I loved the part about sacrificing your career if it doesnt line up with the Word. I do that when it comes to stop dating non Christians and everybody (even Christians) tells me I'm dramatic since the Church is way more open about marrying someone atheist or belonging to whatever belief. It was nice to hear Morgan talking about giving up a photoshoot or an acting role. If you're not willing to sacrifice for God then how much importance are you actually giving to Him? Do you actually trust something (or someone) better is waiting for you?

I found it weird when she said that when she was growing up it was "You're not going to have sex before you get married." And her thought was, "Just because I'm not? Just because the Bible says not to?"
Like, YES, exactly! Because: the Bible says not to! Sure, more conversations can/would be good to be had about it, but if "just because the scriptures says to do or not to do something doesn't necessarily mean I should adhere to it" is your view as a Christian, then that's scary! You're just picking and choosing parts of scripture that you like and making you're own version of God.
      Proverbs 30:5-6:
5 Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.
6 Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.

The beauty of the creation gives glory to the Creator. Consider this: If humanity the artwork and someone is glorifying the painting, it still gives all the glory to the one who created the masterpiece. When God is the One most high, there is a way in which people can be celebrated and glorified too. It's a matter of perspective (keyword: true humility)

My thoughts are that I was like Hailey when I was a model before I was a born again Christian. I was a professing Christian and I genuinely thought that I was a Christian. It wasn’t until I met mature, born-again full-Bible -believing Christians that I knew I had missed something. But I still didn’t know that I wasn’t a born again Christian. I wouldn’t even have been to tell you what it means to be born again. I didn’t know what it was to be a new creation because I wasn’t one. I didn’t know anything about the fear of God because I didn’t. It wasn’t until I came to the end of myself and came to God ready to give up everything for God and prayed,”God, tie me to the altar and burn away everything in me that is not of you.” Then my life changed. My heart changed. My desires changed. I wasn’t addicted to fb anymore. The Bible came to life! I had a peace and a joy in my heart and mind that I hadn’t known before.

I didn’t even see that the church as the Body of Christ. Jesus was all love, and everything would be fine as long as I repent. I continued to repent for years, yet I still didn’t change. I became unhappy in my sin, I didn’t understand how I could be “Christian” and have no peace and to have worry about where I would go if I died. I had a watered down & self serving faith. But I thank Jesus for His patience, and His Word. It’s through His Word that I learned that our sins were crucified with Him, and now we live a life to glorify Him, through making disciples and allowing the Holy Spirit to sanctify us! I’m 17 and I just recently became a born again Christian, I was lukewarm before but now, I’ve made the decision to ask God for forgiveness for my sins and accept him as my Lord and Savior. Yes, it’s hard to resist sin and to stay clean and renewed but I just pray to him daily asking him for strength and guidance and it really does help. Truly repenting and becoming born again is a *permanent* *decision* (almost like when a vegan decides to stop eating meat for the rest of their lives) that you must try you’re hardest to stick to and I advise you not to wait too long because time is short and you might not know when it’s run out.
God Bless you Brianna, I pray you we’re able to take something from my comment that will help you in your spiritual journey and please if you could, pray for me because I also need strength and determination as well so that I don’t fall back into sin again and start a wash and repeat type of cycle.

@@brownie8876 Wow! This comment is incredibly inspiring and simultaneously convicted and motivated me. I've never heard anyone draw the comparison to a dietary lifestyle change, but that's an excellent simile! The Lord has been speaking to me so much, through so many different people and mediums and I've been praying for Him to remove people and things that aren't meant for me, and I've been asking for the strength to stay away from those things, instead of continuing to return to them and justify their presence in my life. I'm ready to become the version of myself that God wants me to be. I want to live a surrendered life and be freed from the yokes of sin. And I'm really hoping that God will send me some like-minded people along the way.
Thank you for reaching out and taking the time to respond to me. I admire how faithful you are at such a young age, and it'll definitely take you far. It's taken me years to realize that the reason I've felt so isolated and different from so many of my peers is because I have the light of Christ within me, and it's something that I've been made fun of for years, but I'm coming to understand that that's just part of the territory if I want to live a Christ-like life in sincerity, and not just with words.
I will absolutely pray for you, darling, and I appreciate you praying for me. I feel very faithful and optimistic that we'll win this race 💖💕

