No problems, stick on with the same engine oil, you can do service little earlier like 8500km to 9000 km as it done 280,000km. Do egr Cleanning every 80000km, changge diesel filter every 20000km, change air filter as condition base, and timing belt 80000km at least or in 2 yr which comes first. And your car will easily complete 5 lakh km or above.
Castrol edg or magnatec 5w30, shell 5w30 diesel eng oil, or mobil1 5w30 or mobil super 3000 5w30, Shell 10w40 also suitable. You can use other brands in same grades too. Always follow the service manual.

Hi, company really recommend 0w40.? Usually fully synthetic oil may cover 15kto30k but i won't recommend this for a diesel car. Instead of highly expensive oil you can use 15w40 or 5w30 which will do the job nice. Because weather is not that extreme here and changing duration 8.5kto 10 k or 1yr which comes first. Its always gud for life of diesel engine. 👍

There are new generation fully synthetic oil available,fully chemically made which are actually specially formulated for certain makes and such are really not affordable for everyone. Imagin if you pay 2400-3000rs for a liter and which your car really doesn't require.
Ente Swift diesel (2014) was using MGDO 5W40 Mobil oil till 59990kms (oil changing done every 10,000kms). Last time servicill workshop advisor parajhu 5W40 oil illa ennum instead 5W30 Lucas oil annu use cheyamm ennu. Ee oil use cheythal any issue for engine life. Pls advice
If you are looking within average price range you can select mgdo servo 5w40 or shell, if looking for premium you can go for castrol magnatech 15w40 or 5w40,10w40 or mobil3000 or mobil1, castrol edge 5w40 or liquimoly also good but too expensive which are mostly used for German cars. Castrol magnatec is bit pocket friendly and good oil but availability is an issue in some areas.

Any manufacturing company never recommends any additives.if your vehicle is new, Instead of using additives better you change the oil little earlier.

Both are good in there place, for 2003 alto its good 20w40 multigrade oil from castrol or servo.

If its only 6months old from the manufactured or packed date.you can still use it, just make sure its sealed well.. And kept in a safe place..

You can use CI4 IN A CH4 COMPATIBLE VEHICLE but don't use, ch4 on a CI4 or above recommended vehicle.
