"I recently completed the Ha Giang Loop, and it was truly the best travel experience of my life! The stunning landscapes, winding roads, and welcoming locals made every moment unforgettable. The sense of adventure and freedom on this journey is something I'll always cherish. If you’re considering doing it, don’t hesitate-this trip is absolutely worth it!"
Great video about Ha Giang loop. thank you so much for sharing all of your expriend. also thank you so much for coming also. 5 year ago, Ha Giang have nothing, with no custommer, no traveler, no work to do, ... everyone supper poor. but now more people come back and do the work in Ha Giang, they come back from Bình Dương, Hồ Chí Minh city, Hà Nội .... someone come back from China also.
It was truly amazing being there!! It's very nice to hear that Ha Giang province is starting to flourish and more work is created :) Will be back soon! What other adventures would you recommend around that area?
Hi Madie. I have so many questions😅! I have booked Hanoi in August specifically for Ha Giang Loop. 1) how did u get from airport to Ha Giang? Do u recommend that instead of staying a night in the Old Quarter? 2) as a solo female and in my 50’s, would I feel out of place? Can’t seem to find any vlogs or blogs re: my age demographic doing the loop. Can’t help but think if I’m way over my head sometimes. 3) I like to pack light (7kilos, no checked in bags). What essential pcs of clothing shd I bring? 4) i heard mixed reviews about Jasmine i.e, groups too big, so-so food, etc. Any other small local agency I shd look at? Happy to have watched ur ha giang vlogs. Thanks for reading this.
Hi there 👋🏼 So happy you’re going on this experience, you’ll have a great time! 1) I took a cab to Hanoi old quarters and the best way it to order one or Uber or grab since you’ll know the price, normally the cabs outside will be overpriced. If you book it with a tour company they normally offer transportation to ha Giang from Hanoi for a small price. 2) the demographic is slightly younger but I think any people at any age can and should go! It will be a bit of drinking and social time plus you’ll be sharing bigger dorms with everyone, but you’ll have a good time and get to know your group very well. 3) make sure to check the weather but bring something slightly warmer and maybe a few lighter tops/bottoms so you can layer your clothes and also take off if the weather is warmer. I would bring a wind & rain proof jacked, warmer shirt, long pants, shorts, T-shirt and a top. Also bring something you’ll be comfortable to wear at night and for dinner etc. 4) I loved going with Jasmine hostel and had a great time so they are the ones I would recommend. Buffalo hostel also offers but think it’s even more of a party vibe with them. Not sure about other small local agencies but do a google research and check reviews to find the best option for you. Let me know if you have any other questions ☺️ hope you’ll have a fantastic time!!
If you don't want to be with 19 year olds getting drunk do NOT go with mama's, Jasmine, or buffalo. Mama's is around 50 ppl in one group, and Jasmine is around 100 people divided in groups, but u will all see eachother at the same hostel and thus dont expect a good night sleep. I went solo on the loop and the most fun groups I saw and met were the groups that were under 10 people. They are way more authentic and you will enjoy the scenery more with like minded people.
@@akira8817 hi! I'm exactly looking for groups of smaller size (under 10, or even less would be better. honestly I don't even mind doing it completely alone.) do you have any recommended hostels or agencies?
I am Vietnamese 🇻🇳 What are you nationality? Are you love Vietnam ? I hope you have an idea how much you enjoy traveling in Vietnam the most in the world
That's amazing! I have not done that one myself but looking at it, it might be quite similar. Different countries, different views and atmospheres. I would 100% recommend to do the Ha Giang Loop :)
The amount of people is horrifying. I did this back in 2016 and we were literally the ONLY foreigners at Dong Van market, and met practically no other tourists on the loop. I'm planning to do it again this coming March, but these videos are making me concerned about just how flooded with tourists it's become.
Wow yes I can imagine that it is very different from when you last where there. As with all the places around the world, if it has something amazing to offer it's just a matter of time before more people get to know about it. Even tho there was a lot of other tourists there I still had a fab time. Depends on what you're looking for, but if you want to experience the beauty of northern Vietnam again and are open for a slightly different experience, then I would recommend you to go again! I loved my time there and I don't usually like "touristy stuff" :)
Yeah you see this group in so many videos. Definitely a quantity over quality thing. I plan on doing the Ha Giang Loop later this year but I'll just do it on my own.
I saw many people doing it on their own but I found going through a tour company you got to meet so many amazing people, they took care of the logistic and I had a really good experience :) Have you been to Vietnam before and kinda know you way around there? :)
@@madeleineaabo You're correct that you will meet more people by using a tour company. I feel like I am fairly familiar with the country now. Late last year I motorbiked with a friend from HCMC-Hanoi over three weeks. I loved it so much I'm going back again in November for about two months. Some friends will be joining me for parts but it looks like most of it I'll be solo. If you ever decide to do a route through the country, let me know and I can share some pins I dropped for some good swimming spots along the route. Edit: I should note that my comment above wasn't meant to imply anything inherently wrong with choosing a tour. They're just not for me. I prefer making my own schedule. As far as routes go, I'd recommend the ones from Tigit Motorbikes. I followed their guide last time and it was great. If you haven't seen it yet, go travel the Ho Chi Minh Road. It's the best driving in the country, imo.
As you say tours is not for everyone and I'm happy you feel confident going on your own so you can pick and choose your stops along the way! I'm planning on heading back at some point too and will probably do the loop by myself then so I can go to different places and explore things I didn't get to see :) It's all about what each person are looking to get out of the trip! Will for sure hit you up if I'm heading on that route, it's always amazing to get some recommendations from people that have done it before! I loved Vietnam and can't wait to go back! Have you tried other destinations around Vietnam that you can recommend? :)
That was short, concise and mucho informative. Glad I clicked. Thank you.
Looking to do this early Feb. 🤗

I’m so happy to hear that you had the same amazing experience as me 😍 it is truly beautiful there and so much fun!!

Planning on doing the tour this December with Cheers Hostel! 😊
Hope the weather is in my favour then 😅
jasmine tour. Ha Giang Loop is always ready to welcome you to us🥰❤
Amazing so happy you're doing it! Have to let me know what you thought of it after :)
You made it. I just had to skip Ha Giang due to bad weather. I hope next trip will have a change to do this loop.
Yes unfortunately weather gets in the way sometimes... You should definitely go back! Do you have plans on going back to Vietnam?
Your video turned up on my feed. Keep up the great work! 👍👍
Glad to have you here! :D
So stunning !
It's absolutely amazing! Have you been? :)
Hello thanks , you come to in ha giang loop 😁😁I’m wworking in ha giang toi
It was the best experience in my life! Glad to hear you're working around there :) What do you do?
I am Vietnamese 🇻🇳

I've done the Mae Hong Son Loop in Thailand anybody know how it compares
That's amazing! I have not done that one myself but looking at it, it might be quite similar. Different countries, different views and atmospheres. I would 100% recommend to do the Ha Giang Loop :)
@@madeleineaabo I fly to Hanoi in March to do it. Looks better than the one I did in Thailand last year.
So what time of the year is that?
This was in February :)
Superrrrrrrrrr
Duperrrrrrrrrr

Right now, Ha Giang, the city is crawling with white people. If you've done this once, I wouldn't recommend it again.
Im doing it this January

The worst and tourist trap tour. Ha Giang has far better tours companies. That just the tourist trap route