@@bri_33 I’m so happy that I was able to motivate you! Earlier today, I asked God for eloquence so that I would be able to fluently and persuasively communicate his word to myself and others and based off your response alone, my Faith has been doubled and strengthened because I know I was only able to do so through him. He answered my prayer so extremely fast that I’m in complete awe and now know that I could never doubt his existence and now presence in my life.
I completely understand what you mean by feeling isolated and different over the past years. When I was 14 and began my freshman year in high school I suddenly had this shift, my personality *completely* changed. I drifted away from my friends, stopped listening to rap music and sort of fell into this depressive state (though I wouldn’t say I was ever depressed) but I’ve had a revelation and realized it was God reaching out to me and to think, all that time thinking I was alone when he waited patiently for me to turn to him and I’m so happy I did.
And yes, people laugh or try to make fun of me when I play gospel music or read the Bible or pray but what they don’t know is that I’ve been re born and their words are leaves blowing in the wind. They cannot dissuade me from knowing Jesus because I do my best to please *Him* and not the world. The world can’t get me into heaven. The world will send me straight to hell where I’ll weep and gnash my teeth.

And some Christians don't know tattoos are not allowed in the Bible. Wearing stuff that is highly sexually provocative such as a dress showing her breasts, nipples and all, with a light flowery net over them but showing all. This is not judging. This is appealing for godliness. I am an older woman who longs for young women and not so young women to stop dressing sexy. The main thing missing in modern Christianity is “sin.” Sin is never talked about just about how loving Jesus is and how much we are loved. But the “whole” gospel as yall said is yea there is love and forgiveness but there is also repentance and turning away from sin. Because we do all fail and fall short of the cross but that’s why Jesus came to die for us and our sins. But it’s only by the grace of God giving is the Holy Spirit to turn away from our old lives and be made new. The Bible says we will know them by their fruits. I pray for them!!!

There needs to be somewhat of a balance here. When I think about how I approach my faith, I look mainly to Jesus' time on earth, as I think it's fair to say that Christians are to strive to be like Jesus as much as possible.
It's true that he spoke about repentance to some extent, but that was never the emphasis of his ministry. His teachings were mainly centered on the greater output of a Christian lifestyle, not necessarily on individual repentance. When speaking to people who truly didn't know any better, he was always gentle and extended the hand of love first and foremost. He reserved his stronger admonishments for his apostles and other highly religious people at the time. To me, that seems to imply that the first reaction of any Christian should be of love, not of condemnation. If, after careful consideration, the situation calls for it, then yes, I would cautiously say that it's okay to give redirection, but as I said, only if the situation truly calls for it and only if it is given in the spirit of genuine love for the other party and of gentleness.
Tldr, Jesus spent a lot more of his time talking about loving one another and creating a good and fruitful output. It is through those sorts of things that we can bring the kingdom of God closer to us, as God is first and foremost a loving and merciful God.

I swear if I were to not be Christian and someone came up to me preaching about my sins to me, I probably wouldn't want to repent, but if there is anything I've learned it's that the best way to draw a person to God is by telling them about the goodness and kindness of Christ instead. Honestly if someone came to me to preach to me about my sins, it'll probably just make me feel terrible for doing them and if I repent from them through that way, that's not true repentance cause I'd probably be back to it the next week

It is precisely a Christian’s place to help guide others to the right path when they see them being led astray. Too many people nowadays forget that after refusing to throw to the first stone, Jesus turned to the woman and told her to ‘go and sin no more’. He did not ‘accept’ her sin, he gave her a chance to repent of it. Gently encouraging people to repent of their sins is an expression of love in the Biblical sense and is actually following Jesus’s example.

