The BFG is a beast of a controller. It may feel cheap but damn it can get the job done really well. Won so many matches on Apex with the BFG. You can never go wrong with it.
facts, victrix got potential. they need to invest more into premium materials for better comfort with their controllers but ovr its a really good controller
Give it the dual sense material and you’ve got a S+ tier controller. One of the few times the third party version is better than the real one (Sony is kinda bad with everything else but the consoles, they made decent headsets but for the price of that much, I could get a even better 50 dollar headset).
@@adismedunjanin460actually the Xbox series X is a stronger performing console. The BFG just came out with Hall effect stick modules as well. In my opinion I think Xbox is the turtle that wins the race in the next decade.
My sentiments exactly on the BFG. I mainly play shooters and did damn well with it in either Xbox or PS layout. My issue was that it just feels cheap in hand despite being only $20-$25 less than the Edge. I loved the 20hr battery life compared to the 6-8 I get on the Edge.
Im getting more into fighting games the holiday season and was also looking for a pro controller for competitive shooters. Never cared for rumble or adaptive triggers and if i ever do decide to use it its for single player games where ill just use my duelsense anyways. Victrix seems like the best bet to cover the cost of a fight pad and a pro controller in one.
@@ijustbevibin0425 love my victrix and its served me well for fighting games but im probably switching a leverless in a few weeks. Arcade stick might be more easily intuitive but its objectively the worst imput for fighting games because of stick travel time
Actually inhave both i bought the victrix for my wife and the DSE for myself. They both have their pros and cons but to me it's more of option. DSE def feels like the premium Ps5 experience but for getting the best performance the BFG all the way I have been using it more. I originally got it because of the module swap to 360 and fightpad layout and I turn pff speakers and rumble after playing a game for a while amyway so it is perfect for me. I am happy we have the option.
The only reasons I would buy the Victrix is for the Xbox asymmetric thumbstick placement and the better battery life. I already have the Edge so I can swap when I want the haptics and the adaptive triggers depending on the game.
i dont get why weight means premium for a controller that you usually have to support the weight with your arms. i understand if its a fight stick but not a controller.
Appreciate the feedback, I mainly play shooters on the Xbox cause of the elite, I was looking at getting sparking zero next month to fuel my itch for fighting games. So I’ll probably get the BFG for that but I like the rumble but I’ll make that sacrifice.
Nice video dude. I’m someone who who wants sound from the controller, adaptive triggers and haptic feedback but i also want the modular buttons because i prefer the xbox analog style haha so i need to weigh up which i’d prefer.
I just bought the victrix and hes not lying about the controller feeling cheap. It’s a bad ass controller but it’s to light and the 4 buttons in the back kinda get in the way
Honestly I got this recently I like using the ps4 d pad much more and I'll use a brook adapter if I use it but in terms of like fight stick like controls and other decent options the controller is solid it made pushing two buttons options for like ex moves and grabs easy but I also am someone who uses pad stick and leverless but it all kinda depends
me personally, i just wanted a controller with xbox ergos. this seems to fit the bill. if im playing a game wher haptics and rumbles are actually a feature and not a gimmick, like astro bot, id just switch to my og controller. the only thing that bothers me is that the wireless dongle is usb a, and the ps5 pro only has usbc, which means i gotta buy an adapter that will make the dongle stick out like crazy lol
Do they make stick modules to replace in the event of stick drift? The edge has none available except from 3rd party websites and those sites are charging the price of a new controller for one stick module.
Rn it’s 193 cad and I bet if you wait for a sale it might become even cheaper I might pick one up in like a year or so I’m maining a 8bitdo ultimate rn since I want it for pc but I really miss my dual sense I just never want to deal with stick drift again
The Victrix feels cheaper but has way better features with more back buttons and modular design (now with Hall Effect sticks), and it's cheaper, indeed. This is not even a contest
Idk why people think that having a weighty controller is a sign of quality ffs. I don't get. Noone uses rumble in competitive gaming. And the BFG is aim at those players. If you are not the target for the controller don't buy. Period. Idk why I pressed play in this video. Another reviewer with the same mindset
I personally find this controller to be great with an exception of the feel of the triggers. Everything else feels solid. Lack of bluetooth kinda sucks but meh.
Facts on it not feeling its value, however it does the JOB 100% for FPS. Coming from an Elite series 2, definitely felt like a downgrade but it was the only one closes to it when I got a ps5.
Loved my elite series 2 but ended up selling the Xbox. Dualsense aren’t that comfortable for me so I ordered the BFG as it’s the only one that remotely resembles an Xbox controller!
I like it! Especially on COD! It's my secondary controller. I basically have a dual sense edge. Lol. I modded a regular dual sense w/ customizable back buttons, hair click triggers, clicky face buttons, interchangeable joysticks, & changed the look. So I basically created an edge & scuf controller. Lol. But the Vic is good too! I would use it if my other controller needed a charge or was unavailable.
Dual sense only has 2 paddles and way less features and it’s more expensive, meanwhile the bfg (my controller) has 4 paddles and more features being less money Overall: the victrix is WAYYYYY better
Because you’re shitting on something people actually like. Haptic feedback feels cool asf and helps with immersion. I honestly hope other controllers do shit like this. Adaptive triggers are fun asf!!

It's lighter because it is missing the rumble and speakers. Also those octagon shaped items are called gates.

If you play your PS5 like an XBOX , it’s a non-issue lol. No speakers, no rumble, no adaptive triggers and shaped like an xbox controller.
