Hey I don’t know if you do request of sorts, but I was wondering if you could consider doing a low cal bread (it doesn’t necessarily need to be high protein), bc here in Argentina there is really not something such as that. It would be really apreciares by me and I’m sure by a lot of people, biggg thanks, even if you don’t end un doing it

If you want to bake really simple breads you could try substituting regular flour with more absorbent flours (like coconut flour, of which you'll only need roughly 1/4th). You shouldn't be substituting much, though, for the simple reason that bread needs gluten and the more flour you're taking away, the more skewed the results get.
In fact in MY opinion the best (and also most calorie efficient way, of sorts) is working on becoming an advanced baker. All you need is flour, water, yeast, salt and your hands.
Instead of substituting like 1/3 of the regular flour with coconut flour or something else, just leave it out! Learn working with really high hydration dough (85% and up). Is it difficult? Yes. Time-consuming? Also yes.
But not only does high hydration bread have fewer calories per same measurement of weight.
It's arguably far superior to regular store-bought bread.

Made these today they were bomb! I also added phylum husk to add fiber and make the batter more thick so I could add more water, thus having more pancakes. Very good thank you, might be a go to now

Made these today, very good pancakes! SUPER filling, great taste, overall solid recipe. Only note is I needed to add quite a bit more water than 15 grams to get the same consistency he had in the video.

Love pancakes, these will be on the list to make for sure! Question about substitutions though, I use a whey/casein blend, PEScience. How would you recommend implementing that?

Thicc boissss🤌🏽recipes lookin great bro, I still to this day have yet to try the salted caramel JF protein but in combination with banana pancakes it looks like it’d be killer. Btw chronometer is the way to go imo since it keeps track of micros/vitamins and such as opposed to just cals/macros

Taste wise, is allulose any better than Splenda to you? Does it have any unfortunate drawbacks compared to Splenda? Like clumping or anything.

Half a tablespoon or teaspoon for the vanilla extract? Also, could you use 70g of 1 whey/casein protein powder blend such as the one from PE Science. Also, could you use Kodiak Cakes Buttermilk mix instead of flour for additional protein? Also, I made these with the original recipe (using 5.6g of vanilla extract). I used 35g of peanut butter whey and 35g of creamy vanilla casein and they were fire! Super satiating and thickk. The peanut butter + vanilla casein w/banana flavor was on point.

Do you have any recommendations if I wanted to use less or even no sweetener?

    • @MinaAyoubChef
      @MinaAyoubChef  2 роки тому +1

you can lessen it, use honey, some protein powders are even sweet enough on their own

  • @christaylor8022

I made the pancakes and they were delicious! But my batter was definitely not the consistency of yours. Even though I used the exact measurements of ingredients. It had to be something to do with the xantham gum. I've baked and cooked with it enough to know what it does to the consistency of batter. They were 🔥 nonetheless!

    Hey Mina, question on substitutions:
Could I substitute some more casein for some of the flour if I wanted to drop some of the carbs?
I’ve found casein to be more absorbent than flour so I’m curious if you have found some ratio of casein:flour absorption through trial and error that could be used to substitute to keep the desired consistency while adding more protein

Hi! Freshly cracked! Algorithm! 😂 I think I usually say care-ah-mel. I like all kinds of recipes. I like learning how cooking works and why things should be done a certain way. Not to say "whatever I don't care throw anything out there" but I literally watch videos of people cutting grass. I'm apparently easy to entertain.