Yes, there are plenty of actors in line to be casted, and one may do anything possible to get in, but what good is it to gain the world if you have your soul to lose?
As Morgan said, Jesus did not put his righteousness and holiness to meet people.
However, He did break cultural and norms and expectations for people to meet Him.
Personally, I will pray for them because the amount of boldness it takes to go into the Hollywood field, set healthy boundaries, learning to say no, and still have amazing opportunities are truly Holy Spirit led.
Love does not blame, shame, or attack, but it also does not justify for our future plans to indulge in the flesh

You mentioned how Jesus often met people- outcasts and sinners of society- where they were at, but in doing so never sacrificed His holiness/righteousness. I definitely agree, but I would like to offer a challenging thought. What you mention is a fact that we as Christians can see clearly now in retrospect, 2000+ years later. But back in Jesus' time and due to cultural norms, His actions often WERE seen by the religious and the Pharisees of that time (I believe) as VERY compromising to His holiness and righteousness.
He touched dead bodies and was touched by the bleeding woman which according to the religious law at the time would have automatically made Jesus unclean and probably diminished His holiness. But Jesus breaks those religious laws because grace was more important in that context with those people. I'm not trying to justify all of the actions of a self proclaimed Christian in Hollywood, but I think it's important to take the context of their career into consideration. I agree with you that working in Hollywood would be difficult, but I don't believe it's inherently evil- there is just much more grey area than the majority of us face in our careers. That is all :)

This is very saddening... they have created a false god and slapped “Jesus” on it... however it is not the same Jesus that is found in the Bible.
Something I’ve been thinking about lately is how many progressive Christians will preach how God is love. This is so true! However, what is love defined Biblically? We all know the scripture 1 Cor. 13:4-7. (Love is patient, kind, not envious, not puffed up, or evil, rejoices in truth, etc.) but also biblically, how do we love the Father? “If you love Me, keep My commandments.”
    ‭‭John‬ ‭14:15
He has called us to deny ourselves and follow Him in His perfect way!
The enemy has polluted love (which is God Himself) into being a “love is love” all accepting, zero correction God. Who/what is holding us to the standard of holiness that the God of the Bible is asking us to walk in?
I pray that a baby Christian doesn’t watch the video of Hailey and fall into a sinful lifestyle. I’m actually scared for Hailey that she is teaching about Jesus in such a false way. She will be held accountable for those she has lead wrong. She’s making disciples whether she intends to or not. The disciples she is making will not be ones that know the whole truth... so so sad.

Judgement day is something that's in the bible, of course but it's not the main point of being a Christian at all. It's an event that has to happen in order for God's children to get into heaven. It's not a dark thing for true Christians since he'll give us crowns on that day according to our works and love for Him. Relationship takes a huge priority in faith, which allows works to follow. Fearing the bible or the end of the world doesn't make you Love God. *And I thing a huge problem with modern day Christians is that there love for heaven is greater than their love for God and their fear of hell is greater than their fear of God.* We need to be careful since it says that not all who say "Lord, Lord" will enter the kingdom of heaven. EVEN those who cast out demons in God's name were rejected because He didn't know them. Remember that the relationship and Love is the most important part. If our fear of hell is neccessary in our relationship with God, maybe we aren't truly following Him. Just wanted to point that out since I struggle with that a lot, even TODAY.

Completely agree with you … the path is narrow as the word says and I think that at the judgement seat a lot of these “Christian” people will be told that God never knew them.

For sure you guys made good points, but i hope you don't in a different way do the things you preach against, because it is easier to see others mistakes than ours, i hope God strengthens you and you continue this awesome journey you've started and don't get lost by the way. AMEN.

I’m glad someone addressed this relationship because of a lot of the youth and young adult Christians idolize them. It’s always going to be a persons choice to do so but we need to hold each other accountable so things can be fixed

I just want to say ( with a lot of love) that I have followed y’all for awhile now. All of your dating content etc. was so informative back then for young Christians.
I really feel like this is just Christian gossip at this point. Especially when I watched your video about Demi Lovato, I just felt like if she had watched that herself it would have hurt her walk more than helped it.
Maybe let’s all (even christians watching) check our hearts and operate with a little more love and empathy rather than the mocking attitude of “obviously that’s not right”. It just isn’t reading well 😬😬

I totally agree with this, I just made a similar comment on a different video, the recent videos are just not GRACEFUL and just PETTY, not filled with LOVE, We truly are not called to judge, I hope they pray for them as much as they talk about them.

