But it looks like the 2 different parts top and bottom are sealed so how does the water get through the bottom pouch?

It gets through guess it’s permeable to water

That bag is the ones that don’t work right. I used to buy them along time ago and they were very good. They had flakes in the top of the bag that smelled very nice. They collected a lot of water almost to the top of the bag. Now I checked the bag hanging in my car now and those little balls melted and there’s hardly any water in the bag. Please don’t waste your money don’t buy them.

Certain ones collect a ton of water, I think the ones in a “can “don’t absorb as much water

I just moved into a new house and I put one in each closet and one in my laundry room and they have collected a ton of moisture so far. I’m very pleased
