- The Premier League has been sensational this season. So many players have shone to make the league so enthralling. Arsenal have been unreal, Man City have been typically dominant, Aston Villa have been a breathe of fresh air and Manchester United have been excellent value. What I have tried to do here is create a team of the standout players in the Premier League without any bias or tribalism...let's see! Do you agree with my selections?

If it were me Rory, I'd choose Cole Palmer over Saka here, for a lad who hadn't made that many first team appearances, he's had an enormous impact for Chelsea. Without Palmer, Chelsea would be way further down the table.

Lack of Everton players despite being the 4th best defence in the league (made more impressive by our below average midfield) is criminal. Pickford and Branthwaite have to be in there IMO. I can see why you left them out as you saw them at their worst

Short of the Thiago Silva decision (and I'm a huge fan of him myself) and the obvious Mason Mount joke it's a pretty spot on team. I'm a Gooner and I'd have Cole Palmer there too.
I wouldn’t agree with some of the picks but credit for picking White at right back. While there’s a couple I’d put ahead of him for arsenals player of the season, I do think White is Arsenals most nailed on, inarguable pick in league team of the season
