I got the edge since there will hopefully be hal joysticks. 2 back buttons is enough for me atm. It's replacing my dualsense. I like that control freaks fit the edge. This controller looks awesome too. For cod I don't use any haptic feedback and have a headset.
@@IssaFIre672 interesting, I had no idea. I don't want three times the deadzone. I added back buttons to my dualsense and I think I prefer the placement of them compared to the edge. Maybe I'll just swap the sticks for replacement potentiometer ones in the dualsense.
L2 R2 triggers are too high. It’s very uncomfortable trying to not hit the triggers. Same with the back buttons, you’re constantly hitting back buttons or triggers. I took the controller back & bought the edge. So glad I did.
So I just bought the Dual Sense Edge. I love this controller and this is my seventh pro controller for the PS5. These are all the pro controllers I own 1 Evil Controller 2 Battle Beaver custom 3 Aim controller 4 ExtremeRate Kit Pro controller 5Razor wolverine V2 Controller 6 Scuf Reflex 7 Dualsense Edge I love all of these controllers but all of these controllers does something that the other doesn't. For instance the razor wolverine V2 controller has six extra buttons which is very convenient for games like call of duty and it has the trigger stops as well but it doesn't have the haptics that the regular PS5 controller has. The scuf reflex is a great controller. It has four paddles on the back and being able to switch between three profiles is great but the only problem is it doesn't have trigger stops. When it comes to controllers the only controller that checks off everything on my list when it comes to an all-around great controller is the Xbox elite series 2 controller. I have one elite series 2 controller because it checks off everything. Trigger stops haptics for paddles and it even has software to fine-tune your aim like the dual sense Edge does. This controller looks great but does it have everything probably not.
One MAJOR selling point for me is if you can buy a new joystick. For the duel sense edge you can buy new joysticks when they do wear down. But can you buy new ones for the victrix controller?
@Jpkitchens He shows himself simply removing the stick not the whole base which is where the drift will be stemming from. I think the Real answer is no
i actually prefer domb on the right stick as the longer stick which allows ur finger to hit the edge right, especially as they wear down. left side short concave fits the finger and u hold it a lot more for running etc... I'd be concerned of longevity. My ps5 controller i've had since release is still perfect, I've had so many issues with Scuf reflex I would never recommend (note I had great experience with the Impact Ps4 variant) Sony tends to atleast put out quality.
Domed stick always to left stick. Dont know if its just me but its easier/faster to push l3 with a domed stick and in shooters it usually sprint :D might be preference thing
I actually pre ordered victrix Pro first, then found out about dualsense Edge and when something went wrong with my order I just got the edge instead and I've been loving it but it only has 2 back buttons where as victrix has 4
Got mine in two days ago and I am just really unsatisfied with it. The buttons on the back are really poorly placed and the controller feels really cheap. Have been trying to return and PDPs return policy is worse than this product. If you have used it, they will not refund with a return.
I was gonna get this but pdp replied to me today saying they do not sell spare parts yet. Also the adjustment software isn’t ready yet either. That has put me off. I’ll probably just go for the edge.
Dual Sense edge a doa, due to Sony choosing only to include 2 back buttons, why limit the controller like that, I truly don’t understand Sonys way of thinking.
I respect you and your channel but, I’m sticking with my edge controller and I honestly think the BFG controller there looks very cheap. But it’ll be so cool that the edge should’ve added the tall thumb stick though tbh.
This controller has hyper sensitive triggers, that my idle grip would set them off, and the software to set dead zones on them hasn't fully launched the customization features. all it does is update the firmware.
they have opposite options idk why they cant add rubber triggers and padding for the others duel sense just to me another xbox controller buttt the moduler controller reminds me of the razer one
Someone please reply before I buy anther controller 🎮. Where can u buy parts of this controller 🎮 as joystick or buttons if they break. Because it expansive now but if u can just change parts that good value
can you replace the modules? or do you have to order a whole new controller when one starts to go? I'm looking on their website but I dont see anything about it
i'm pretty interested in that too. would be sick for people who would rather repair the controller than buy a new one. too many of my controllers die from stick drift around a year in and I don't really have the skills to solider in a replacement sensor.
Id like to see this against the razor control that was released as well. Does the PS button power console on and off or nah? For GOW i like my extremekit buttons i added, i use them for my L1 and R1 and noticed i was having more fun with combat

I mapped buttons in this video. It works perfectly! I’m surprised they would launch this if that wouldn’t work. Profile button + rear button + whichever button you wanna map. Works fine for me
i like the options on it but for 179 it should have rumble/haptic features. Its crazy how back in the day mad catz had pro style controllers and were always way cheaper than the system brand ones. They had one for gamecube and it was mint
The thing is that competitive gamers always turn those off anyway. I used to play a TON of Destiny years ago and all good players turned off rumble and anything like that in their options menu.
Bought one as my stock DSense stick drift was becoming unbearable. Also chose this over the Sony Pro as I haven’t heard if they’ve fixed the drift issue. Worst controller I’ve ever played with. Looking forward to this Victrix.
almost the same amount of the Edge with no haptic rumble? The Dualsense haptics alone is one of the best current gen features. It's even better and more enjoyable than most current gen games.
I received my dual sense last night and I am returning it. I played with it and there is no difference. The trigger stops only work on the lower bumpers and not the top. The paddles actually have a quicker response time than the bumpers.there is also a noticeable difference in the weight of the controller. It’s a bummer that you can’t turn the ps5 on and off with the controller. Maybe, I’ll just by a scuff from eBay and purchase a two year warranty.
I would highly recommend you to check out Marius heier instead, he's working on hall effect sticks on PS4 controllers and eventually on other models too, you dont really have to do that but me personally i also had a shit ton of controllers and im kinda sick and tired of constantly buying new ones. 🥲 Id rather wait for something durable than for the sticks to break in a couple of months

@user-up2og1sq6n well I got it but I took it back. It’s a great controller but the thumb sticks are a little too small for my liking. And when you layout it out like a ps controller, the thumb sticks are more closer together than the standard dual sense.
Look victrix is better 4 paddles trigger stops customizable paddles fast response time ps and xbox layout wired non wired longer battery life and just way more customizable features and cheeper if you play with two paddles, just get the pro scud controler for 200 it has four triggers, but you could take them out so it’s way better than the dual sense edge.

Dome stick to the left always. It is the thumb you need to move to press up, down, left or right buttons. Domey sticks are not as grippy normally but that is a good thing for the left stick. If you like the concave stick, now you have two for the right one which is more important and grippy.
