Pokémon is great in many ways but manages to disappoint me in more, one of those disappointments being there isn't an eeveelution for every type. In my humble opinion, the bug type is underrepresented as well, which is why I ultimately decided to sculpt some good ol' bug eeveelution fusions. Viewers of mine did indeed request an Eeveelution sculpture, but I get to decide the type of chaos I want to ensue.
THAT BEING SAID, I would like to FULLY disclose that this will NOT be the end of my bug eeveelution fusions. I have more AMAZING designs to get to courtesy of Infinite Fusion and eeveelutions possess only cream of the crop fusion designs, so really, it's inevitable. Become bug. Do not resist the Bug Overlords. If you are lucky, perhaps, they will grant you favor as they did me.

They turned out so good! You are still a maniac for doing individual cartoon grass triangles but I cannot argue with the results, the base is fantastic.

I love presenters that you can just hear smiling. Sebastian Lague (a programming UA-camr) also has that trait, and it's just so pleasant and comfy. Very easy to just follow along and be infected by it
Quick note, you can mix a little bit of corn starch with very transparent paints to make it opaque.
It's not emough to add texture, I'm a aculptor too and this hack saved me hours on painting layers of cheap paint hahaahahhaha
you are impossibly good at polymer clay, like i meant to have this on in the background while i did other things but i was so mesmerized i just watched the whole thing
I am an entomologist! I work on stag beetles. You are not wrong, it is a horn. But we don't usually call them antlers because antlers on deer fall off annually, while for insects, once they become adults they are stuck with the glorious horns they grow while they are pupating. All of these Eeveelutions were absolutely adorable!
Thank you so much for your insight! Bug horns are probably my favorite bug part. On a completely unrelated and hypothetical note, do blue beetles with yellow eyes have the capacity to overtake a human brain?
@@CrossingCrafts I know right! I love them! All the beetles I have worked on have had horns and they are all so cute! It is one of my favorite parts of bug morphology too! About your hypothetical, I don't think so. But they can take over your life with how cute they are. They will infect your brain until you no longer think about anything else.

These are actually based on sprites from a Pokémon fangame called Pokémon Infinite Fusion I am pretty sure! I'd go show support for the original spriters too

That's actually so cool, as one of the IF spriters it feels even more incredible, our work is going beyond the pixel art we know and love, and it still feels similar, at first it looks like a fat blob of color and at the end it's beautiful, I didn't know I needed that!

Love how the grass came out! As someone who struggles to enjoy static grass (especially for more stylized pieces) I appreciate the effort you put in there to make something that fits the rest of the piece 🙏

Hey Crossing, a Tip for the grass if only to avoid having to cut out that many tiny triangles again… Try using Tweezers to pull at the clay. Just put down the shade/s of Green for the grass and use the Tweezers to pull, tease and prod the clay. it’s a very effective way of creating a grassy look but with less tedious work.
That caterizard at 5:29 is really cute. Would be cool to see it

28:01 hey just so you know, you can make your paints more opaque by adding a *tiny* drop of white to them. It doesn't make them lighter at all, something about the binders in white paint pigmented with titanium dioxide (which is pretty much all white acrylic paint) makes paint more opaque for some reason 🤷♀

Someone suggested cornstarch and it does work but another thing that helps thicken up cheap paint is Marble Powder! Cornstarch has the risk of molding if you don’t seal the paint, marble powder doesn’t have this issue! Course, marble powder is a bit more expensive but it saves you a ton of money on paint :’D

wonderful sculpture, and i kinda love that you went with bugs, i feel like bug type pokemon aren't very popular. for more eeveelution suggestions.... the eetails looks pretty cool. it's a ninetails with eevee coloring and head, but the tails are each of the eeveelutions tails. for pokemon fusions in general, something with lapras. there's a lot of really cool and beautiful fusions in that fusion deck that would probably make some amazing sculptures.
for general suggestions... i've been obsessed with Palworld, so more Palword makes would be great. maybe chillet curled up on a large pal bed, or depresso mining at the stone pit, or teaphant enjoying one of the hot springs. there's a lot of fun ideas from that game.
Honestly the stupidest pokemon make the best fusions. Pyukyumukyu, psyduck, oddish, and magikarp have a lot of hilarious fusions.
If you want actual cool/interesting fusions, aegislash, mimikyu, and smeargle have some really impressive ones.

Ooo this is so cute! I’d love it if you did the rest of the eeveelutions as bug fusions! I looked through the fusion dex and here’s a few of my fave bug-eeveelutions:
Beeon (Beedrill + Vaporeon), Volcareon (Volcarona + Flareon), Ledeon (Ledian + Jolteon),
Also Shedpeon (Shedinja + Espeon), Spinareon (Spinarak + Umbreon), and Jolticeon (Joltik + Glaceon)
Hohoho…. My next eeveelution video will DEFINITELY be BEEVEELUTIONS. I’ve had that title in my head for like 6 months now

Basic Pokemon that needs more love shown to her: Nidoqueen.
Fusions: Ninetails. Magnetails, Kyotails, and Yatales.
