Wow thank you so much for this. I've always wanted to learn how to make Gravy. I think everybody does it differently cuz some people use butter and flour. Some use oil. Different strokes for different folks
I love your video, everything you did was wonderful. Now I need to get those big size seasonings. Wonderful woman....thank you I will be trying it your way..
Was always afraid to try to make gravy from scratch. Watched your video and tried it for Sunday chicken dinner. It was awesome. So many raves .. thank You
I am so happy it helped you. To some people it seems crazy to use water, but it works. When our grandmother's went through the depression they could make a rock taste good. You work with what ya got.
It will taste a whole lot better if you don’t use oil. Butter or meat fat is the way to go. Your gravy looks wonderful, but I would use better than bullion to season it with to give it a nice beefy flavor.
My Grandmother could never give me an exact recipe. You learned by watching or you learned by failing. I used to watch her make egg noodles from scratch. They were so good raw. She didn't mind I was eating all her work. So much work. She even made vinegar pies. My advice is to look at the size pan she's using. How full of grease is it? Then she's using a cup for the flour. She uses almost the entire cup. I hate wasting food but it happens when you're trying to learn. I think you could make this recipe just fine by watching. I'm using grease from fried chicken. Good luck.
I’m a northerner. I love your accent, it’s very soothing.
Thanks so much for the sweet complement. ❤️
wait wtf
If you hear that accent you know every bit of food she cooks is delicious!
You aren't going to find it soothing if she brings a klan rally to your doorstep
I love how easy you made that look and it turned out so smooth thank you so much cool
I love brown gravy with my mashed potatoes. Thanks for sharing.
Mmmm, the gravy looks delicious! A must try.

That Saints cup just says it all. What would life be without our Southern Bells and gravy?
Love me some gravy. Thanks for watching 😊
I watched 8 videos before yours on this topic, and you by far have the best roux method. Great video. It looked like it turned out great.
Glad it was helpful. Thanks for the positive feedback. 😊

Awesome looks amazing!! I put gravy on everything!!! Rice and gravy for breakfast! Keep the videos coming GOD bless you!!
I've never use oil. It has to be bacon grease or lard that meat was fried in. Butter even, but that I use for white gravy. Looks good.
I don't use bacon grease ...just because I don't prefer it. My mom uses if tho. Thanks for watching.
Subbed! Thanks!

Thank you for watching ❣️
Great looking gravy, but I'm just curious... why did you add water instead of broth? It would have given a lot more flavor.
This is the gravy I grew up on. It's how my grandmother made it.
Looks great! Add chili powder and cumin and you have enchilada gravy! Add Tony Chachere and you have---well, you are from Louisiana..never mind :)
Can't hear what kinds of seasonings you put in there or how much

Question: wouldn't beef broth be better?! I came looking for a recipe and found your video. It's an honest question.
Yes, you can use beef broth. It's honestly delicious without using it tho. Just season it well.
That’s called that good God gravy 😅
Thank you
Thanks so much for watching
What was the last seasoning you added.
I add salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder
@@reitzell7 Thank you for your reply much is appreciated.
Do you use cold or warm water?
Gravy is pretty simple to make...but it took many errors to get it correct. 😆 Years of trial and error. 💯
Yes, it's a learning process. Thanks for watching.
That before utube came along! For me anyway. Lol.
Judging by your accent, that is probably amazing gravy.

No onions! 😟
sounds and looks goods, too bad you don't include the recipe and how to make it. :(
