Regarding the discrepancy with the 4 vs 8 controllers connected at once. Intellivision actually did market research a week before that video was filmed and concluded that 8 is a bigger number than 4.
100% that Tommy wrote the text on the box! It has his fingerprints all over!

This sorta has the same vibe as those "fake Wiis" from the mid 2000s that you could find at Dollar General or Family Dollar. The Awiico, if you will.
In 6:48 u can see the reason for the bulge and the sleeve warping out is the controllers sitting in the dock doesn’t have enough clearance to allow the box lids to close. If u look at the blue top edge side u can clearly see there’s about an inch of clearance and the box lids are being pushed out, also reference the foam imprint of the controllers showing uneven imprints further proving the box lids never lay flat
Idn but showing a box that cant function right, might be the worse sign imo, after 3 years of design they don’t even have a perfectly designed show piece. Money, time, smarts or even care are clearly lacking in a massive way, to the point the only real new thing in this video is that poorly designed box after going into a quiet period
Especially weird about Skiing missing is that it was developed in Germany, where Hans is showing the unit off... So was Farkle, another missing pack-in game.

Okay, that bit at 16:31 is... uh... wow. Where to even start with that? That one just BY ITSELF should be an enormous red flag about the entire bloody project. The system needs "time to calculate?" In what is a very basic physics game? It freaking shouldnt need that! The bloody Wii didnt need that! And the Wii is freaking OLD now. Two generations ago! Yet this silly gizmo here, intended to be on the same bloody shelves as the Nintendo Freakin' Switch, needs "time to calculate?" Like, I could do this very same sort of thing in actual virtual reality and it'd be smooth as butter with zero delay. That's how far things have come since the Wii. Yet this thing, this big crowdfunded whatsit, cant even handle something so very basic. There is one argument you could make, which is "well it's not the DEVICE that's the problem, it's the game" and that COULD be true, but... that presents a very similar giant red flag. These are the games they're using to sell the bloody system... and they arent made well enough to do something that aint exactly hard to pull off?
Whether it's a matter of the system not being powerful enough, or the game being made badly... either of those (or both at once!) creates a huge warning sign that should be telling people that this whole thing aint gonna end well.
Of course, some wont be listening to that. You know the sort.

Bluetooth's current maximum is 7 devices at once. Also, how are physical products with no actual physical games inside of it considered games? It was so much wrong with this video that it comes off as very shady at minimum.

Good review. I have been watching this whole drama unfold. This was a huge improvement without Tommy. But too little too late. This is not an boxing of a system that was supposed to be ready for release. This was a royal mess! But I did appreciate your more calm controlled take on this.
I have some great advice for Tommy: renew your passport, stuff as much cash as you can into a suitcase, and flee the country!

Great video; I would add another nitpick at around the 9:43 mark. If you look at the edges of the quick start guide, it literally looks like it was just printed off a standard printer and cut out with scissors (you can see some red around the edges)...again, not very professional.
Best unboxing review I’ve watched and I’ve seen a lot of them! I appreciate your approach not being hateful and was factual! I don’t consider myself a hater nor cult member and am fascinated by the Amico and this wild ride we are on. 😉. Love to see it come out my optimistic side but the realist in me also can not ignore these red flags and inconsistencies. Keep up the great coverage!
I didn't see a big delay when they were playing corn hole.
2:02 I actually don't recall any console boxes ever being shrink wrapped. I thought they just had a factory seal or sticker over the tabs when they're brand new.
Good point, but with the sleeve, I believe it would have to be shrink-wrapped to secure the sleeve to the box. I could be wrong.
@@thenosweargamer1449 That bulging sleeve is going to get caught and mangled so often during shipping and shelving...
@@thenosweargamer1449 that's true. I suppose if you're going to have a cardboard sleeve like that than its going to warrant having shrink wrap to protect it.
my guess is that the empty space in the lower part of the box is where the controllers are suppose to go... it would not be wise to ship them cradled without some form of padding....

@@logicalraptorsfanatic so you think the controllers will be packaged in their cradles with no padding?... my point being we can't really trust anything that was said... if i am right and the controllers go in the space in the lower part of box... John can't say this... or else it proves this was not an actual unboxing...
@@peteroliphant7289 no offence I will take the word of the guy in the actually unboxing vid, I only go by wat they say and they said the opposite about that space, I think they think the foam on the box lids are enough to hold down the controllers, but clearly that wouldn’t work

Because as stated and shown by intellvision show and says other wise, be a real friend and tell them the issues before they make a public mistake and it’s clear and easy things to see and fixed, it shows very little care from ur friends and as a real friend let them know

I agree on much of this. "Look well" and "look differently" are grammatically incorrect, however, particularly for someone who is so picky about typos and poor translations (rightfully so); it's "look good" and "look different".
The haters are even anti-box now, just because Tommy is an unsurpassed genius in the world of boxes. When will the madness end?
They just oppose innovation. Battle Tanks even has DIFFERENT MODES (really cool’ - TT), but all we...er they..can do is laugh.

It's too bad they didn't focus on quality over quantity. Amico reminds me of those 501 game carts. Where every game is terrible. If I was in charge it would have come with 1 game and its the best the console has. The franchise game. Like Genesis coming with Sonic.

@@subtledemisefox Ya they only need one game to sell this console. I would Drop the different colors and mini games. Instead focus and release a "Cloudy Mountain" collectors edition Amico and it go viral. I'd pay $700 for that.
The box looks like a generic box that they put a used system in at Gamestop. This does not look like a new system that costs almost $400.

They were BARELY even trying to make it look like they had a real product. There was no spell check and no proofreader.
The statements done even come across as having good grammar or making sense!

Beyond the silly mistakes and nitpicks, it's egregious to pawn this off as retail unit. It's a US dev kit in a one-off, prototype cardboard box. The cumulative result leads to more questions and further distrust. They'd have more credibility if they just said "Here's our prototype box and one of development units." I keep saying that until Intellivision can be honest with themselves--about everything--they can never be honest with the marketplace. Trust and credibility are earned, not given.
Have any systems even been produced? What have they been doing?! Lol
Bottom line, there are so many issues with this company even before this moment, that anyone who is still interested in investing already doesn't care or don't even notice these, and they deserve to lose their money if they choose to sink it in this dumbass company. Anyone smart enough to realise what's going on bailed ages ago, and anyone sticking around at this point can no longer be helped.

Overall great video, but at 10:50 you misspell "factory" as "factroy". If you're going to be pointing out spelling and grammar errors in your video, you should probably make sure that your own spelling and grammar are correct too :)

I know you need to make videos but the whole premise of "let's pretend it's a real unboxing so I can give them points" is intellectual dishonesty when we know it's a desperate dog and pony show to try to attract last ditch investors and not anything resembling a real unboxing.
This whole “unboxing” was bush league. IntellEvision is broke. The Amico is never coming out.
