If Willy Wonka Made a Bike Park! ⭐ Rays Indoor Mountain Bike Park Cleveland Ohio Complete Tour
Вставка
- Опубліковано 6 лют 2025
- Raw footage of every room of Rays Indoor mountain bike park in Cleveland Ohio. Rays MTB park is such a hard place to fit into one video but this video will give you the best overall view of the Bike Park. There are 2 parts to this video, the first part is 3rd person shots of Rays, and the second part is a whole POV Tour of the whole Bike Park & XC loop (sped up).

Here's my last video where I compared riding a Hardtail MTB vs a Dirt Jumper bike while at Rays

You win 10 style points for attaching your microphone to your hair
Hey I saw my son riding in your video at 8 mins in the red helmet lol, I just showed him he was so happy to see himself on your channel man!
@@swpa8742 I saw him ripping around all day, he was riding like a boss!
I hope you will get a new bike
The mic attached to your hair 😂
Just gotta go with the flow 😉
I'll take it as an April fools reference.😂
I went to rays for the first time last week and I thought I explored everything... I wasn't even freaking close
This is exactly the video I needed today man
This is actually awesome because it shows more in depth how beautiful Ray's actually is and what features it offers. Thanks again for the nice mention, and best of luck with your sponsors and all you endeavors!
Love your channel man, good luck with your new sponsors and for the rest of the year
Thank Kalkill!
Someone is a really good carpenter with a great imagination. Great video Phil.
I have watched so many videos August indoor skatepark and you showed so many different areas of the spark that you never get to see in anybody it's videos. The tour at the beginning at the video was awesome because it shows you more of what they have there.
You got almost everything into your tour. I'll be using this video to show to people who are interested in visiting so they know what to expect.
I'm kicking myself for not making a quick step into street BMX section, and some of the XC offshoots but oh well 😂
@@SkillsWithPhil Gotta leave some surprises!
Just went and the place blew my mind! Filmed three videos and there was still so much left to be done
when you crash the oompa loompa's come out
willem lol
*OOMPA LOOMPA OMPADY DO*
Great video! I’ve never seen the smaller features before. I’ll defiantly be taking my kids there soon!
Lol he is doing consistent uploads as April fools joke and we are all fooled
Haha that actually got a good chuckle out of me 😁👍
@Edmund Harley I would drive all the way there from sc just for that
Edit: (maybe)
Place looks sick. Really makes me wish the Vans indoor park in Woodbridge at Potomac Mills still existed.
That place was sooooo sick! Used to visit the park when visiting my family in VA. That very ramp with the slight pocket and the peanut bowl there were so perfect. I couldn't believe I was going to skate a mall 😂
This place is pretty close to me, actually. A couple of hours away. I've heard about it before, but it's nice to actually see it! Maybe I'll take a trip there some time this summer!
Did you ever make it to rays? I want to check it out
I love going to Rays and I am blessed that my grandparents live in Cleveland and i have a trip planned for this summer!
FYI. Check the website schedule before you book a trip. Ray's is typically closed during the summer.
Last open day this season is April 27th.
Come back to northern Ohio in the summer and hit some of our outdoor trails with us! 😊 Love to have ya!
I do not profess to have ridden many of the NEO trails, but which do you think would move the needle for someone like Phil? I think of NEO trails as more XC and less ‘jumpy’
Chris R. I am thinking Vultures knob and Mohican...even though they aren't specifically downhill, they are challenging, at least for Ohio!
This is insanely satisfying
Rays is the best place to be in the winter... kind of makes me hate summer lol #ride for rays
Here in Dayton Ohio we have an indoor bike park that's just a few years old now.
The County Metro Parks or, the Miami Valley MTB Association used to run shuttles from here up to Cleveland. To visit Rays' in the wintertime. I don't think they still do that however. A friend of mine told that he used it at least once. It was a pretty long day. With at least three hours travel time each way.
Has to be the best indoor bike park in the world! Added this to my list!
Literally went to rays yesterday, it’s crazy how timid some of the stuff I completely ate it on looks on camera.
Dude it’s so fun
Hey, I'm Ben and I thought this video is helpful because I am relative to the area and was also planning to go here. Thanks!
Really great seeing so much of Rays, Thanks
This is so relaxing
I can't even imagine how cool it must be to ride a place like this! I wish this was near me!
