I just bought one of these for $100, with the cast extension on one side and sheet steel extension on the other. It was kept in a garage with a leaky roof, the table has rust needing WD40 and sandpaper. I like your Red/Chrome color combo looks Retro.
That's great, check this Craftsman 113 playlist that contains all upgrades that I made for it ua-cam.com/play/PL9x3g5vz-4j8h_2roTuqIhyMzIFD5zXSP.html I curious about how your saw looks like. Could yor share a picture of it?
Same here, but I inherited mine from my dad 3 years back... 113.29903 (somewhere in the 1968-1970 range). He bought it new and I'll be tearing it down to clean, paint and tune it up before it goes into my new shop. I'd love to upgrade the motor to a 1.5 to 2 HP, if I can locate a decent (non-Chinese) used replacement (possibly convert to 220V operation as well). Hope I can do it as well as you did.
Every time when I turn it on, I enjoy the moment. I integrated mine saw into workbench, added paddle switch and upgraded it's fence to Delta. You can check it here. ua-cam.com/video/9gSQYKDIyvU/v-deo.html
I love it more and more every day. Already embedded saw into workbench and added out feed table, more improvements coming next weekend. Good luck with your project!
The label is upside down, great video ferrari red for the color very cool. I just got the same one, with a 1hp motor. My color choice is yellow or some blue.
Hello, I am trying to repair an older 27520 craftsman. It has obviously been worked on and not properly re assembled. I have looked at the parts list, and can’t be sure where part 1212 goes in the tilt block. Seen in figure 4. , low center. Thank you
Great video and restoration! I have this same saw, and would like to restore it. Do you have a version of the video in normal speed that you could share?
Thanks! Glad that you like it. Unfortunately I haven't normal speed video. But you can ask questions related to restoration here. Also check this playlist ua-cam.com/play/PL9x3g5vz-4j8h_2roTuqIhyMzIFD5zXSP.html it contains more that 10 miscellaneous upgrades that I made to the saw after restoration.
Hola amigo, esas cierras de banco antiguas de "Craftsman" aparecen para la venta ocacialmente en Facebook marketplace aca en EEUU. Son muy buenos, mejor q. se venden hoy en dia. Valen la pena restaurarlas.
Really nice work. One question - how did you separate the cradle from the saw arbor? It swivels stiffly on the pin, but I cannot get a grasp on it to pull the arbor off the pin.
Glad you like it. I didn't actually disconnect it because my bearings were still in good condition. I reviewed my video and saw that I was only detaching the pulley from the saw arbor.
@@MrStukov Thanks, but at 3:35 in your video you are greasing up the arbor pin and replacing the arbor. That is the part I can't seem to remove so far.
@@WestyJoeS it seems that the separation of the parts in my case was so easy and flawless that it did not even remain in my memory. during disassembly I used WD-40 btw. Sorry that can’t help you.
NooB question: I just acquired this same saw. How do I keep the blade from turning when I try to use the wrench to remove the nut to change out the blade?
To keep the blade from turning when using a wrench to remove the nut, first unplug the saw for safety. Then, take a sturdy piece of wood and insert it between the teeth of the saw blade and the base to prevent the blade from turning. With the wood in place, use the wrench to loosen the nut and change out the blade as needed.
Motor plate is attached to the saw using two metal rods. So you can loose rods fixation bolts adjust back and forth until you get enough tension for the belt and then secure it back. Here you can see how I attach motor back to the saw ua-cam.com/video/xK7uhJV0MI4/v-deo.html
I’m purchasing one of these saws and the paint is all gone off the body. Any idea what the original color is. I think it’s a blue, does anyone know if there is a number or something to identify the paint?

Awesome vid! That was the saw I used before I upgraded to my Sawstop. Definitely nostalgic to me. Maybe I will restore it someday!
Thanks! You should!
Just got mine for $50 on Facebook. You did a fantastic job. Looking forward to the restoration. Love the red!
I like the red. Belongs in a museum. My dad had one just like it. I built speaker cabinets with it in the 8th grade. Switch on motor, old school.
Glad that you like it, after restoration it will last another 100 years before it is placed at the museum.

Everything berns in your hands 🤗
Hands is so hot, so heater is not required in my garage at cold times :)
Super restorer ! 👍
Sure is!
Looks like my Kitchen Aid mixer 😉

Where did you get a clear picture of the diagram?
I have the same saw. One of the bed “upgrades” is to run a smaller blade. 8 inch or smaller.
Exactly, check my video about this ua-cam.com/users/shortsyOMKmiJsHsM

Great choice, still remember this moment when I noticed this. Label has been moved to correct position later :)

Very nice, I am restoring one myself, but I do not know where to get the parts, can you help me with that??
Did you replace the arbor bearings?
No, I listened to how they sound and did some tests with the dial gauge and did not find any backlash, so I decided to leave them until they lasts.
nice!!
Thanks!

@@MrStukov i guess this saw is missing that plate as i don't see two rods in that area. But thank you for the reply! Much appreciated!
In one picture you have the belt on the left side like original and then another picture it's on the right side and then back on the left again.

Original one is Storm Grey, Paint code 613, Part #175246 From Sears. I used red btw.
@@MrStukov hey thanks man, I appreciate the info. I didn’t see you message a couple weeks ago, my apologies. Great video by the way.
Pura vida but I prefered keep original color of cratfsman machines :(
I integrated saw into mobile workbench so at this moment only cast iron top is visible.
