Awesome swap man! I got my RSV in December and I’m taking your advice and just running the stock motor as much as I can and then getting a predator to 24 and transfer over all the stock components like you have. I’m definitely gonna save this video for later on when I go down that road. Excited to see what else you guys do to that 224 predator motor as far as stage kids or exhaust
Great video here. I completely agree that it's a good idea to run them stock at first. That's what I should have done but chose to build it right out of the box. I've never used a zip tie on the throttle spring but have relocated its position on the governor arm for 5500 plus RPM with the screw in place. You would lose a little power if you use the Coleman muffler. If you compare the inlet of both mufflers you will see why. The stock 224 muffler is the best small block muffler there is. I use mine on my 196 bike. Works great with larger jets and the filter kit. Better than a header if you want to keep the noise down.
Just completed following your instructions. My only request would be that you add the tool and socket sizes to the video description; otherwise, fantastic walkthrough.
You’ll need to do some modifications to make it fit mostly you’ll need to make sure that it’s the same shaft size and not a five eights because the harbor freight engine is three-quarter inch. You can buy an adapter but generally, it’s better just to get a different clutch assembly or switch to a CVT.
I prefer Honda GX 200 engines I am not a fan of the Predator just my personal preference. I have an older Kawasaki FR 691V on my older mower. I have been tempted to try and put it on a Mini-Bike ha ha! I am afraid it will stick out the sides too much though.

Thanks for the comment, we’ll do videos soon. I have four bikes in my stable and have been a building them since we were kids.
I really like how you break down everything. That's really gonna help everyone out eventually when they swap engines. Good video, bro

This video is straight to to the point and very informative. Thanks for posting this I just got a 224 into my Coleman b200r

Thanks for the walkthrough , full of valuable information
Japanese industrial screwdrivers otherwise known as JIS screwdrivers they are usually the best as far as gripping the screw good
I know I’m late to the vid but how fast does it go with the new motor?
I weigh 225 and it goes about 39.
@Sunshone7311 is that with the gov still on? What's the gearing on the bike
@@gabronn Yes, just zip tied the governor for now, removed the throttle limit screw.
I’m swapping my b200rsv engine into a 224 predator, could I get away with just putting the new engine in, or would that be a bad idea??
Do I have to swap parts on the engines?
Hey do the harbor freight predator engines 212 cc fit in a B200R? My engine blew up I need a engine that fits

@@Sunshone7311 could I get a torque converter? Would it fit better with one?
Can I just put the 224 as it is onto the Coleman minibike? Why transfer the components like you did on the video?
Yes, but you will lose your headlight power source and kill switch.
In the video I’m transferring parts so you maintain all functionality.
Hey man, was the output shaft the same size? Or did you have to get a different torque converter driver?
Same size
Just needed a 5/16 2” bolt to secure it.
Can i get a link or where to look for that replacement screw
@@jakeboipro3377 Lowe’s and Home Depot will have them in the bolt drawers.
