So grateful for you and your honesty. If it wasn't for that, I would have thought it was just me and started taking it personally... It shocks me you haven't hit 100k yet bc your tutorials, lessons, videos, etc are the best. Thanks Shimmy!!!!
Hi. I just came across your videos last week. And I always thought Facebook ads was so complicated and daunting. But I get it now. I'm a professional art Dad and with these strategies I've gotten $300 in sales over the past 3 days. And the ads that are getting sales have a 22% profit margin, including my expenses for production and shipping through printify. I get the big picture now. Thanks!
You're extremely transparent and a great helper and teacher. I appreciate your hard work to encourage and be a great catalyst, to help others succeed. Bless your soul brother.
Thank you so much for your insights and encouragement. The fact of the matter is, It is not “easy” money, it’s work but work you’ve got to be willing to do. And one of the things you once said was that you had many, many failed designs before you worked out what works. And that’s just how business is, it’s try and try again. Thanks for all you do Shimmy it matters and is appreciated!
Hi Shimmy. I really appreciate this video and I see you answering so many comments, which is awesome. I was professional designer and animator for over 20 years. So you'd think POD would be a natural transition for me but no. I have been struggling to get off the ground for almost 2 years. I never make more than the occasional sale but most everyone seems to be happy with what they buy. I have 130 sales with over 60 5 star reviews which I understand is a pretty high rate of reviews. With so much information coming at me from all the youtube gurus and my lack of success I do feel stuck. But it is hard to gauge or even understand where I am going wrong.
Of course! I try and answer everything. It sounds like you can make designs and honestly that is the hardest part... That's probably the only step that is subjective... everything else can be specific step to follow. 130 sales is awesome! and getting 60 reviews is incredibly hard with that number of sales so nice one! Feel free to reach out so we can chat more
Oi Jose eu estou pensando no mesmo. Nao e tao comum no Brasil. O cambio atrapalha. Teria de ter um firma como printify or printiful ai no Brasil. Ainda nao achei uma. Queria fazer designs de cada estado e com coisas bem Brasileiras como xodo.
I love your channel. My store has front only designs and I use Gildan 6400. Monster Digital. I have inside neck tags. I did this because it has my brand. I think this is important since designs and shirts have no brand. No one would know where shirts come from when they want more. Should I keep neck tags or remove. Does that slow down printing? Let me know what you think. Also. I made decision to just focus on tshirts. Front only design. $26.99. All Shopify only with goal of driving meta ad traffic.
Hey I am brand new (just uploaded my forst design yesterday) to PoD. Ive been watching the Greg Gottfried fellow as a guide so far and then came across your insightful video that brought more clarity to his claims. Now I feel a little unsure of direction. Is there a particular platform, market, approach that you find to be most worth the time?
Print on demand is not a “side hobby” if you want to make real money. It’s a small business that you start from the ground up. If people aren’t willing to work hard at it, they really do need to give up. It’s not a get rich quick scheme.
Shimmy, really appreciate your honesty and the truths about POD. Most YT on POD never want to divulge these truths and instead hide them by lying and selling on the idea of easy money in days or weeks! They like to brag by showing the fake financial reports or accounts!!! That's truly annoying and misleading indeed. Now, having understood setting the correct expectations about POD, no more get-rich-quick kind of mentality and hopes. Reality really sucks!
Good day Shimmy, I literally gave up last Oct, confused as to which part of the product journey went wrong..... not sure if it's worth it. I used to do E-commerce way back in 2018 with Shopify. I can relate to you, there are too many Gurus on UA-cam, who make sales look so easy, as though it's a piece of cake.....😄
My wife's client is a dropshipper who provides mentorship as well. They test products utilizing dropshipping and then transition to ecommerce (holding stock) when profitable. He claimed that POD is more difficult than dropshipping products from China.
@@shimmymorris1 POD may not be his cup of tea. I hope you hold a contest for your subscribers in which the prize is a membership. It might also be an excellent series to test how a random subscriber does when mentored.
have not given up but....but, I am not from the listed countries on the majority of the relevant platforms. The banks here are still in the dark ages so I have paused the launch just to get things sorted. I WANT to do this! I KNOW it will work. Just the back end that needs to be set up properly or my profits will get stuck. Love your content!
kinda same for me. I'd suggest starting from small ones that still works in your country and then stepping up your game once you've gained experience on the markets, designs and customers. I'm doing the same, let's see how it turns out
Now I am spending more time doing "mockups', collections, and revising products to un hide them, instead of creating, And my so-called sales are dismal. Trying to do more pinterest, all I can do. Im not gonna spend any money "promoting" items that I now have to sell for rock bottom earnings. Zazzle what happened, and can you change it back ? We are all missing sales, therefore you are too.
I never succeeded with a niche. Each time I choose a niche that I think will work and have low competition my designs don't sell or don't even get traffic. But when I choose a product and search for best sellers and do similar designs and use the same tags I got a lot of favourites and some sells. So I ended up searching for best sellers products each week instead of just creating an original design that is from my own creativity. And this is exhausting and cost me to pay Etsy search tools each month to keep searching for new best sellers. What am I supposed to do then? This part of the pod is tiring for me
I always recommend picking one niche, then finding the best sellers in that niche... I don't think you should try to be original at the beginning as at the beginning you just need sales... we sprinkle in some original designs into proven best sellers. This is on Shopify... if you're selling on Etsy then don't worry about the niche
@@shimmymorris1 I am selling on Etsy. And the niche stuff doesn't help at all. For example the teacher niche is only trending some period of the year. I thought about a yoga niche to attract mothers but again the best sellers are few and some designs are trendy for 5 months and after another best sellers design comes out. And I keep running behind the best sellers items to create my design. İt is exhausting
One thing ive been thinking about is getting viewers once u open an insta or tik tok account. Do you reckon buying few followers in the beginning would help to boost that approach? Combined with the effort of ads and posts of course. Thank u very much

If you are building a brand (Shopify) do custom tags. If you are building a shop (Etsy, Amazon Merch) don’t do custom tags.