Saying this with lots of love, I would truly advise you guys focus on sharing the truths of His word as compared with responding/making videos of other peoples lives. This can be needed at some points but not every video, just not great!

That really depends on what you understand by "love". When we claim that a rebuke or criticism that comes through a Christian isn't "loving" what do we mean? Usually, we mean that hearing what they have to say is painful; we mean that their words have hurt us. When we think this way it means we think that loving someone means saying things that make them feel good all the time and never saying anything that hurts them.
Sin destroys the soul. It corrupts what God made, turning what is good into something evil. We know that remaining in sin leads to people's destruction. So if we see people excusing their sin, they are justifying and protecting the very thing that is destroying them.
Consider a Christian or a Church that sees you clinging to your sins and keeps silent. You are poisoning yourself right before their eyes and they're not telling you to stop taking the poison. Do they love you?
Who loves you more: the person who tells you that the path you've chosen leads to the blind edge of a cliff, or the person who says nothing because they don't want to offend you or make you feel stupid or incompetent?
Being told "you're a sinner" is painful. Conviction is painful. The truth often hurts to hear and lies often sound lovely to our ears. The fact that something is painful to hear doesn't make it unloving. Only someone who truly loves you tells you truths that will hurt you to hear. When they do it, it means they care more about you knowing the truth than they care about hurting your feelings and possibly making you angry with them.
Hailey Beiber and Demi Lovato are celebrities. They are looked up to by millions of people and especially, millions of children. If they're engaging in sin or justifying sin and presenting their behaviour as acceptable and harmless, those millions who trust them end up being deceived along with them. So there's a need for someone to say this is not true; this is sin and will lead to destruction. These response videos aren't primarily for Hailey Bieber or Demi Lovato; they're for the millions of people who might follow in their footsteps.

@@janetnyirenda4715 it has much to do with how you communicate those things though as well. And much of this video was said with laughter and some sarcastic manners. Even though I don’t necessarily agree with their points, I think they same stuff could have been said in a different way and been fine. But the spirit seems a bit off

I know a lot of people have said this, but I would personally really appreciate it if you'd have a deeper conversation on your channel with a progressive Christian. I honestly feel that you have some major misunderstandings of what they believe and think, and how they got to those beliefs. I think it's good for the church for us to have those dialogues.

    • @solochristo65
      @solochristo65 3 роки тому +2

There is no misunderstanding here....... they could be stronger against progressive Christianity cause it's not BIBLICAL. Let them start their own religion since they don't want to follow the whole of God's Word. Matter of fact a lot of progressive C's don't even believe the whole Bible IS All the Word of God. How about that understanding?

Holiness isn’t about checking off a list of doing these things/not doing these things. It’s about having the heart posture of “I want to honor and glorify my Father in all things.” Our hearts should break over the things that break His. No not every person’s walk will be the exact same, but they should all have the same outcome- holiness and sanctification. God desires that we be holy as He is holy.
“And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.”

I watched Hailey`s video. I feel like celebrities are in the public eye so much that at times they are reluctant to share about their faith for fear of being judged in terms of how they live their life. When they do share about it, they get judged even harsher for professing their faith. It is almost like others feel they have to attain a level of perfection if they profess they are a Christian. If they don't live up to those expected "standards" they are ridiculed. Celebrities are already under the microscope and are judged for every little thing. This is their normal and it is a shame. I'm a born-again Christian and personally I feel like being less judgemental towards others is the best thing. The Bible says over and over to "love thy neighbor." If there is something in general that you are wrestling with as an internal conflict or concern, take it up in prayer. I appreciate the fact that Hailey and Justin use their platform to share their faith with their fans. I am not a perfect person and I'm not going to sit back and judge others.

But they aren’t judging them! They are just holding to the standards of God. They are just challenging their views and see if they are in line with the Bible. And that’s actually an act of love. It’s so much easier to nod and be quiet than challenge people.
