buy. I have 130 sales with over 60 5 star reviews which I understand is a pretty high rate of reviews. With so much information coming at me from all the youtube gurus and my lack of success I do feel stuck. But it is hard to gauge or even understand where I am going wrong.

    • @shimmymorris1
      @shimmymorris1  Місяць тому

      Of course! I try and answer everything. It sounds like you can make designs and honestly that is the hardest part... That's probably the only step that is subjective... everything else can be specific step to follow. 130 sales is awesome! and getting 60 reviews is incredibly hard with that number of sales so nice one!

    I love your channel. My store has front only designs and I use Gildan 6400. Monster Digital. I have inside neck tags. I did this because it has my brand. I think this is important since designs and shirts have no brand. No one would know where shirts come from when they want more. Should I keep neck tags or remove. Does that slow down printing? Let me know what you think. Also. I made decision to just focus on tshirts. Front only design. $26.99. All Shopify only with goal of driving meta ad traffic.

    Print on demand is not a “side hobby” if you want to make real money. It’s a small business that you start from the ground up.

    Shimmy, really appreciate your honesty and the truths about POD. Most YT on POD never want to divulge these truths and instead hide them by lying and selling on the idea of easy money in days or weeks! They like to brag by showing the fake financial reports or accounts!!! That's truly annoying and misleading indeed. Now, having understood setting the correct expectations about POD, no more get-rich-quick kind of mentality and hopes. Reality really sucks!

    I never succeeded with a niche. Each time I choose a niche that I think will work and have low competition my designs don't sell or don't even get traffic. But when I choose a product and search for best sellers and do similar designs and use the same tags I got a lot of favourites and some sells. So I ended up searching for best sellers products each week instead of just creating an original design that is from my own creativity. And this is exhausting and cost me to pay Etsy search tools each month to keep searching for new best sellers. What am I supposed to do then? This part of the pod is tiring for me

    • @shimmymorris1
      @shimmymorris1  Місяць тому

      I always recommend picking one niche, then finding the best sellers in that niche... I don't think you should try to be original at the beginning as at the beginning you just need sales... we sprinkle in some original designs into proven best sellers. This is on Shopify... if you're selling on Etsy then don't worry about the niche

      @@shimmymorris1 I am selling on Etsy. And the niche stuff doesn't help at all. For example the teacher niche is only trending some period of the year. I thought about a yoga niche to attract mothers but again the best sellers are few and some designs are trendy for 5 months and after another best sellers design comes out. And I keep running behind the best sellers items to create my design. İt is exhausting

    Well, you say that it is not saturated because otherwise, you would be left without people to consume your content. So, it's understandable, but I can't trust your opinion on this. I can only look at the graphs, and they have been saturated and declining for a long time.

    A person can create an FBA video illustrating their business failing using the analogy of a rope breaking.
