  • I’ve been using DampRid products for a few years and saw this new disposable/refillable model with charcoal and decided to try it out and compare how it works compared to the hangable bags.

    *We liked it **Fastly.Cool** so much in the basement, we bought a second one for the main level. The amount of moisture it pulls out of the air is astonishing.*

    it kinda makes sense that the bag collects more humidity as hot air rises. the bag is higher than the bucket so maybe try putting fresh ones a bucket and a bag in the same height maybe so you can have a fair comparison of both.

    I have a few of these through out my house. They make scented ones. You can reuse the container when it's done. You can use calcium chloride, actuall charcoal briquettes or even the refillable damprid pellets. All work really well.

    Love this stuff it really works I bought this for my RV and it does seem to draw out the moister. I also run a dehumidifier in my RV that seems to help. Hope you get a dehumidifier at your place seems like you spend a lot on DampRid

    I know this is old but I'm with you on the bag versus these or the big ones for rvs I've had both for about a month and nothing but the humidity reader says 70% in the house

    Considering how slowly things like that extract water from the atmosphere I'm not sure it's making that much difference?

      I prefer the bags since they hold more water but I've thought the same thing. They probably don't hurt to use, especially in a closet or small area but in the winter time I use a dehumidifier to significantly bring down the moisture and take condensation off the windows.

      If that happens try removing the paper on the top of the container even though it says not to. Once the paper is gone it seems to collect water quicker and will saturate the material faster and start dripping.

    Hope this isn’t a stupid question. Can I flush the liquid into my septic tank?

    • @Mr.Everything
      @Mr.Everything  2 роки тому +1

      I would think so. It is kind of a greasy liquid so i flush it down the toilet instead of pouring it down a sink drain. There will usually either be a slimy thick film at the bottom or some pieces of the absorption material left so I'd just leave those stuck at the bottom and throw it away.