Yeah man its fucking amazing when you live 20 minutes away from it
There is something for everyone at Ray's, I'm 48 ,took my wife ,son 2 daughters and their boyfriends. We we're there for 7 hours. Great fun was had by all.....one of the boys is really getting into our sport now. Came home and bought a bmx.
A place like this in SoCal would make millions. No joke. The only good bike park we have in SoCal is snow summit and some smaller parks near it and they’re closed like 75% of the year.
We need that in the Seattle area! What an amazing place!! Thanks for the tour brother!
THAT was an adventure...EXCELLENT!!
That looks like a complete Yeehaw of a pump track right there 🤠🤙
lol
In a word: WOW. Thanks for sharing
I'm glad you appreciated this :)
@@SkillsWithPhilHeck yeah, buddy!
This looks like someone had mixed feelings of "maybe I can travel all the way to Whistler every year or just fuck it I'm going to build a Whistler in a fuckin warehouse... hold my beer"
That looks like a blast.
I love the mic clipped to his hair in the beginning!
Damn I would be afraid to knock my face on one of these trust in the roof aha
There's are no shortages of sketchy pipes. I know quite a few riders who've had run-ins with them.
So you dont truss yourself not to hit a trust.
I scuffed my helmet on the overhead bricks after the jump at 10:08
I was literally there yesterday 👍🏻👍🏻😀😀
That park looks sick! Great video!
Those kids are freakin' getting it!
I guess Cleveland Rocks because that place looks amazing!!!
I have got to get out to this place, some day. It looks amazing!
If you are ever in the area again you need to check out DTE energy trail in Chelsea Michigan. It has some awesome flow/jump trails.
Great video showing the coolness of what all Ray's has! If you ever have time check out Mike's bike park in Dayton Ohio. Great smaller version but hey you might run into Tommy Zula.
If i had more time i was going to go there. I've been following them for a while now as they grow. I definitely want to make it out there
Rays is so awesome I’ve been there twice and it’s amazing
Dude, nature is taking over your living room :o
Thanks Phil!!!
That looks awesome!!!
This place is amazing!!!!!
Is your room hot boxed? Huge fan of your vids by the way. I normally would just ride until your videos inspired me to set up some cone courses and start sessioning
Wow, that place is massive!🍊🍢🌌 Thanks for sharing all of the B-Roll🐝🍥.
That place looks so fun.
I love how you have the mic in your hair :)
This place looks so amazing. A place like this would be bank down here in Florida. Maybe I'll come across a millionaire and have him build one.
You could make this outside in florida
@@georgebamber6871 yea you could
Looks sickkk 🤘🤘🤘
should be called smash n crash or the collider scope ! its far too small to have fun in, just watching you gave me the shits , thanks for the opportunity to see somewhere different thought .
It's not going to replace the real thing, don't knock it until you go there. When there's limited riding options, you gotta get creative. Besides, I didn't see a single person not having fun. There's a room for everybody, and it's a good break from the usual terrain.
Hey phil, what type of camera do you have? I’ve been in the market for a new camera and im not sure what to get. Keep up the good vids👌🏻
I recently bought a Sony a7iii with a 16-35mm lens. It's not cheap by any means. If I were to recommend any camera right now it'd be the Sony a64000 which was recently released and is one of the only sony that has a flip out selfi screen.
Skills With Phil Thanks for the info. I just need a nee camera because i either have to film with a phone or a gopro 5. Thanks for your opinion!
Hi Phil what was the song at five minutes?
Thanks
In other words its a "maze"
How is the air inside there? I feel like there is a lot of humidity. Maybe I’m wrong, but I couldn’t help but wonder.
It's not nearly as bad as you'd think. There's an industrial smell that's more noticeable in some of the more secluded rooms but it's not something that stood out. On the other hand, the lack of natural sunlight is way more noticeable, but you really only notice that when you step outside and realized how much you missed it haha.
A tip - lavalier and other cardioid mics record sound coming from your diaphragm as well as your mouth, so placing it abouts where your thumb meets your chest when you're holding your pointer finger to your mouth is the ideal placement for the best audio
Nice caption 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻👍👍👍
Damn, I might just take a trip to Ohio just to check this place out lol
Definitely neat looking! My only questions would be, how tall are you Phil? I'm 6'9 and I'm seeing you duck or almost brush the ceiling alot in this video so maybe not for me haha.
I'm 5'10 and I didn't have any issue riding things normally, but there were a few gaps I was looking at where hitting your head on a pipes was a guarantee. It's something you do need to aware of for sure.
What a gem
I love riding here. I have family that lives in Ohio so I ride here whenever I get a chance
Looks like heaven
Nice share Phill thank you. And a generous advertising for the bike park. Just a thought, do the kids these days know who/what Willy Wonka is? 😊
Be well
-Sam
Willy Wonka transcends generations, it was already an old movie when I watched it in 1st grade.😂
Is the place always so empty? I've seen other youtubers visit and it always seems like they have the place to themselves.
Great question! Come on a Saturday and Sunday mid day and it's a zoo, come during the off hours and you can get more space to yourself. The POV lap was filmed at 9:30am and the 3rd person shots were filmed at 7:30pm on a Saturday which is well outside their peak hours. I don't like to film when is busy so I'm not getting in people's way and killing their fun.
It's usually busy in the late morning on Saturdays and after first shift hours on weekdays. Sundays all day, early mornings, and late evening (after 7) are pretty chill. The park is big enough that there's almost always areas that aren't packed when it's busy, so there's no real need to avoid peak hours.
This place is amazing just went today
If you crash, the Oompa Loompas will be there cherishing your suffering
He pro-tec he attac
Is Ray's a beginner and kid friendly bike park?
Oh yeah! There's literally rooms with lines painted on the ground all the way up to big jumps with everything in between. I think that's one of rays strongest selling points, you could go there with any level rider and find something
I went there as a total newb with a bunch of other first timers. The staff gave us a free group lesson, and basically said, “it’s in everyone’s best interest if we get you guys comfortable before everyone shows up after lunch.” Go at off hours. Early morning is probably best.
@@Christopher_R thanks for the tip. I am hoping to find those off peak hours for sure.
Omw there tomorrow!
Have fun dude!!
19 min of skills with Phil sign me up
Can u do a video of just riding every track and naming each one
That would be impossible to do, the video would be so outlandishly long.
Yh it will be good though
This is a biking wonderland! , wouldnt be able to have this place in australia though..... workplace health and safety won't allow it.
Yeah it's definitely pushing the limits of what goes in the US as well. This was a case of build it and ask for forgiveness from the town and they got really lucky that it provides such a huge benifit.
My hometown spot!!
The park is so sick.
You should do another mini rocker video phil
I should shouldn't I humm...
Where is the music from?
Was there Saturday
14:19 you almost eat it! “Cross-rutted”
I was trying to get into the high line, but I was eyeing up where I just came from and I realized that when I was in the air haha!
Skills With Phil My god … yeah, looked like you were trying to go high for a sec but I wasn’t sure! Haha. Great vid, man. This park is insane
Sick 🤘🏽🤘🏽
Going there Sunday
This would be great with commentary. You're a skilled rider, you could session various sections and articulate the intent of each.
I live in Ohio, I am am a regular there, what you saying is sooooooo true!
Anyone else with me when I say 'snake jazz' ?????
I live so close it’s crazy
I would of been really cool if you could of showed how the trails ride, instead of the sped up video...
Unfortunately the footage was way to crappy. Without knowing I had adjusted a bunch of the GoPro setting and as a result it looked like garbage. I was able to mask some of it by speeding it up and applying additional stabilization.
Rays is to bike parks what jungle jim's is to grocery stores!
I bet it smells great in there.
The smell actually isn't that bad, a little stuffy but not horrendous. The lighting in the other hand is not the greatest. Stepping outside after a day inside is pretty nice change of scenery for the eyes.
"how much can we fit in this hall"
-
"yes"
Why didn’t you bring Seth with you?
Did anyone else notice the new channel logo?
Using your long hair to hold your microphone. Priorities!
The real question is how does it smell? I am assuming like wood and sweat.
Thats EXACTLY what it smells like but not all the time
It smells like Ray's
Smells like air, woody air. Less sweat.
Like if you have never been to Ray's MTB park
More like Wheelie Wonka!
It looks like you would pay a stiff penalty for any mistakes. I’m assuming a release form would have to be signed before you can enter.
As far as these places go, this place is actually pretty safe especially if you compare it to most skateparks where there isn't a traffic flow. But yes you do have to sign a waiver.
What does moen mean
It's a company based out of Ohio that makes high end Faucets, sinks, and those kinds of things. Odd sponsors for sure, but I made ita point to look it up because I had no idea either.
